The show is getting more and more bizarre by the day
I watch the show on Star Utsav at 7 pm and then switch over to the latest episode of the show on Star Plus at 7.30pm.
The contrast is amazing.
What led to what
What was for-- Sirf Ruhi ke Liye
There is no sign of it
It is only TRPs ke liye
And all this time we well read, intelligent ,free thinking audiences were led to believe,promoted to believe and assured to believe, this is a show with difference, Nayi Soch
And then we complaint - look at the West
We as an audience both rural and urban are as intelligent or more than our Western counterparts
But the people who wield power behind the Idiot Box have much to learn from us ,evolve and realise they are not addressing fools.
Its a shame that those in a position for doing India proud and raising the bar are so very very ordinary
It is not a sign of ordinariness that in a poor ,developing over populated country like India TV is the only entertainment by and large
It is a fact of life
But that does not make the audience is ordinary in any way
Lack of options is like lack of opportunities
It is not a reflection on intelligence,standard or taste
On the contrary it reflects the ordinary intelligence,inconsistent standard and lack of finesse in taste on part of those who run the tv industry
