I Am Gonna Love You
He tried to keep himself standing by leaning on the hospital wall but it was impossible, He hadn't taken anything almost in the last 12 hours no food no drink no water. His eyes were blood shot red deprive of sleep, anxiety due to tension and tiredness making it worse. He sat down in a chair covering his face with palms keeping his elbows on his thigh for support. He forgot for how long he sat there.. When he opened his eyes it was dark everywhere. There was no trace of his family, no doctors or nurses. He stood up & noticed light among the darkness coming from a room in a corner. He started to walk fast towards the room with a hope & took forever to reach near the room. He peaked into the room. There she was, in a white gown with a small stitch on head leaning backwardly on the hospital bed in a half sleeping/seating position. She smiled and said in a soft tone, "I am leaving raman.." there was a grimace on her face. He walked near her being confused, "this is what you wanted."
"I would never comeback." she whispered. The next moment he hugged her tight and blabbered, "no I didn't wanted that I swear.." and started crying severely. He realised he never cried like this before. She hugged him back and caressed the back of his head which rested on her bosom, "It's too late Raman." After that she won't say anymore. Her hands won't move anymore. He won't hear her heart beat anymore ... He hugged her more tightly and shouted his lungs out, "Ishita..."
Flashback
It was a summer evening when Raman Kumar Bhalla and Ishita Iyer met for the 1st time in a coffee shop. She came with her sister mihika to meet Mihika's boyfriend & Raman Bhalla to meet his best friend Mihir's girlfriend.. They checked out each other secretly.
Adjusted her dupatta, tried to tuck that lone strand that disturbed her while she checked the rashes of his niece 3month old annanya and questioned simmi. Their eyes met for a brief second as he imagined throwing that dupatta away pulling her close kissing those soft lips however long he want.. At the exact moment she lowered her gaze, to him it looked like an approval.. This was their second meeting at her clinic, she worked as an assistant doctor under a senior paediatrician.
He avoided meeting of eyes or any accidental touch. She informed him that she was here to check her friend's baby that has fever, he nodded. Suddenly the elevator stopped since the electricity went away. He closed his eyes and tried to suppress his libido as she innocently tried to stay close being scared of the dark.
Pinned her to the cold elevator wall, captured her lips, tasted nibbled kissed again and again every area in between her lips to neck to earlobe, expert hands roamed over her body to explore, his stubble moved along her chicks/neck making a sound, she moaned erotically, unable to match him she mellowed into his arms weakly almost falling.
His hand warped around her waist, hers around his neck moving through his gelled hair messing it, her dupatta vanity laid on floor, curls out of clutch, misplaced bindi, one side shoulder uncovered revealing inner, his first 2 buttons undone. This was how they found each other when the elevator started suddenly after seven minute. At the ground floor an old lady noticed them. "Your wife is beautiful." she complimented about her to him.
That's it. No talk No number exchange No sorry No explanation. She cooked a story in her mind to convince herself that she had fallen into his clever ruse, agreed for marriage instead of shrugging the matter off like other times. He came to know about this from Mihir at Rinki's birthday party.
She would find him waiting for her in parking area of her clinic. She left him speechless by ranting in a chocking voice all her heart out making him a deceiver and herself a victim and walked away saying, "hope I won't even see you at mihir Mihika's wedding."
The next day evening upon seeing him again she asked unbelievable, "You are desperate to spend a night with me, no?"
"No !!! I-m desperate to spend my every night with you." he cleverly proposed and this one sentence almost mollified her. "you are rejected." she shrieked at his clever reply. He gave her a -go ahead and reject- and challenged replying, "I promise you won't see me at mihir and Mihika's wedding." and his words were so powerful that she ended up marrying him within a month.
Her parents were lecturers. His dad, an architect mom, owner of a NGO. They all happily agreed for the marriage. Wedding, reception every function was a grand celebration.
After a 7 days of marriage he came back from his 2 day trip only to find out that she was very upset as his aunt taunted her regarding his trip. she was all ready for a fight when he came upstairs with her dinner. she first gobbled up everything almost sobbing all the time in between sniffling ,chocking, smearing tears all over her face making it wet. He watched in awe as he could remember yesterday she ate and behaved like a normal person in the dining. The help came to take the plates and gave them a strange look like, "umm are you guys really a newly married couple??" she got up blabbered and wherever she could in that process hurting her left knee 2 times at the same spot. He got up to check on her, "all this is because of you- you married me only to take your revenge.. now once you get my body you are going to leave.."
This time he seriously moved towards her she shirked like a lion, threw whatever she could throw at him, he pulled her leg, forcefully kissed her to stop. She screamed, protested by hitting him with her fist. Slowly her protests faded, screams turned into pleasurable moans, nails dug into his skin and never mind she surrendered herself to him for the 1st time fully -he devoured every inch of her skin, drank all her tears squelching. At the end he pulled her close to his body, she snuggled on to his chest with eyes closed not wanting to see his expression as he covered the sheets over them- it became a routine she ate her dinner .. he didn't left her more than few hours for rest of the 1st month that she took off from her job due to marriage.
