Krishy but in yhm unlike the other soaps. .the main draw has always been ishita raman ruhi centric tracks and those have always been high trp tracks...sauten saga 1..child swap and bhooth track crime drama was the lowest trp wise in terms of averages..
Yhm never had a trp audience that wanted to watch sautens and saas...they don't have a strong vamp even come to think of it...trp aunties may not like lollipops but they like drama involving ishra and the kids...that's my reading of trps too..
Yhm had a viewership closest to kkb till tjhe ruhi 30 day saga was on. .the moment gears shifted to n shagun vs ishita the viewership has declined big time last week..the gap between kkb and yhm widened...
Heck post leap there was enthusiasm about ishra reunion and ishru reuniom..that's why they were no 1 right? ..not because of raman shagun or ishita shagun😛
Exactly Pb. This is what I wanted to write as a reply for Krishy. Thanks for putting it down more precisely.😊
I also have a feeling that YHM audiences are a bit mature when compared to other shows. Post leap, the audiences were more interested to see how IshRa rescue & heal Ruhi, , how they confront each other and resolve their differences, how they reveal the truth to Pihu and make her understand this whole thing.
The only differences I could see among these audiences is their view with respect to shagun. While some of them were able to accept the snow white avtar of shagun & her bond with Pihu and feel for her during Ishita's return, some of them were very smart to find out that Shagun will again become negative, selfish and there is nothing new in her changing shades. They wanted to know how IshRaRuHu manages to survive the turbulence caused by her together as a family. This OTT drama is only pissing them off.
They tend to have the same POV as most of us do. Even I was pleasantly surprised when my mom, aunt, my friends's moms had the same expectations from the show. Some of them even come from a conservative background, but were not really interested in sautan saga, surrogacy and bhooth tracks, but they demand sensible tracks where a family, importantly a couple sits together and solve their issues. This ex-wife roaming around them all through their life is itself something they could not digest. So yes, as you say, the trend might be minimal or of very low impact, but we can just hope that it changes & changes for the betterment of the society.
