I don't think Ishita is disappointing exactly - I think she's making a mistake despite her intentions and that makes her imperfect. Instead of trying to justify and portray her as perfect, it should be celebrated that she messed up like a real person, like Raman, and like every other character. They are disappointing in the sense of the horrible portrayal and treatment of a father's emotions & her overly passive behavior is out of character but taken in isolation - Ishita is flawed & messed up here and there is no other way about it

Krishy, for me Ishita was disappointing today. My disappointment with her today is for blaming Raman entirely and covering up the major blunder, that Ruhi did in confiding to a stranger and sharing a private video of hers. Ishita is not making a mistake here in my opinion. Yes, Ishita did do mistakes all these days. Her mistake was not being proactive enough, even after so many clues, hints and incidents and still holding on to her blind trust on Ruhi and considering that Raman did a mistake in understanding Ruhi. But today, she did not do a mistake, rather she carefully chose to blame Raman and his behavior, as the reason for Ruhi resorting to Suhail in this situation. May be she did so to shut Raman up temporarily and make him feel guilty, so that he does not behave harshly with Ruhi. But that was completely wrong in my opinion.
A 17-year old girl showing her private video to a guy is completely not acceptable in any case, how much ever Raman behaved unreasonably. That excuse is simply absurd and meaningless. This is not a random small stuff that can be hidden from the parents and shared with friends. If Raman was unreasonable, Ishita was always available. Even if Ishita chose not to question Ruhi because she is already terrified and she did not want to stress her out further, her blaming Raman and justifying Ruhi's actions was a complete let down and disappointing act for me.
It is the question of Ruhi's dignity and Ruhi's senseless and stupid act can never be justified or accepted by me with weird and silly blames.

U know what even after having 3 kids I still can't talk n taunt my father like this and no one can talk to their parents like this the way they have shown Ruhi behaving for a stranger

vo ishu 3 yrs pehle vali ishu ne ruhi ko guide kia har choti choti baat par usse smjhaya tnsn thi uski aaj kl to sab aram se chl raha hai uske lye...
ishu ne ruhi se itni baatein ki i m ur frnd tell me anything bs itna sa nhi kkeh payi ki just be in ur basic limits dont forget ur manners..
i m also going through the same stage i never talked to my father like this vo jo kehte krti hu guide krte unki baatein smjhkar usse sudharti hu khud ko aise behave nhi kia
vo bhi chk krte hai ki mein kya krti hu kis se baat krti hu and all meine kabhi unse ph nhi china jis tarah se ruhi ne kiya

Then ishita and mrs bhalla said kya kiya tune
In ishra room Raman said he was touching my daughter
Ishita said may be wo bas casually touch kar raha ho did u ask ruhi
Raman said how can i ask my 17 year old that what was happening in car on the road

Then in ruhi room Ishita asked ruhi about it ruhi said he was just removing my wig nothing else
Ishita said to raman dekha aapne u misunderstood thoda to trust karo Raman apni beti par i will handle my daughter
Raman said for a change main bhi to sahi ho sakta hu and he was touching her
But she didn't listen

Then raman went from there and ishita hugged ruhi and said don't worry hum papa ko samjhayenge

Yaha par ruhi ko wo mms mil chuka tha

What the heck was this ?
Any father would react like this if he see's a random person touching his daughter
I mean seriously a stranger was touching his daughter yet Ishita n all expected Raman not to react wow
And why the hell he was removing Ruhi's wig ? Who gave him such authority ?
Seriosuly no one takes Raman seriously
Raman does trust his daughter but can't Ishita see that Raman doesn't trust that namoona Sohail which is by the way right .
And what about the trust Ruhi has broken so many times ? Can't Ishita see that ?
Ruhi locking herself in the room is so like blackmailing her parents by throwing tatrums

I am not sure where this is going

Dt won't be back for another 10 days

I am sure she would not have shot such a big bank

Kp is also going to Germany apparently

And there was someone who was watching when sohail was trying to kiss and Ruhi slapped him

In this entire track dev in the last week have we seen Ishit a take responsibility of her actions or even have a self talk regarding her own behavior vis a vis her reactions to ruhis atrocious behanior and lies..nope..
Ok fine she is a flawed human today but at any point in the track will we see her 'accept' that...forget introspecting about it..

I think you know the answer to this yourself...
Even in a track like the bhooth track Ishita didn't accept that she blundered in many ways ...she instead referred to a 'good cause ' for her irrational behavbehaviour..

I was misled by the last few epis in hoping to see a real Raman and a real Ishita after long...but this woman is not that scared ..insecure ..worried..protective flawed mother...
Here u see a mother chooses to blindly trust her child when she shouldn't have...i mean suhail can and probably is dpinf a lot of damage to ruhi...choosing inaction ...and nope hope not because she is real and exhibits all those behaviors you mentioned..biut 'justifies' that behavior as ' needed ' as a balm for her husband's irrational behavior...😲

That's the limited soch of this shows ingenious writers

I was touching more on people's interpretation bc what the CVs show is not surprising but how people chose to interpret and justify actions says a lot - for people who believe women are portrayed poorly on TV - why continue to try to justify actions like the makers are doing and keeping the FL near Devi? Then it proves that viewers want a perfect FL and makers are serving just that. Rather by owning up when characters screw up, people make these characters more god-like, so why crib when the traits associated with god-like include self sacrificing?

I'd rather celebrate that no matter what the makers show through dialogs - Ishita screwed up royally here bc she isn't some perfect Devi...she is being pssive and too much of a peace-keeper to where her Daughter is taking advantage of her and she's contributed reduced her husband's value & respect in the home. And the proof that she's still wrong even if they try to show her as right is many people including my mother, who has raised kids through the teen years in a place where temptations are super high, disagrees with Ishita's choice of inaction.

The makers will never willingly show Ishita as wrong bc in TV no woman is wrong if their are the FL - in murder or false accusations but that doesn't make it right from a viewer's POV.
