PART THREE
Ishita straightened her way to the kitchen and thought something standing near the gas stove, "What should I cook to please my dear husband? I have prepared the breakfast with so much love for him but he didn't even mouth a single word of praise for me. Too bad. I think I should make something even more delicious for his lunch today." She was lost in her thoughts when Neelu entered in the kitchen and asked to her, "Bhabhi, do you want anything?"
Ishita said making a cute pout on her face- Huh, your Bhabhi needs your help Neelu.
Neelu- Yeah sure, I will help you Bhabhi. Tell me, what do you want to have in lunch? I will cook quickly.
Ishita smiled at her and replied- I want you to take rest today as your Bhabhi is going to be the planner of today's lunch.
Neelu- But Bh..
Ishita stopped her to speak saying, "Sshh..Neelu, you go outside. Don't disturb me.
Neelu nodded and walked away from there leaving Ishita alone.
Ishita tucked the strand of her hair behind the ears and twisted the pallu of her saree around her waist like a typical wife. She thought what to prepare for him according to his taste and others of the house and turn on the gas when her mobile rang. She looked at the screen, it was her Amma's call.
She picked it up and spoke while cutting the vegetables, "Hey Amma..how are you?"
Amma- I am so good kanna. You tell about your new life. How is it going? You are happy na bachcha? How are your in laws? Are you liking your new home?
Ishita literally smiled at Amma who was asking the questions continuously. She finally mouthed when she was finished speaking.
Ishita- Amma, you relax please. I am happy here, not happy but happiest. Everybody is so good here and especially Mummy jee, I thought she would be a tough nut to crack but she is very sweet Amma just like you. All are very kind over here.
She said dreamingly.
Amma (happily)- I am glad to hear that from you Ishu. So when are you two coming over here kanna? We are waiting.
Ishita recalled the happening of the morning and replied pretending to be busy- Amma, Raman had an urgent meeting so he went to his office. Whenever he would be back, I would ask about it.
Amma (sadly)- What? Raman kanna went leaving you?
Ishita- No no..Amma, nothing like that. Actually, he had promised me that he will come back soon.
She lied to her mother for the first time closing her eyelids. A single tear rolled down from her eyes when she realized Raman had not made any kind of promise to her for coming back soon.
Amma- Ishu..talk to your Appa.
Saying so, Amma handoverred the call to Mr.Iyer and they talked for few minutes and disconnected the call after having a good talk together.

Soon, Ishita was done with her cooking. While she was packing the lunch box for Raman, Toshi jee came in the kitchen seeing Ishita was smilingly doing the duty of a DIL. She came near her and asked caressing her long hair, "Puttar..Raman ke liye lunch taiyaar kar rahi hai?"
Ishita- Jee Mummy jee. I am almost done.
Toshi jee implanting a kiss on her forehead- I am so lucky to have you as my DIL, puttar jee.
Ishita- Mummy jee, I am your daughter na and moreover it's my duty. So you don't need to feel lucky.
She said with pure feelings in her voice.
Toshi jee- Theek hai puttar..jaisa tu bol. Ab tu jaa, aur ready hokar chetthi-chetthi usse lunch de aa. Woh khush hoga tujhe dekhkar.
Ishita nodded in yes and walked to her room happily. She changed into a ciffon red saree with cream border, she wore her mangalsutra and worn out all the heavy jewelleries. She did a nice touchup, put sindoor over her partition and applied a red color lipstick over her rosy lips and a small bindi according to the matching with red bangles in her hands. She admired herself infront of the mirror as she was looking divine in perfect red attire. She got up, went down for taking the lunch box and spoke the driver to drive towards Raman's office while Toshi jee and Simmi were contented seeing how caring wife Raman has got!
Toshi jee to Simmi- Dekh Simmi..Ishita kina pyaar karti hai Raman nu.
Simmi- Haan Mumma..Bhabhi bahut caring hai.
Toshi jee replied- Bas bhagwan kare Raman nu bhi ehsaas ho jaaye ki uska sachcha pyaar Ishita hai..woh Shagun nahi!
She said making a disgust face taking Shagun's name.

