Taklu said in his recent interview that yhm is a love story of a mother and daughter 😡
Did he himself write yhm in its intial days??😡
Ekta aur taklu ko kya problem hein, Raman ko include karne ke liye??😡
Don't know why do I often get a doubt that if taklu is really the writer of initial days of yhm??😡
After leap, pucca woh hi hoga😄
In Budapest track, you can see the difference!!
Clearly, very clearly, IshRa scenes have been written in one frame of mind and Shagun scenes in Budapest have been carelessly written just to give her some time.
The disparities in terms of quality in both the scenes, just makes me wonder if only one person has written both these things??😲

When we lose the person we love or the love we have for a person it leaves a deep scar and a void. The void needs to be filled. In the case of Raman after Shaguns betrayal he harboured bitterness and anger towards all. He was smarting from the humiliation meted out to him. Professionally it nourished the desire to prove himself. Personally he begun to sting and spew venom at family and at strangers ensuring non dared to come close and discover his vulnerability. The custody battle was not because he loved and cared for Ruhi but to settle scores. Till the girl child campaign neither did he show he lived Ruhi dearly nor did he think she loved him most.
Ishitha on the other hand chose to fill the void with love and care. The reason she became a pediatric surgeon that will attend calls at even unearthly hours is she couldn't bear to see a child in pain . It is this train that is central to her character that prompts her to be addressed as ishima by several next gen characters.
The way she empathetically handles Romi, Mihir, Shagun Simmi and ofcourse the kids wins them over to her side. This trait gets manipulated at times yet even to Bala's mom she has never once spoken rudely or meanly though that lady typifies all meaness to her. She tries her best to be the peacemaker and does the impossible like cooking chicken for Shaila Bua
She is at peace with herself as the love in her heart can be unabashedly showered on others. It doesn't require the ties of an umblical cord.
She loves and cares for people which is why she slips into her lecturing mode when she feels she needs to correct the person she cares for.
The Ishitha of the novel is as insecure and manipulative as Shagun. Ishitha of the show on the other hand is an embodiment of compassion and care to such an extent it can be considered hamartoma.
When she loses Ruhi to Nidhi and Raman blames her for it she loses the purpose for existence as her love has been vilified. She begins to doubt her capacity to care.
Again seeing Mani in the helpless state due to her and sensing Alias need for care and love she dons the hat of Amma . Love gives her a purpose to exist and unlike Raman who loves his family Ishitha has love and compassion for almost everybody. It is this love that gradually changes Yoshi's resentment and Raman and Simmis hatred for her.
Anyone carefully observing her would sense the extent to which she would stretch to protect the ones she loves.
Raman chose to fill the void with hate which gradually got emptied by Ishitha s unstinting support to him and gradually he begins to express love for others.
The two are broken souls yet their coping mechanism is so varied. They are eternal lovers and their love for each other puts them in peril at times.
Apologies for a late response!!! Thank you for the insights!!! I still remember our discussion on Raman, his vicarious pleasure in accepting Yug .
Yes, Raman in the novel comes across as a more affable and warm person, more just in his treatment towards the children. However, he falls pale in comparison to Raman Kumar Bhalla of YHM.. I see him as a nondescript and banal personality who lacked the killer instinct..He was never the charismatic RKB of YHM, in fact he could never become RKB . These findings could be biased since I read the novel only after watching YHM ..
For me RKB is a showstopper, a host of contrasting emotions like no other, and more importantly he is human. The transformation of Raman into RKB was a natural reaction after a horrific betrayal, an uxorious husband turned into a discourteous snob. He chose the path of hate and vendetta for a reason..
He was apprehensive of the word love.. When you get betrayed by the putative 'soulmate' , whom you loved to the moon and begot two children, it would tear the soul apart.. It's a blow to the male ego as well to come to terms about your wife's infidelity , an undeniable fact.. The love in him was all scorched up, yet there was a vestige in the form of Ruhi..
Raman, a paragon of person who channeled the inner negative energies to script one of the greatest comebacks ever. It's not necessary to treat ego with pessimism, you shouldn't be narcissistic (as Shagun 😹) but qualified ego doesn't hurt your chances. In fact, ego, an emotion metamorphosed a naive, simple and homely Happy Puttar into a savvy, sophisticated and sexy 😉 RKB, the qualities which lured Shagun towards Ashok Khanna, the debonair.
An astronomical rise from an ordinary employee into an award winning CEO resurrected his male ego like no other. Raman taunted for his Aukaat, was on par with Ashok, his nemesis and nightmare who snatched away his love, happiness and gullibility as well. However, RKB couldn't compete with Ashok in terms of height, an impossible proposition to scale 🤣😅. To satiate his ego, RKB drubbed him off as che foot, do inch 😁😆, an appeasement. Furthermore, he goes green on hearing Ishita's penchant for 'height' and eventually ends up looking taller 😜
Another reason for fostering hate was the ecosystem around him. By virtue of his vocation, he crossed paths with Ashok frequently that left his wounds suppurating. He lived in abeyance and kept aloof from the family. Moreover, he shared a cold relationship with his father and his mother was more desolate than him, lamenting over the loss of Ghar ki Chirag as well. His siblings were younger at the time of disaster and unsure of their participation. Contrarily, Ishita was shielded by her family, especially Vandu and Bala came to her rescue. The former was always a support system to Ishita and the later instilled courage & rationale into her. Also, Ishita was far off from Subbu, a respite that was a luxury to RKB. In brief, RKB neither had the assuaging convalescence nor a shoulder to cry on. There was no medicine (before Ishita) to ameliorate his pain 😭
Custody battle did involve clash of egos yet it was also the biggest triumph of a desperate father. Yes, RKB wanted to seek revenge for Adi's loss but at the same time Ruhi was never seen as a means to accomplish his vengeance. There were instances through the custody battle that throw light on how wrenched Raman was, after loosing Ruhi 😢. In case of Ruhi, Raman feigned ignorance but was always affected by her..
