The only thing good about the leap

Hi all. I've been watching YHM for a while now and I've been reading silently on IF. I felt like I should comment on how the show is progressing. So, here it is.
The leap, in my opinion, has been an absolute disaster of an otherwise wonderful story. YHM was a very progressive show from its onset, and that's what attracted such a large viewership. But, now after the leap, it has become a total joke. I mean how can Pihu look exactly like Ruhi? As elated as Ishita is, she should be questioning Raman. Did he cheat on her with Shagun? It's not even like they look similar or have similar facial features. It's the exact same!! Why did Ishita not marry Mani? I mean besides the obvious that she loves Raman. But, I feel like Ishita is a type of character who was very good at adapting to various situations that Life throws at her. So, while in Australia and to care for Aliya, she would have married, as would have any other practical person. On a similar note, why did Raman not marry Shagun? Sure, he could not forget Ishita. But, I feel as if RKB has been a character who would've given up his entire existence for his kids. So, for the sake of giving a happy family life to Adi/Pihu, Raman would've also done it. On the other hand, there is no way that Ishita did not keep in touch with her family for seven years. These kinds of tracks were fine a few years ago when social media wasn't a big thing. But now, with everybody tagging everybody else, it's impossible to escape being in one photo or another. And with Mani being such a big business tycoon, Ishita had to get snapped somewhere and some common acquaintance had to notice.

But, there were a few good things about the leap.
  • Simmi being more independent than before and not back to Param/marrying Prateek. Yay feminism!
  • Shravan being an insecure teen. This is a very real scenario in today's world.
  • Aditya Bhalla. Enough said.
  • Nidhi and Ashok's "dinner and more..."
I think I narrowed it down to the final 2 bullets and I couldn't but help write that for me, the single best thing post the leap was Nidhi and Ashok getting together. They both deserve each other so incredibly that it's almost inexplicable. And kudos to the writers for coming up with that. 👏👏 . Sorry Adi, I think the character is amazing and well defined, but Nidhi-Ashok hook up was just insanely perfect.

Would love to know your thoughts also!

awesome write up
bt as far as raman marrying Shagun and Ishita marrying mani is concerned.
raman couldn't forget ishita and ws nt ready to give her position to anyone
and had ishu marrying mani doesn't makes sense as she ws living as friend with her(i admit in practical life any woman would have married mani),bt this is fiction.

baaki the positivity you laid out is correct
adi is the best character after leap
