I OFFICIALLY give up on YHM. No, not on watching it (since I will sound stupid if I vow to myself for the thousandth time that I shall never watch this show again), but in trying to make sense of the track.
WHAT is the track? WHERE is the track? Is there a track? Are the three major questions right now.
Two weeks ago Shagun's bhoot drama started...till yesterday it seemed Ishita WAS possessed. But today, in SO many ways it became obvious this is NO case of an evil Shagun possessing an innocent Ishita. It looks so deliberate. So meticulously planned.
Ashok walks in, his heart pounding...trying to do what was requested of him. And IshGun pulls him seductively towards herself, striking up a hush-hush conversation. It was funny to see Ashok's heart literally pounding 😆 Had it been any other day, he would have probably chuckled to himself and gloated that he got to be with TWO WOMEN at the same time...but aaj nahin...aaj toh uski _____ padi thi🤣 😆😆😆 Apparently, Shagun and Ashok had met up on a dinner date right before her date...How is that possible? Shagun was busy getting harrassed and ridiculed by the society people and the Bhallas...and making videos of herself at the 'airport' and trying to jump off the terrace (which btw looked like Bhalla's apartment ka terrace😆)..so WHEN DID THEY GO ON A DINNER TOGETHER???
When IshGun shares this info with Ashok, he takes it as a cue that it is indeed, Shagun (since this was between them both)...and instead of asking her to leave Ishita's body...he instructs her never to leave her body...ever...😕 Personally, I dont think it makes any difference...I mean, just because Ashok is more comfy with Shagun than the others does not mean she will leave Ishita's body at the drop of a hat...and just because she is playing seductress queen with him now doesn't mean she cant kick his ass when she feels the time is right. I just find the whole bit of Ashok coming and intervening - stupid😆 Bhoot aise sab ki baat maanne lage toh farzi baba aur tantrikon ka dhanda kaise chalega?😆
I cannot even begin to describe how HAPPY I was when I saw Ishita behaving oh-so normally with Raman...how she looked concerned when he hurt his finger, how she immediately pulled out the first- aid box and tended to his wound, how she baby-talked him and asked him to take care...how she smiled when he threw his first one-liner in ages - Yeh bypaas thodi na hai😆 ...
The look of pure joy, relief and bliss on his face, at the mere thought that his wife was back to her old self. His loving, protective, sweetheart wali wife😛 I couldn't take my eyes off him, when he was staring at her...just soaking in the privilege of being loved this way by the woman he loved the most in the world...and I was over-the-moon when she took his palm to her lips and tenderly kissed them I was so so so happy...not because I got to see a proper, unadulterated IshRa scene after enternity...but because this was hinting at the possibility of YHM bearing semblance to the remnants of its old version. Somewhat like the erstwhile, original version.
And just when I was feeling too jittery and giggly and fangirly inside looking at DiVan splashing chemistry all over the screen, just when I allowed myself to laugh freely at Raman's tease - Aisi dawai mile toh main zindagi bhar khud ko chot pahunchata rahunga or something...and wrapped his wifey in an affectionate bear hug...Ishita's eyes took on the smoulder and cunning of Shagun...like she enjoyed being the Queen of this moment...she enjoyed manipulating this man's affections...like her game was going just perfect. 😲
That was spooky because that WAS NEVER like Ishita. She never ever looks like that, staring into the space like she was hatching mad plans...and it was confirmed she was hiding something, or Shagun had taken over her...or maybe Shagun liked exposing herself between the fringes of her blowy hair and smoky eyes...and it was then, in that swagger in which Ishita left the bedroom, with a discreet purpose in her mind...that I realised...I JUST DID NOT KNOW WHO THIS WAS. Was it Ishita? Or IshGun? Or Shagun pretending to be Ishita? Or Ishita pretending to be Shagun? Which one WAS it??😕
The whole bit about Raman calling out to his family members and sharing the "good news" with them seemed like deja vu to me...since that had been done a few days ago, albeit, mistakenly, on the premise that Ishita was rid of Shagun's evil possession and was healthy and normal. But we all know what happened right after that little bit of celebration...This time toh even Prateek was invited...to be a part of this news...he was the only one was who skeptical of Ishita😕...he was skeptical of her when he spoke to her about getting his dental problems fixed, when they were all smiling and joking, when he sat down sipping tea Toshi served him even as Ishita kept working in the kitchen area behind...she had this manic gleam in her eyes...like she was enjoying ruining something...Prateek kept looking back at her, trying to scrutinize her...understand something about her which possibly didnt catch his eye...under a penetrating, discerning gaze...
