"Good bye Mumma." Waved Ruhi cheerfully as she made her way outside the home with Raman, holding his fingers in her tiny ones.
"Bye Rooh." Ishita waved at her back smilingly standing near the door. Shifting her gaze from Ruhi to Raman whose eyes were already admiring her, she passed a serene smile at him and mumbled in a soft low voice, "Take care Raman." For once again, a bundle of several emotions ran down in her nerves and reflected in her tone altogether. His steps halted as he sensed anxiety in her tone. "Rooh, you go. Papa is coming." He let Ruhi go while he turned towards Ishita and noticed a very thin layer of tears making its appearance in her almond shaped beautiful eyes.
"Ish what is this yaar?" he asked scooping her cheeks with his palms, pulling her closer to him.
"Ramann..take care of yourself, please." She bursted her fear into a confession for him in a convulsive gasp. She couldn't ignore the insecurity rising in her mind for him. She just couldn't. The fear of losing him in any kind of mishap was terribly scaring her. Her eyes turned moist while tears sneaked out from them quickly.
Slowly erasing her teardrops, he embraced her gently in his arms while she closed her eyes receiving absolute peace through his warmth. She hid her face into his chest and her arms encircled his back. "I will take care of myself, don't worry." A reply came from him in complete secured tone, caressing her hair.
What am I doing? Presenting a worried, broken Ishita infront of him? I am his strength. I have to be strong for Him. I cannot lose my faith over our love. He's right. Nothing can drive us apart until we're together in each other's arms. Different shades of her thoughts walked into her mind.
"Okay you go. Ruhi is waiting for you." She adjured him as she pulled her out from his embrace, pretending to be alright infront of him.
He looked at her shockingly. A sudden confusion took over him. Is she really alright or just acting infront of me? He thought. He held her chin through his fingers and made her look at him. "Are you sure?" he asked being uncertain.
"Yeah Raman. Go, you're getting late." She uttered appealing him to go faking a polite smile as she made him sense time was passing by.
"Okay Ish but you don't worry, I will try to return soon this evening." He softly blew a kiss on her forehead and left while she just admired his retreating figure with building much needed trust in her heart.
She bolted the door and walked into the hall.
Settling down on the couch, she looked around the walls. The walls of her home which were captured by different photographs. Those photographs of her family which was a bliss for her. A smile appeared on her lips as she caught their attention. Roaming her eyes on those joy-filled snaps, her smile broadened and they greamed. They showed how blissful that family was! Their lone time spent together, Raman teasing his Ish, Ishita hitting on his chest playfully, Raman in his police uniform, their engagement day, they exchanging the garlands, Ishita entering into their home for the first time, Raman carrying his newborn Rooh in his arms, Ishita running after her two years old angel, Ruhi climbing over his shoulder, Ishita cooking their favourite food.
Those photographs hanged over the walls of their home spoke much about their relationship. The relationship formed with trust and building a foundation of a family which was comprised with unconditional love, trust and support for one another. They expressed IshRa were happy being together. Add to their undefinable love, Ruhi was there who increased their love manifolds.
Ishita couldn't help but replaying those priceless memories in her mind. Leaning more on the couch's headrest, she closed her eyes and drowned herself into the beautiful world which belonged to IshRa.
SIX YEARS AGO:
"What rubbish it is yaar..you know it Anaya it sounds so silly. I cannot do it." Her voice echoed in the coffe shop which sounded no more than a declaration filled with extreme shock. Everyone else present there turned their gaze from their hectic schedule to have a look at this crazy girl who caught their attention through her mischievous tone.
"Ishita..what are you doing?" Anaya pinched on her palm placed over the table rolling her eyes at her for her strange behavior due to which they were under everyone's gaze. Biting her lower lip, Ishita looked around and lowered her eyes in embarrassment. "Sorryy.." the apology sneaked out quickly from her mouth.
Soon, everyone got indulged in their work as they saw her getting back into normal mode by scrolling something in her mobile in pretext of hiding her embarrassed face from others. She's so cute. One of them mumbled under his breathe while admiring her cute antics since a long time, by sitting a little far from her table. He later on drowned himself in his work and coffee.
"Oh God..thank you." Ishita sighed noticing no one was looking at her weirdly and put the mobile in her hand on the table.
"Ishu..now enough. Do as we say. Don't forget you cannot back off. Otherwise, you know the consequences. We wouldn't mind a little in informing the Professor that it was you who had played the prank with him. Got that?" a blackmail went targeted on Ishita by her friends as she wasn't fulfilling her promise.
