Next morning, ishita got up only to see Ruhi sleeping peacefully cuddled in her. She smiled seeing her and kissed her temple. She got and went to freshen up.
After an hour, she came out wrapped in the bathrobe. She changed into her clothes and went down as she use to lite a diya in front of the idol. She look around and saw a small temple in the house. She lite a diya there and prayed to show her a way to keep Ruhi near to bhallas. After praying she was going to her room when she heard sound of a utensil falling followed by someone's scream.
Ishita -kiski awaaz hai, she thought and ran to the kitchen and saw raman standing there while the whole tea along with the utensil was on his leg.
Ishita ran to him and said -oh shit, yeh kaise hua?? U r ok naa.
Raman -haan, I mean nahi. It's paining. Jal gaya main.
Ishita held him by shoulder and said -main aapko room mein le chalti hoon.
Raman -nahi, I can manage.
Ishita -arey aapko chot lag gayi hai. Come with me.
Raman -nahi, I can, he was saying when she said -dont argue, making him stop. She took him to his room and he went to his washroom. He put his feet under cold water and felt relieved.
He came after five minutes and saw ishita was still there.
Raman -thanks for ur help. Ab aap jaiye.
Ishita nodded and was going when she turned and said -aap kitchen mein kya kar rahe the??
Raman -woh actually, I was working since four, toh neend aa rahi thi. Bahut important presentation thi, can't sleep. So went to make tea. But bartan phisal gaya and I end up hurting myself.
Ishita -oh, OK. Aap rest kijiye. She said and went out.
Raman made a face and said -itna pucha, I thought ki chai peelayengi. But no, she is lady raavan Kumar. How can she help me. He thought and start looking for the ointment to apply.
Raman was still looking for the ointment when ishita showed up with two cups of tea.
Ishita -main chai laayi hoon. She said and Raman look at her in disbelief.
Raman -aap? chai laayi hai??mere liye??
Ishita -haan, kyun kuch problem hai??
Raman -khud bana kar??
Ishita -nahi, import karwaya hai. She said smiling making him smile too.
Raman -aap hasti bhi hai??
Ishita -nahi, sirf sabko jail mein dalwati hoon. Ab chai peeyenge aap??
Raman nodded and said -ofcourse, I don't wanna go to jail. He said and start sipping tea.
Ishita look at the burn and said -its looking bad, kuch ointment lagaa lijiye.
Raman -i was looking for one. But mila nahi.
Ishita-tell me, I can search. If u allow.
Raman -yes please ,that drawer in right.
Ishita walked and look at the drawer, then in another and could finally got it. She gave that to raman and he took out a little to apply on his legs but couldn't apply as he was scared. He was just blowing air on his burns making a scared face making ishita smile.
Raman look at her and said -udhar dekho, no, u go from here. He said making a baby face making ishita smile more making him annoyed.
Raman -dusron ke zakhmo par hasti ho.too bad, go from here.
Ishita -i am sorry, but how u r going to apply like this.
Raman look at her and said -bahut dard karega, I am scared. Thoda saa.
Ishita-main kar doon.
Raman thought for a while and then gave her the ointment saying -dheere se.
Ishita nodded and start applying ointment on his burn while continued blowing air on his burns. Ishita was smiling seeing his antics but suddenly she remembered herself applying ointment on her burns while subbu kicking her. Her expression changed drastically remembering the incident while her eyes got filled.
Raman who was blowing air saw her and said -ishita, r u OK??
Ishita just look at him and he asked again. She didn't said anything just went keeping the ointment there. Raman tried to go behind her but couldn't walk because of the burn. He just look at her retreating figure and thought-isse kya ho gaya achanak??Kahin koi purani yaad toh nahi aa gayi??
Ishita ran to her room and locked the door. She sat on the room and cried for long remembering all his tortures.
At breakfast, Ishra met. Raman was talking with ishita thinking to ask about her reaction but she was avoiding talking to him. She just asked about his wound and then went up stairs having very little food.
Ruhi called raman, seeking his attention and raman got indulge in her.
Slowly two days passed like this. Ruhi was happily living with ishita and bhallas while ishita was thinking ways to stay near bhallas and finally got an idea.
Next morning, she went to meet Raman. Raman was getting ready for his office when there was a knock on the door.
Raman -come in, he said and ishita came in.
Raman -arey ishita , aaiye naa.
Ishita -mujhe aapse kuch baat karni hai.
Raman -boliye?? He said giving her a seat.
Ishita -i have to go back. She said making Raman stop his work and look at her.
Ishita -it's been long since I have left my work. Ab mujhe wapas jaana hoga.
Raman -aap ruhi ko??
Ishita nodded in yes making his face fell.
Ishita -i have to take her along, I can't leave her here.
Raman -ofcourse, u have to take her along. that's right. How can u leave her with us. Sawaal hi nahi uthta. He said looking at ishita but knowing what to say while his eyes got teary thinking of Ruhi going away from him.
Ishita just nodded seeing him not saying anything and then turn to go thinking whether to say what she has thought, on other hand raman was also thinking to ask something. Both were thinking when she turned to say something and raman too look at her to ask something and then both asked together.
Raman -kuch ho nahi sakta??
Ishita -kuch socha hai maine.
Raman look at her with hopeful eyes when she asked -kitna pyaar karte hai aap ruhi se??
Raman -bahut, itna jitna shayad main bayaan nahi kar sakta.
Ishita -kis hadh tak jaa sakte hai usse apne paas rakhne ke liye??
Raman -kisi bhi hadh tak, if u want I can buy u a apartment next to me. Aap delhi shift ho sakti hai, yaa agar aap chahe toh main Mumbai shift ho jaata hoon. Uske kareeb rehne ke liye main kuch bhi kar sakta hoon.
Ishita -yeh toh aaj ki baat hai, aaj aap meri beti se bahut pyaar karte hai. U r ready to do anything for her. But kal ko jab aapki shaadi ho jayegi, aapka khud ka baby ho jayega. Tab toh Ruhi aapke liye important nahi rahegi. U will have ur own family to love and look after. Lekin tab tak meri bachchi ko aapki aadat pad chuki hogi. How she will bear ur indifference.
Raman -aisa kabhi nahi hoga, mere liye hamesha Ruhi meri pehli preference hogi. I will always love her like my first born.
Ishita -aisa nahi hoga, Raman. Kyunki woh aapki bachchi nahi hai. Aapke khud ke bachche hone ke baad u will forget her. Aur meri bachchi woh bardasht nahi kar payegi. Woh aaj aapki judaai bardasht nahi kar paati, kuch saalon baad kaise karegi.
Raman -nothing like that will happen. I will always love her. She will always be same important to me. I love her, I love her alot. But usse apne saath rakhne ke liye main kuch bhi kar sakta hoon. He was saying when she said -uski maa se shaadi bhi. She said making Raman shocked.
He look at ishita all shocked when she said again -boliye raman, Ruhi ko apni zindagi mein rakhne ke liye, kya aap uski mumma se shaadi kar sakte hai?? She said again while he was just looking at her without blinking his eyes.
