I'm sure this won't stick right for some people...Raman slapping Ishita...but this is what I feel about this incident-

I know Puttar slapping Biwi is distasteful...but what I'm trying to say it, if Biwi can and has the right to slap Puttar, then why wince at the thought of Puttar slapping Biwi? if Puttar can't slap her...she can't either.

and if we were okay with Biwi slapping Puttar, then at least we should be okay with Biwi getting the same treatment.

I don't condone violence, and slapping is not the answer. But in this case, I think he had to because she was getting out of control, and he had to bring her back to her sense. Similarly like how Ishita did during the rain scene, when he was out of control and she slapped him to bring him back to his sense.