"No no..please don't do that. Okay I will do as you say." Ishita sounded like pleading infront of her friends. She had to be. After all, she had lost the challenge she did among her friends and she was left with no option but to oblige her buddies.
"Okayy..so go and propose that boy who is having his coffee while working on his tab on his table. See..he's that..tall.. the fair one." Alia, her friend commanded signaling towards the same boy whose face had beamed a smile observing Ishita's cute antics and expressions a while ago.
"But how can I do that Alia..I don't know him, moreover how would he react..just imagine guys!" uttered Ishita with her wide eyes pointing at that boy.
"Ishu..GO." they threw a stern look at her which she couldn't ignore but to get up from her seat and walking towards his table with slow steps.
"God..just save me today. I don't know how is he going to react. Just save me from being embarrassed anymore."
She blew a wish to God and drew a smile over her lips as soon as she reached to him. Standing infront of him, she turned her gaze back at her friends who were trying their best to suppress their laughter while she was cursing them under her breathe.
Having a feeling of someone standing infront him, the guy shifted his gaze from his tablet's screen and raised his head to look on. "You?" a question out of amusement sneaked out from his mouth abruptly on staring at her with narrowed eyes.
As soon as his voice hit into her ears, she looked at him making an innocent face. "Yeah..hh..he..hello." she stammered over her words as nervousness took over her. "May I take a seat over here?" she asked composing herself for a seat with him.
As he was already influenced by her, it didn't time for him to nod in positive. "Sure." A curve came over his lips as he put his tablet aside on the table and looked at her. For a second, he was just lost in her. Her round shaped eyes, pointed long nose, curvy lips, pink cheeks and her long silky straight hair tied in a bun while a strand of her hair was blocking his view to admire her natural beauty. He so wanted to tuck that behind her ear so that he could get a clear view of an angelic beauty but he could not. He did not have any right over her till now. He just preferred adoring her face which was glowing even more by her sweet smile.
"Hey..this is me..Ishita." she initiated the conversation nervously while her fist clutched her denims in its grip.
She has beautiful voice too. He mentally admired her voice as it sounded like a melodious tune for him. "Raman." An answer came from him with decorum.
Trying hard to collect words to speak up to him for her main motive, she glanced at her friends who were waiting for her to propose him. It looked absolutely silly. But she had to.
She took a deep breathe and said closing her eyes, "I love you Raman." She waited for his response but she couldn't face him the next moment. Whatever she had blurted out wasn't something normal according to her. She couldn't fall in love just with his one word conversation and mere looks. She believed.
Meanwhile, Raman was taken aback with her sudden confession. He drew his eyes big in sheer astonishment and continued looking at her. He couldn't trust over himself that what his ears made him aware was really happening with him. "Whattt.." he uttered shockingly.
Opening her eyelids, she caught his reaction. On witnessing him dumbstruck, even she couldn't help but giggling like her pals but as per the situation, she couldn't except controlling herself from revealing her giggle. She could only manage to say, "I know you are literally shocked but try to understand my situation too. Me and my friends had challenged over something and I lost it so I would have to follow what they would ask me to. And they asked me to propose you so I did. Please don't mind and I am really sorry for that. I am Sorry Raman." She muttered in a low tone so that there won't be any serious issue.
"WHAT?" for once again, he was left amused by her.
"Yeah and I am sorry again Raman. Hope you didn't mind." She apologized innocently rolling her eyes at him.
Regaining his composure, Raman chuckled at her and shook his head in positive to let her know that he didn't mind but was shocked by her action.
"Thank you so much." She atlast laughed whole-heartedly thanking him.
"That's alright, Ishita." He blinked his eyes at her in assurance.
"So..we..umm..FRIENDS?" she hesitantly forwaded her hand for seeking his friendship on recalling the moment happened a while ago. She looked deep into his eyes in order to see the curiosity he had to befriend with her.
A smile appeared over his lips in slight surprise as he saw her proposing him for friendship. She's crazy too. A girl who proposed her love, no matter true or not, just few seconds ago is now proposing me for friendship. He thought. Surprisingly, he nodded and shook his hand with hers while on the other hand, Ishita's friends were so lost in witnessing their blooming friendship.
Ishita's face beamed a huge smile while collecting such a beautiful experience for the journey of her love. I love you Raman. I never knew I would find my love like this. Chuckling over the recall of her memory, her eyes travelled over the photo frame kept on the nearby table. He was looking so happy with her. She picked it up in her palms and placed it near her heart, feeling absolute relaxed and relieved. Stay with me like this, Raman.
