Except for Ruhi confession their is nothing connecting Ruhi to the crime scene even if a criminal confess his crime the prosecutor has a liability to prove that indeed he was the criminal only then he can be convicted but here though with just her testimony which even clearly indicates that it was self-defense she gets jail. Yes she should have been tried in Julienne court.

I don't think so the track is heading for Ishita Vs Raman it looks like it now and the initial stages both might try to free Ruhi on their own but in the end they might free her together but their relationship has to survive without Ruhi for few days for them to move away from Sirf Ruhi ki lye tag so my guess after the initial uglier version they might start showing them together once again.
