Sorry to butt in but choosing ISHITA is not atall depends on shagun's shade.
Since ISHITA married in the bhalla family everyone accepted her some one instantly and someone gradually. They don't worried about shagun character at that time for accepting ISHITA.
If u say shagun made negative so everyone can accept ISHITA but I wonder then how come ISHITA was missed like hell and instantly accepted by everyone (excluding RAMAN for his own reason, ruhi who had her mu and pihu who don't know about her at all) when shagun was extrawhite when she came from Australia.
Nobody wait for shagun evilness to come out to accept ISHITA, except one that is pihu.
But pihu also was made out of character just for shagun in case u didn't notice
I will mention pihu liked ISHITA in her 1st meeting herself and the hug was so magical that she shared with her papa even.
Next when pihu saw ISHITA solving problems in romika marriage, she was attached to ISHITA and her eyes followed her which was catch by her papa.
She was no problem with ISHITA when ruhi case was going on
She didn't had any problem if her papa spend time with ISHITA which her (shagun ) mumma asked to instigate her
She called her Ishima and had a good time with her in the kitchen.
So till then shagun was positive I think then I wonder why pihu is kinda attracted towards ISHITA when shagun was not made negative till then of course openly.
So isn't is opposite what u r mentioning
ISHITA was accepted by pihu though not in mother form but as a good person at least , it's shagun who instigate pihu and filled her mind with haterd , at such a age this much manipulation do u feel is good.
And shagun turning negative in open is necessary so the child can come out from the mind imprisonment,and can live happily.
Adi was such a lucky guy he had his views clear that ISHITA is his papa wife but pihu dont low the past and keep pillng up the hatred towards ISHITA which only a sudden revelation could break as this time I don't think a slow progression will be shown as in adi time , though adi accepted ishima in words after earthquake but his heart already melted towards the selfless love of a mother which ISHITA has.
So for pihu a negative shgaun revelation is important but for pihu only.