Minutes later, Ishita was in Raman's office. After giving her introduction to the receptionist as Mrs Raman Bhalla, she took further steps to Raman's cabin and knocked on its door.
A voice came from inside, Ishita recognized it and entered smilingly. Her smily face turned into a serious one seeing the scenario taking place infront of her eyes.
She saw Mihir was trying to aid Raman but he wasn't ready for it so.
Mihir spoke to Ishita as he saw her standing at the entrance- Bhabhi, come and please aid Raman bhai. See na, his head had got injured and he's not even ready for the first aid.
He said in a complaining voice while Raman was glaring at him making a puppy face like it wasn't his fault of being careless to his soul.
Ishita walked to them, put the lunch box over the table and said to Mihir- But how did this happen, Mihir?
Mihir- Bha..
He stopped in mid as he sensed someone was throwing a deadly glare at him. He continued stammering, "Bh..Bhabhi, I am going from here. You first look after him and ask the same to him only. Otherwise I am gonna get killed by someone.
Saying so, he left from there giving IshRa much needed privacy.
Ishita sat near Raman on the chair and asked authoratively but with loads of concern in her voice, "What is this Raman?"
Raman replied lowering his eyes as he felt he had been caught doing mischief- Actually..while I was coming into, I got banged with the glasses of our office.
Ishita made a sad face and spoke while applying ointment over his injury- Raman, you should be careful na. You are not a small baby that someone would be there 24/7 to look after you. It's a bad habit Raman. You are such a successful person and ruling the almost whole industry alone but your behavior is still like a kiddo.
She said angrily while Raman was glancing at her with a slight smile over his face. He smiled at her scolding antic but she was busy in bandaging him oblivious of the fact that someone was ogling at her like a lover! Soon, she was done with the aid and raised her head to see Raman was busy in admiring her. She blushed catching him and quickly downcasted her eyes in embarrassment.
Ishita- Raman, it's over.
Raman's woolgathering broke down by her sweet voice. He regained his composure and spoke- A...th..thanks.
Ishita glancing him- No thanks needed. I have come here to have you your meal.
She said pointing towards the lunch she brought with her.
Raman- But it was not needed, Ishita. I could have ordered something from the restaurant.
Ishita- Biwi hote hue bhi baahar ka khaana khaayenge aap?
Raman remailed numb listening her remark. He nodded in no looking at the floor when she said opening the lunch box- Now, have your lunch Raman. You had not taken your breakfast sufficiently too.
Raman pretending to be busy in his laptop- No sorry but I am busy right now.
Ishita smiled at his excuse and forwaded a morsel by her hands to him- To mere haath se khaalo na. Main apne husband ka pet bharne ke liye hamesha free hoon.
Now Raman could not resist himself anymore. He didn't have anything to deny her as her soothing words were making him restless and the aroma of the food making him more hungry. He simply nodded and took the bite and started munching it looking at the screen of his laptop where Ishita's image was being reflected.
Ishita was happy with it. She fed him lovingly looking at him continuously while he was busy in admiring her looking at her indirectly.
Soon, they were done with feeding and eating. Ishita packed her belongings and got up from her place when he spoke in a low voice- Ishita.
Ishita turned to him and asked- Haan bolo.
Raman- Khaana achcha tha.
Ishita blushed at his compliment. Finally he spoke it for what she had been craving to hear from the morning. She replied grinning, "Take care of yourself, Raman."
Raman looked deep into her eyes and beamed a slight smile as if assuring her through his eyes.
Ishita returned her sweet smile to him and was going when something popped in her mind and she stopped. She turned back and saw he was looking at her retreating figure only.
Ishita- Ek baat bolu?
Raman- Hmm.
Ishita- Actually, Amma-Appa wanted us to visit them. If you're free, can we?
Raman thought something in his mind and replied- I will try to come early in evening so that we can go together.
Ishita curved a smile filled with sheer happiness and walked away from there when Raman got the call. Seeing the caller ID, his smile took shape over an angry face and he disconnected the call throwing it over the floor making him forgetting all the sweet moment he had enjoyed a while ago.