Steadily he started winning her trust- during shopping while she thought everyone left her she found him waiting for her.. he took care of her every little need. he figured she might be a partly docile Dil ,Sil,sister but she was a crazy wife-. She was more reckless, wild around him, throwing a fit, demanding, expecting him to take care of everything. He let her be like that. She acknowledged that he was a practical person who didn-t believed in cheesy stuffs.
No roses, no romantic talk, no candles, no I love you, yet he was able to made her feel loved..
He didn't waited for any occasion, went ahead and brought a new car along with a driver, she didn't wanted to sell her old one, he let it be
Right after mihir and mihika-s marriage she discovered her pregnancy which she didn-t wanted to continue. He was adamant that he wanted the baby, she continued the pregnancy only for him, once her nausea was over she enjoyed every bit of the pregnancy, he pampered her as much he could.
Finally on a Monday morning Ruhi was born.the whole family was overjoyed to have a daughter.. ruhi proved to be extremely lucky for her father when he won CEO of the year award just after a month.. she took maternity live for 3 months -she could see her career going down with each passing day of her marriage.. she had taken off for wedding,then for two honeymoon trips, then again for last month of her pregnancy and now for ruhi.. he tried to hard to spent time with his two girls but it was just too hard with his responsibilities. She started taking this as an offence when she could see mihika fully concentrated on her carrier with mihir-s support-here she almost stopped attending any get together & outing with friends, there was a baby sitter but it-s just too hard for her to leave her daughter alone again after working hours and go -.everyone loved ruhi but all were too busy to sit with the kid for 3 hours- he was miffed and the sore point was why couldn-t she just took 6 months off as ruhi needed. The first day ruhi cried continuously as she wanted to be fed by her mom-. He stopped interacting with her with an attitude YOU DON-T CARE FOR MY 3 MONTH INFANT SO DON-T EXPECT ANYTHING-. she still managed , chatted animatedly with her daughter at night-. He came late and played with his daughter without disturbing her but it ticked her off... she weep many nights pretending to sleep feeling..
But everything became worse when she left her to attend a friend-s birthday daughter her daughter with the baby sitter (a young girl) for 3 hours after a lot of hesitation.. when he came back early only to find his daughter crying after trying to suck on a pin.. that young girl have no idea how to pacify the kid -she came back
They argued for almost 45 min when she blurted - I am the one who has to sacrifice for you and your daughter - -fine you don-t have to anymore-from now onwards I would manage for both of us- she fall on the ground in despair realising her mistake- it didn-t ended here it lead to create a world war 3 in between his parents and him. They defended their DIL reasoning everyday she gave more than 18 hours to her daughter so their was no way they can allow him to keep ruhi away from her- he just went away at the night 1 a.m. she heard from rinki her FIL ordered to go away..
Separation was more vulnerable -he checked on his daughter in video chat with Rinki.. Didn-t replied any of her message-after 3 weeks she was full of remorse- she went to his office 2 times- to say sorry but couldn-t meet him- well he spent his many nights in office or at his Mumbai flat- travelled from here to there to distract himself..for no reason started berating on poor employees -he waited his father to call back..he wanted her to persuade his dad and call him back..
Media intervened into it by linking him up with some famous model exaggerating the separation leading to divorce-.he didn-t care but he knew that his wife-s hyperactive mind was going to react in a goofy way- she was sent the link from an unknown number- she sent a message -you want a divorce ??- went in her old car for work.. for a second she was absent minded and the next second the car crashed, and she was badly trapped as the door didn-t open..
Somehow she was rescued by few brave people, her breathing almost stopped , lost blood and fractured her elbow..
He rushed to the hospital -his head hurt very badly He sat down in a chair covering his face with palms keeping his elbows on his thigh for support and lost his consciousness due to weakness..
When he woke up in a bed he desperately wanted to know about her -he was told she was out of danger- he reassured himself that it was just a bad dream.
He went home after almost 4 week...rinki told ruhi was out of control, he put his daughter to sleep by soothing- found her I-pod played the most played song.
The song sounded more meaningful than ever, salty waters formed in his eyes.
He determined himself- stayed by her side every time in hospital, took care of her food medicines everything, she felt awkward with the silence but he didn't care.. he politely denied her father-s request to take her with them after discharge indicating there was no plan of divorce..
When she came back home and her daughter-s happiness was ineffable-
At the midnight when she woke he rested by her side - can you promise me to never ever to pull such stunts- he said directly looking into her eyes -then will you love me back again- she shot back in a soft voice.
He pulled her close and confessed -no matter where I am , alive or not I always love you I am going to love you till my last breath - she hugged him as an reply and caressed his back-
He kept his head on her bosom and listened to her heartbeat and reassured himself again that was just a bad dream.
