Chapter 3
"Ishita aunty...!!" Ruhi excitedly ran inside Ishita's apartment.
"Arey Rooh..!" She bend on her knees to come on Ruhi's height. "Someone is so happy today."
"Ishita aunty.. You know, papa didn't go anywhere. He kept his promise."
"You are happy na?" Ishita asked caressing Ruhi's cheek.
"Yes..!" Ishita smiled an kissed on Ruhi's forehead.
"Did you take your medicine?" She asked sarcastically. But Ruhi bit her tongue. "Rooh.. Yesterday only you had a attack. Why don't you listen to me chotu?"
"Sorry aunty. I will take it now."
"Go and have it first, then only I will talk with you." She said annoyed when Ruhi was going to leave just then they heard some chaos. Ruhi recognized the voice, she turned at the window and ran there, she peeped through the window and said, "Papa? Ishita aunty see.. Papa is kicking on your car wheel."
"What?" Ishita looked at her confuse and walked to the window side, she saw Raman was shouting, standing near to her car. "Aiyo..!" She left from there.

Ishita came at the parking area and saw Raman furious. "What? Why are you shouting? It's not your home.. Yaha sarif log rehte hai.. So please don't shout."
"Yeh dekho.. Kon aya sarifo ka lecture dene.. Zara iss sarif insan ko koi batao sarafat kya hoti hai..!" Raman taunted her.
"What do you mean? Say it clearly."
"Oh hello.. Look at your chota khatara.. You have parked it in the middle of the road." Raman pointed at her car.
"Hey don't call my car khatara.. Okay?" She said showing her finger.
"Oh hello..! First you move your car from my way else I won't take another second to puncture another tier." He said smirking when Ishita shockingly looked at her car.
"You rascal.." She said disgusted, "How dare you? And by the way, if you knew it was my car then why didn't you call me before? I would have park it aside. You know I came home late last night."
"I don't care and mujhe kya sapna ayega ki tum is tarah se car park karogi.. Anyways I am getting late, so will you?"
"You are so disgusting." Saying this Ishita parked her car other side and left from there giving him deadly glare.
She climbed the stairs murmuring, "What he think of himself.. Last night when he said thank you to me, I thought he would change.. But no..! He doesn't change. Ravan Kumar.. Huh..!" Ishita reached her home and about to get in when Ruhi called her, "Ishita aunty?"
She turned and saw Ruhi was standing at their door, Ishita walked to her. "Did you have your medicine?"
"Yes. But why papa was shouting?"
"Papa? You know what Ruhi, aapke papa na pure pagal hai.. He doesn't know any manners.. I was trying to explain him but he was only shouting and shouting."
"Papa?" Ruhi called when Ishita looked back and saw him standing.
"Ruhi, beta go inside.. I want to talk with your Ishita aunty." Raman sweetly said to Ruhi when she ran in. Ishita rolled her eyes and about to leave avoiding him when Raman rudely said, "Are you misleading my daughter?"
"Excuse me?"
"What you were saying to her? That her father is bad." Raman fumed.
"I didn't say this. Aur duniya ka kya hai.. Duniya toh kuch nhi kahenge but it's depend on you that how will you keep your image in front of your daughter." Saying this she was going to leave when Raman caught her hand and pinned her to the wall, "Listen Ishita.. I can tolerate anything but if anyone mislead by daughter, I won't spare the person. Doctor ho.. Doctor banke raho, koi aur rishta banane ki kosish mat karo."
Ishita fumed and slightly pushed him saying, "Kisiko achanak apne beti pe bohot pyar aaraha hai.. Kaha tha woh pyar jab aapki beti aapke pyar ke liye tarqsti thi..!! Aur waise bhi mera aur Ruhi ka Jo rishta ban chuka hai woh aapke samajh se bohot upar hai.." Saying this she walked inside her home and closed the door on his face.
"What's her problem..! Jab dekho lecture pe lecture deti rehti hai..!" Raman murmured making face and left from there.

In the evening, Ishita was checking some medical reports of her patients when Mr Iyer walked in her room and took sit beside her, "Ishu? Busy?"
"Appa you? No.. Please say.." Ishita closed the files and kept beside.
"Ishu.. I and your amma is thinking..." But before Mr Iyer say further, she interrupted, "I know what you are going to say but appa now..."
"Ishu, someday or the other day you have to marry kanna.. And today we got a proposal.. The family is so nice.. They even have no objection about your works."
"Okay appa, now if you and amma wants so then I will go for it." She said smiling.
"Okay.. They are coming to see you tomorrow." He informed and took leave from there.

At Bhalla house, Raman was helping Ruhi in maths when Raman suddenly recalled his past days with Shagun and got upset. He excused and walked in the balcony, Toshiji saw his changing mood, she followed him. "Raman?"
"Maa you..!" Raman wiped his tears and brought a smile on his face.
"Raman, I am your mother.. If you try, you can't hide your emotions. Puttar, tu chah kar bhi unhe wapas nehi la payega jo tujhse durr ja chuka hai. But you have to move on."
"Maa..!"
"Raman look at Ruhi.. She needs a mother. I know you are here for her, we all are here but our Ruhi crave for mother's love. And you..! Hum toh buddha ho gaye ab kitne din jeyenge pata nahi. Tujhe bhi to koi chahiye jo tujhe pyar kare, tere liye intezer kare." Toshiji said with moist eyes.
"Maa.. I am happy in my life. I don't want anyone and honestly I lost believe in love. Now let it be. I have my daughter and she is enough for me to live." Raman replied looking at Ruhi, "You don't worry about me. I am fine." Saying this Raman left and joined Ruhi.
"How can I stop worrying about you..! You are my son.. No, Raman.. This time I won't listen to you. I will find a girl for you who can love you like a wife and can love Ruhi like a mother." Toshiji thought.

