IshRa - When Selflessness Hurts

I promised myself no more posts on YHM, but I couldn't stop myself today. We all agree that Raman and Ishita act like idiots always trusting the wrong people and making mistakes, but today I just feel like questioning why in the world do they do all this for? Whether it was way back in 2014 when Raman decided to protect Adi or when Ishita drove the bombed bus to save her family, why do these two idiots do this? I know they are the selfless leads who need to always be nice, but don't they deserve anything in return, maybe something like some love and respect for the people they do everything for?

Raman makes mistakes and causes problems like a normal human, but he is also the one who is willing to look bad in front of people whether it was the accident track, Shanaya track or even now when he admits to a crime that he didn't do. And he does all this for his family, he tried to save Adi and went against his family many times for him only to have him call him irresponsible, he does so much for his family and the Iyers only to have his father be ashamed to have him as his son and Amma to accuse him without a doubt. Whenever things go wrong, his impulsiveness is the only thing that everyone see, making everyone forget about everything he does for them

And now Ishita. What has she not done for both the Iyers and Bhallas? She lost her own child, that one that would have removed the tag of a baanj from her and everyone prayed for, only to save her entire family, she put her own life at risk numerous time for her kids, she went against her husband to get justice for her Amma when she believed that he could do such a thing, only to be told she was hated and had to prove her love by her own mother when she didn't do as she was told. She is repeatedly questioned and accused when things go wrong, and just like Raman people forget everything she ever does for them.

Hence this rant, why in the world do these two do so much for their families when no one trusts them, believes them, and turn against them whenever given the chance? It's annoying and disappointing to see that despite all the good that these two do, they are the ones who constantly have to prove how much they care for and love their families. Can these two just get a break, leave their homes, just the two of them, and maybe they start being valued? Can Raman and Ishita be loved the way they selflessly love others?

For Raman and Ishita - It's funny how you can do nice things for people all the time and they never notice. But once you make one mistake, it's never forgotten.

Golden words Prabh!
If this was 11pm YHM i may have had some answers for your rhetoric but this version of post leap YHM is beyond my comprehension - so I would rather say I dont think IshRa can and will be ever loved as much as the people they end up showering that love on (sadly this includes their kids too lately) .

Ishita at least gets gratitude and praise for her actions most times ( I dont think she gets unconditional love either for those actions ) , but Raman lately seems to be told her isnt 'deserving ' of any empathy even - love is a dream almost 🥱

I would also hope that if not anyone else , cvs at least end up showing that at least Ishita and Raman take time out from solving others problems and for once be a little selfish to show that love to each other - show each other that they deserve love too...(I mean post the Gulabo track I had kind of given up hope on that too, but these few episodes seem to be promising).

And do make more posts - its makes for interesting reading😛

Word Word Prabh 👏
I agree with ur each n every word
Both Raman n Ishita r idiots of highest degree of order,do mistakes n what not but they r a gem of person
Both families do not trust them enough I think
Whenever something goes wrong they r blamed, accused and what not without proper concrete proofs
They deserve love n respect from their family members because these two r the only one who would die in order to save n protect their family
Today Amma cursing wasn't only for Raman but for her own daughter n grand kids too
These words in anger were the reason both families suffered for 7 years
Ishra life got ruined
Amma is fighting for justice for Vandu which is absolutely right because Vandu deserves justice but I want to ask where was she when Raman threw venom on Ishita which caused her to suicide ?
Why didnt she or Appa went behind Ishita to stop her to take any extreme step when they knew in what state Ishita was ? Why did they left her alone ?
Why didn't they fought for justice for Ishita ?
And Pihu was there grand daughter right so they could have fought for visitation rights
They couldn't even respect their dead daughter Ishita for those 7 years when she was dead for the whole world

Thank PB! And I absolutely agree with what you've said. This YHM is sadly just a fraction of what it once was. Ishita and Raman were once respected and loved by everyone, but now it seemed like their constant humiliation and mistakes are what make the show run. I'm glad Ishita gets some bit of praise and respect for what she does, but that doesn't last when her own mother slaps her for defending her husband and is cursed by her own mother. Where is the Amma who thought Raman was like a son she never had and trusted him with blind eyes and was constantly hoping for Ishita to have a happy marriage?

