Yeh Hai Mohabbatein: Accused of Raina Singh's murder, Raman will go to jail!

Bhalla family is having a great time now as the elder daughter of the house, Simmi (Shireen Mirza), is getting engaged to Subbu (Amit Tandon).Soon things will get jittery as Shagun (Anita Hassanandani) will try to kidnap Ishita (Divyanka Tripathi) and Raman's (Karan Patel) kids and end up endangering kids' lives. However, Ishita being the selfless mother will save her children in time and Aditya (Gautam Ahuja) will get more attached to Ishita after this incident. But a real disaster will hit the Bhallas as Raman will be accused of Raina Singh's murder. Raina Singh's brother ACP Abhishek Singh (Vivek Dahiya) will file a murder case against Raman in the court stating that he forced Raina to go for an extra-marital affair and later murdered her to keep things hidden.

Interestingly ACP Abhishek isn't a bad guy, he wants justice for his sister and he's got solid evidence behind Raman's involvement. Remember Subbu's revenge plan against Bhallas? Subbu will play a double game with the help of Sujata (Anju Mahendru) to avenge his wife and child's death. He will secretly provide the evidence of Raman's involvement to the ACP and at the same time will gain Bhallas' sympathy by siding with them despite being Abhishek's friend. Simmi and Subbu's marriage will be postponed as Bhallas will be left shattered, specially Ishita. Ishita will try all means to get her husband Raman out of the jail but will be failed eventually. Later she will appoint the NGO worker Sujata as Raman's defense lawyer and thus will get trapped in Sujata-Subbu's evil plan. Subbu's brother Bala (Pankaj Bhatia) knows the truth and will be a key witness in this case but he will be seen silent for some reason.