Next day, in the morning, Ishita was anxiously waited for senior cardiologist's reply. "Doctor..?" She called him nervous.
"Dr. Ishita.. Ruhi's heart is not in good state. I think we should operate him."
"But doctor she is only five years, don't you think it will be risky.. And it will be a open heart surgery." She said thoughtful.
"I know it's risky but we have no option."
"No doctor.. We have option.. Ruhi needs more care, medicines can heal her I know. I have seen her whenever she was in stress or she got panic, she had attack.. I will talk with her family, they loves her so much.. I know they will understand. And I am living opposite to her apartment, I will personally look after her." Ishita assured.
"Dr Ishita.. I am watching you treating Ruhi from last one year and still I didn't get what relation you both shared." The doctor said.
"She is a part of my life doctor.. And I don't want to loose her at any cost." She replied with a smile.
"I hope your treatment show it's magic and Ruhi gets well soon.. She is an adorable child." The doctor wished when Ishita recalled Ruhi and smiled.

Ishita walked in her cabin and relaxed on her chair when suddenly she remembered she need to talk with Ruhi's family. "Ravan Kumar..!" She made faces, and took a deep breath, "Eeshita.. You have to do it for Ruhi.." And she called his number. After few rings, Raman received the call and said irately, "If you call me to give me your lecture then let me tell you I am busy."
"No, it's about Ruhi." She said rolling her eyes.
"Ruhi? What happened to her? Is she okay?" He got worried.
"Yeah.. Just need to discuss something.. Can you visit me now?" She asked.
"Okay. I am coming."
As soon as Ishita hang up the call, she got call from her mother. "Yes amma?" She answered.
"Ishu.. You remember na today one family is coming to see you..!" Ishita bite her lips, "Aiyo..!" She paused and pretend to remembered, "Yeah amma.. I need to check one patient then I will leave.. Don't worry I will be there on time."
After few minute, Raman entered in her cabin and Ishita discussed Ruhi's condition and asked him to take care of her and thankfully during this conversion they didn't argue on anything.
Once Raman walked out from her cabin, she also took leave. Ishita walked out from her hospital and saw Raman standing there. They didn't give a damn to each other, when Ishita passed by him. Raman murmured, "Look aise deti hai jaise khachha chaba jayegi."
Ishita gets into her car and started the engine but unfortunately it didn't start. Raman looked at her for few good seconds and Ishita tried to start her car but it didn't start when Raman laughed but Ishita decided to avoid. Ishita walked out from her car when Raman teased, "That's why I called your car khatara.."
Ishita rolled her eyes and about to leave when Raman said, "Come I will drop you. I am also going home."
"Tumhare saath jana aur maut ko gale lagana ek hi baat hai." She said and looked for cab.
"Yes.. Even I don't have any interest to go with you. Woh tum mere beti ki ilaaj karti ho toh insaniyat ke khatir keh raha hoon. Waise bhi you didn't get any cab from last 15 minutes. So, keep your attitude aside and come." Ishita looked at him and unwittingly gets inside his car.
They were on their way to home, when Ishita was getting bored so she slide down the glass. Raman yelled, "Arey o madrasan.. What are you doing? Ac is on..!"
"Then turn it off.. I want to inhale this cold breeze and you know it good for health."
"Teri doctorgiri tu side mein rakh and slide up the glass.." Ishita sulked and slide up the car when she heard Raman murmuring, "Pata nahi kis ghari mein meine isko gari mein bithaya."
"Yeah.. Yeah.. I didn't ask you to help me.. So stop murmuring."
"I am not murmuring. I am telling you on your face that I did a blunder. Tujhe tere uss khatara ke sath wohi choddh ke aana chahiye tha..!"
"You..! Tum.. Tumhari gari khatara hai.."
"Really? Have you ever seen my damaged car?" He asked sarcastically.
"I wish it get damage right here." As she said, the car lost the control but somehow Raman managed to take a control and finally the car stopped. Raman angrily glared at Ishita, "Do you know black magic?"
"Go and check..!"
Raman rolled his eyes and gets down from car, he saw the punctured tiers when Ishita peeped her head out from window. "What happened?"
"Tere dua ka asar.. Aa khud dekh apne kali nazar ki kali kartoot ko..!" He taunted when Ishita sighed, "Sidhe muh jawab dena nahi aata." Saying this she was about to gets down when Raman saw few goons surround him.
He shouted, "Ishita stop.. Stay in.." Seeing the goons Ishita also got worried, she was about to gets out to save Raman when he shouted again, " I said stay in and slide up the glasses." Horrifies Ishita did which Raman said and they looked on worried.