And with Raman, I fail to understand what he had done to get this kind of cold behaviour from his family including his own children. Whether its the accusations, humiliation and lack of trust on him, I wonder if a real person in his place would still be able to live on with this and love his family? The less words said about how the man who pretty much feeds his family and support his in-laws when they had lost their home and need any sort of help, gets treated in return.

Now all I wish for since the sad Ishra fan in me took hope never dies a bit too seriously, is that Ishita and Raman take some time to be with each other, work on their relationship, and spend the much needed time together without worrying about their families who don't even seem to care about them and what they do for them.

Thank you Zoha! These two are just human, they make mistakes like everyone else but they have good intentions and a good heart. Whatever they do, they do for the betterment of their family, children and each other. But it seems like no one cares about their silent sacrifices since it takes one mistake from them or one small doubt about them for the family to turn against them and not take a second to think about what they had done.

Amma's character has now reached the butchery since she was the one who wanted Ishita and Raman to come close, she was the one who thought of Raman as a son and Ishita was the apple of her eyes. And now as much as I try to understand what Amma goes through with losing a child and her son-in-law being a suspect in killing her, she is completely unrelatable when she curses her daughter and grandchildren just because Ishita doesn't feel like her husband killed her sister. Does no one once try to understand what Ishita is going through when she just lost her sister and her husband is the one being accused as the cause of her death? But instead everyone just wants her to give a statement she doesn't believe in and if she doesn't, she isn't allowing her sister to get justice and is worthy of hate?! It's so disappointing especially from Amma since, like you said, she didn't have such a harsh reaction when Ishita was driven to take her life 7 years back.

correctly said
ishra don't deserve to be treated the way the are being treated now
recently no one seems to be agreeing to Raman specially about anything be it in the ruhail track it later
the only thing they talk about is his impulsiveness
why do they have to prove how much they love the families everytime??
Amma is being biased her
she wants justice for vandu acceptable but for that why does she have to curse and blame Raman without proper proof and the hate u to ishita was beyond any daughters tolerance
no child would want to hear something like that from their mother
i feel Raman is protecting someone among the iyers and that's why the whole family is going to regret their words specially Amma
hope ishu doesn't forgive her easily and if that happens then Raman will become the bridge between his in law's and ishu just my guess

Prabh as a mother myself whatever Amma is going through is so relatable to me as whatever she is going through now ,I have also gone through the same
I lost my child ,I know the feeling when u loose ur child
I know she wants justice for her late daughter but she wants that at the cost of her other daughter's life
Do u think Vandu would have wanted that ?
At one side we have Mr bhalla as a parent who says he doesn't want a son like Raman n he is free to go any where during gulabo's track n on other side Amma Appa cursing ishita for standing up with Raman
Isn't she their daughter so why r they questioning her loyalties for them ?
Do they think Ishita wouldn't want justice for her sister ?
Can't anyone see that ishita is going through a turmoil
If Amma Appa lost heir daughter ,Ishita lost her best friend ,her sister n for that same sister murder her husband, the father of her children is accused
She is going through a turmoil because she knows that Raman isn't a person to hit n run leaving the person to die on the road let alone Vandu
Amma truly disappointed me

@bold - but thats plain fact now - track after track is mostly humilation and more humilation - normally for Raman , and in occassional episodes for ishita.
Difference being Ishita gets an apology from her kids or family at least - Raman doesnt even get a POV most days ..its like track after track of humilation and all that people can see including CVs is that 'hey he deserves it for his behavior'

Your last line sums it all up - sadly all the good that has been done over 3 yrs is all weighed against his mistakes time and again..

and yes - no daughter deserves to hear what ishita was told in the precap and no wife should have had to hear what amma told Raman today - where in effect she cursed the man and also his family and said mayhe never see happiness in his own family life..i mean which mother would say this even without thinking once ...
i know they are in trauma - but like I ranted elsewhere - this also shows how less they know Raman and worse how less they know threir own daughter
@red - Any human being in his place considring the last 3 months of every individual repaying his care and love with pain and humiliation and not even bothering to say a tiny sorry for it - and till now there has been zero appreciation for any of his gestures (this includes 2 of his kids, his own father and his wife)...would have either had a meltdown or probably decided to end it all - like Raman told toshi in that tiny scene - that he is an absolute failure - nothing he ever does can ever turn right...sadly that scene ended with just that..🥱..real life may not be that kind

This last track made me wish no one ever has to live such a thankless life ever.🥱

Dont want to hope - but i would at least feel a little better if this track attempted to at least show some love back to the man 🥱
