What's the purpose of a pre-Cap/Promo?

Isn't it to attract or intrigue viewers so that they are interested in /looking forward to the next episode?

Does today's pre-cap fall in either of those categories. I read the WU after reading few comments here.

So the male protagonist is not going to find out about who is behind the kidnapping of the female protagonist...but it's going to be ACP in his new avatar..trying to solve another Bhalla family issue...Kostin is his track record is pretty bad...so why him and not the guy who had a rather smart, intuitive brain to begin with, RKB?

ACP err whatever his designation is...Ishita collaboration has never been successful or TRP pleasing but like Shagun, his character will get multiple chances of avatar, ACP, Drunkard, to whatever now...and he also goes through wardrobe changes to 'fit' his current 'shade' 😉😆

So good luck to another shade of Abhishek...

I hope the TRP devi turns around and pushes YHM to the top.🥳

Acp was useless and he will remain useless .He never Solved any case and I hope so he is not going to break his track record .
I too hope the same but cvs are pathetic.they totally forgot that raman is the male lead

Bang on gan..
First of all i dont understand y they want a permanent police inspector in a family show..?? The usual crimes can b handled by random police character..plus he is not related to anyone n anything in the show anymore...the sude to side character introduced only for a track ..after more than one yr he is still here without any use..
As always they wont let Raman do anything..
He is jst an eyecandy..
Ishita herself escaped from kidnappers ..no use of ML
Pihu issue..ruhi will handle..no use of ML
He ws searching for kidnapper n asked ishita to stay at home bt now this job hs been given to useless inspector with ishita roaming around..

Oh you have opened the thread after so long and that to on a side character...i think more than creatives of the show we audiences give more importance to him..we shld see him as one of the characters supporting the storyline to move it forward..he was never given a proper track by cvs in the past..bechareka mihika ke saath bhi taka nahi bhidaya cvs ne if that would have happened none of us would have questioned his existance in YHM..as mihika is very much central to the storyline since begining and not just the side character...so just treat him as side charcter only..the makers have never tried to make him the central character in the past neither will they do in future..but they need multiple tracks to move the story forward and he will just play his part how big or small i cant say..may be we may see simmi and him paired with each other but for now he is just one of the characters and lets just treat him like one..and then we always have an ff button..

On a side note isnt yhm's very premise lies on second chances in life?? Though shagun has got many more but y not others then??? 😉

Gan, all I can say is we foolish 'ishra' and yhm fans are not the intended audience for this promo/precap...that's why we find it absurd from a story or 'what should we look forward to in tomorrow's epi' pov. 😛..we just 'won't understand' - as we have been rightly told.

Heck my ML who is a pure trp viewer too was like ab yeh kahaan se aaya when she v saw the precap. .and honestly that wasn't a compliment. 😆

.raman off on biz, shagun mani, adi aliya ishita mihit, ruhi -pihu..so many aspects were opened up in today's epi and yet the precap has nothing regarding that but the re entry of a ' almost equal to male lead side character' with focus only on him..not even the female lead...i guess this scene is purely for those who want to spam social media tomorrow. .

All I can say is good luck to them and to the creative minds who thought that this character deserved this importance - story, relevance, what's that🥱🤢

Already we have seen 50shades of shagun, don't know how many are remaining and now we are gonna witness 50shades of Abhishek.

Someone said to see him as a mere side character, But what is the use of him in the show? How is he related to Raman or Ishita ? Neither his character sketch nor the actor are impressive. why we(viewers) should waste time in seeing mere side characters on-screen ?

"Supporting the story line to move it forward"! Did you read what you wrote? One who has no connection with the story line whatsoever gets the privilege of taking the story line forward!! And on top of that "he's never given a proper track by CVs in the past"!! 😆
A family show became a C grade crime show only for him, if he wouldn't have got temporarily busied himself in another show, it would have continued araam se and in future this show will be transformed into a C grade crime show only for him. A temporary side character 2nd lead ke dupatta se lead actress ki pallu mein bandhe rehte hai har waqt aur bolte hai ke importance nahi mile...tracks nahi mile...!

He was never meant for Mihika, his original contract was for a cameo role lasting 1-2 months. Later CVs wanted him as a third wheel for Mihika-Mihir and they even started the track (remember?!😆) but aborted the track due to off-screen issue. He and the lead actress got involved with each other at that time, and as per their requests, they were given scenes together only which is continuing till now. As all say, he's the personal ACP of Bhallas; he's actually personal ACP of Ishita to be precise.

It's sad that the main supporting cast like Mihir, Romi, Mihika and all are just used around praising/supporting the main lead - SHAGUN these days 😡 while all the mysteries and problems are now left for the one and only ACP to solve 🤢
I really want to know what, how and why his character is important to the storyline or how it's even helping it?? Why are the makers hell bent on saying or showing that he is as important as Raman 😡 😡
But what's even more sad is that ppl enjoy this offscreen thing onscreen and so we may get loads of these two more than ISHRA now 😭
Cvs have forgotten what happened to Subbu 😆 but sadly "fans" won't let anything effect this relationship and may be very happy if they show them together 😡

I have opened a couple in last couple of weeks as these extra importance to characters that are not really relevant to the story irks me...as I have always done with Shagun's character.

More than the screen space my objection is related to the fact that it's a track that should have been the Male lead's in my opinion as a viewer ...but now it looks like(based on the pre-cap) another clandestine two team formation to solve a problem(Remember Bhoot track? ) , which ideally should involve Raman too...but only Ishita was called to meet him.

That irked the viewer in me as much as it always has when Shagun gets unnecessary footage to 'move the story forward' over talented villains/actors like Sangram et al.

To tell you the truth I have no interest in his character evolvement so long as it doesn't encroach into IshRa zone...and this has all the same feeling as bhoot track and we all know how that went.

I am no CV, just a viewer whose only loyalty is to Ishra ...neither do I layout/predict tracks...and if feel after watching/reading something is amiss I am vocal enough to open a thread.

Thank you for reminding me gently about the FF button...

and YHM's premise is of second chances..true...but most of us are more interested in IshRa's story...but if you want to enjoy Hawaldar's story of his second chance, please do👍🏼.

To each his own..

I have always complained about Shagun's unnecessary shades...and now another shady character is getting the same reaction from me.