In the opening episodes, during the time of Jagrata , initially Raman gets lured towards Ruhi but backs off at the last moment. The mole undone him, a reminiscent of Shagun's betrayal that was still afresh in his heart. In a way, hate for Shagun suppressed his love for Ruhi.
Two stark incidents during the custody battle cement his tadap for Ruhi. The one scene where he breaks down after Ruhi introduces him as her father over a phone call. The epic dialogue " Mai busy nahi hoo beta" while caressesing her pic 😭 sums up his desperation. Another catch was on the eve of engagement, when Ruhi inquires about the number succeeding 50 to continue with her count of stars. "Mai wada karte hui, tumhe iss ghar pe vapas le aunga ", shows his determination to get Ruhi back. Also in the subsequent altercation with Shagun, Raman asserts that he found a better mother for Ruhi which shows the importance of Ruhi in his life.. Ruhi was never a trophy child to Raman but was/is/will be a prized possession..Karan Patel was brilliant with capital B in those scenes, the pain was tangible and his aura was magical...
As stated earlier, love for Ruhi was always there but Raman at times didn't perceive it and Ishita, the evangelist, did the rest by invoking the latent love buried deep inside him. As you have rightly put in, the girl child incident made the love apparent.
However, I don't necessarily feel Raman was venom spewing or a hate monger at any point of time in YHM. RKB had an epidermal coating of nonchalance to shield his vulnerability. Yes he was snobbish and pugnacious but was not malevolent. He was hell bent against disloyal wives who flaunted their lacy, diaphanous and non existent blouses 😜 . He refrained from his family but never dodged away from the responsibilities. He provided a sweat free life to his parents, took care of Romi' s education along with that of Rinki's and married off Simmi in a pompous manner. Though he hadn't displayed much warmth but was never hostile towards his family, even in his darkest period.
Furthermore, when he was still a slogger , he provided the steam to Poornima's uncooked dreams (Poornima is the mother of Shagun). In spite of Mihir's involuntary involvement in Shagun's treachery, Raman nurtured him, became his brother, guide and well wisher, a deliberate act of compassion.
Raman and Ishita had an acrimonious head start , an effect of untoward events. Ishita from the onset was bit judgemental about Raman and his role as a father. However, Raman had a positive impression on Ishita after seeing her veritable concern towards Ruhi post the odd hour treatment. In fact, RKB recorded a positive feedback with the team that was processing Ishita's adoption request. Also, during the honking brawl with Ishita, he goes out of his way to help an elderly man in moving out furniture. He still had the human element , but tangy 😆
It was only after Mrs Iyer's office goof up, he labelled Ishita as gold digger, his past was still haunting him. The most IshRalicious scene before wedding, when Raman saves Ishita from goons on a deserted road, took place after their altercation over Mihir- Mihika's love proposal. He could have left her to the fate after their calamitous start but still he respected women, their integrity and modesty. Also, he was in awe of Ishita's honesty, after listening to her upright conversation with Prateek.
Moreover, he trashed Romi on learning his luscious act against Mihika. These examples do substantiate that he still had a heart but was emasculated and it required a munificent and patient Ishita to reignite and invigorate him and his heart 😍. Although, RKB was monikered Raavan Kumar, he was never a Raavan...
In summary, RKB of YHM retained the core property of a desperate father, the most striking trait , in the novel but he also donned the roles of a obsessive lover, possessive, supportive and accommodative husband, dutiful son, doting brother, relentless opponent, shrewd businessman, sympathetic boss and above all a dynamic Human Being 🤩😘.
With this, I conclude my tribute to RKB, the unassailable male lead who captured millions of hearts 😭☹️😥 Time to bid farewell to RKB and Karan Patel.. If not for the peerless, flawless and seamless KP , RKB wouldn't have been a blockbuster. He infused soul into RKB with his mastery over emotions and deft touches. And not to forget his eloquent eyes, they say it all.. Thank you Karan Patel, your legacy as Raman is untouchable🙇 🙏👏.. Raman Kumar Bhalla = Karan Patel. PERIOD.
Thank you for putting up with my rant !!!

People here are left high and dry, and posts like these leave us happy 😊
I love reading about Ishita and Raman in different perspectives.😊
No two people can see the world in same way, we see the world in a way, we chose to,and our choices depend on all our experiences😊
I cannot see IshRa in a different perspective, other than what I know and what I have experienced. And reading such diverse perspectives from you people is like a breath of fresh air.
Please keep writing😊
First let me tender my apologies for the delayed reply.. Thank you so much for those motivating comments and when it comes from the Queen, it's indeed more special😀.
The IshRa in your write up have only love between them, such a treat for readers 👏.. With Raman gone, IshRa is relegated to a soul without life, extremely depressing and uninspiring 😭😥☹️.
Thank you for all those dazzling write ups dear, especially the one on Ishita's gushy thoughts post landing in Delhi, before her farce as Shaina, that was incredible, too good 👍