Ishita, on the other, made wicked, grumpy faces at Prateek whenever he turned to the other side ...And I was like, what does this even mean???? Ishita NEVER, EVER does this. Shagun does this. But then Shagun behaving exactly like Ishita...man! I am so confused now!
The WHOLE episode was about Ishita...and nowhere did it make sense to me...
Bala came in with huge bags of crackers for the kids..and asked Ishita to go keep it as they are (divided accordingly, as per each kid in Bhalla House) ...once inside Adi's room, she pulls out the bags of crackers and picks out a box...takes out a cracker and starts fiddling with it...in a few seconds, Sarika comes in and asks her what she is doing with the crackers..Ishu puts on a smiley face and says she was just checking they were all safe...since the kids were going to play with them.
The minute Ishita leaves the room, Sarika pounces on the bags, picks out the box Ishita was fiddling with earlier and finds that the cracker looked dismembered - meaning, it looked useless, like someone had shredded it so it wouldn't burst. Now tell me, HOW is this related to the track???😆
And hence, after Prateek, she is the second person in the vicinity who does NOT trust Ishita at the moment.
Next, when Vandu meets Ishita at Iyer House, she insists she stay back and they both have coffee. Ishita had apparently gone to ask Vandu about Suraj...and that she saw them talking yesterday. Vandu explains...and says Suraj isnt that bad after all. And that he's also studying quite sincerely and has got good marks in his assignment. She starts showing him the file...that very minute, Ishita starts coughing incessantly and Vandu rushes to the kitchen to fetch her a glass of water. Ishita snatches the moment and tears a piece of paper from the notebook, hurriedly scribbles something on it and keeps it back in the file. Vandu leaves immediately, citing she's getting late...and Ishita smiles a cunning, satisfied smile.
And in the next scene, we see Ashok has been invited to some party...and asks Suraj if he would like to come. Suraj is wearing a college wala Tee and dutifully writing his assignments, saying he actually likes studying and no, he wont go to the party...he even shows his assignments and the marks he's getting...unbeknownst to him, the piece of paper falls out of the notebook ...Ashok notices it...
He picks it up stealthily, pockets it...and reads it after going outside -
I am ready to do the business we had spoken about.
Ashok gleefully declares that now Raman is going to be shocked beyond himself and may even die from the shock. WHAT SHOCK? WHAT IS THIS CRYPTIC MESSAGE? I feel before any of the YHM characters die, we'll all have gone insane😕
P.S. Suraj is acting too goody-goody to be trusted...And he is actually sitting down like an achcha baccha and doing his homework? Hua kya hai YHM ke villains ko? Ya yeh bhi ek reel ke liye...till this confusing, stupid track gets over? It seems Vandu and he are meeting up quite a bit...given that the notes could'nt have flown off from Iyer House to Khanna house without physically meeting up somewhere...I hope this doesn't create SuNDU prem-kahaani...or rather, VanRaj prem kahaani😆 (Suraj+Vandu)
I hope Suraj doesn't have the same scheming mind that his brother does, when he tried to woo a married woman years ago (read: Shagun).. I CANNOT see a rehash of the original YHM in a B-grade version😕YHM ka koi bharosa nahin. Sach mein.
P.S. Tomorrow some major drama is lined up...I am guessing Raman's life is in danger or something...anD iSHITA looks nervous and harrowed.
P.S. Appa opens his mouth after a six-month gap tomorrow🤣 and the best part, he ACTUALLY EMOTES like a human being😆 lucky us!😆
I have absolutelY NO THEORIES regarding the current ongoings. If anyone here does, please feel free to share it with me. I badly want to make sense of this nautanki show😲
