Especially poor Mihir. But you're right in your interpretation. Still, we can't ignore the fact that Ashok had insisted Mihir to let Raman stay alone. And when he returned he got the shock. Even after investigating with help of Subbu he got only the point that Raman is perfectly alright and left his sister. Can't blame him completely
Coming to Shagun..., she didn't tell her parents about her deeds. I'll clear it in the next chapter with a note!
