New OS: || Way beyond words ||

The world always seemed unfair to her. Be it in her childhood, adolescence or her adulthood. She has always been subjected to pain. The tuberculosis in her childhood ruined her happy childhood making her a patient for years together. When she seemed alright and so much in love with Subbu her dream broke with him leaving her in the alter on their engagement. She was shattered to know that she could never become a complete woman. She would never be able to fulfill one of the important roles of being women, a mother.

But everything seemed like a bad dream, which broke after waking up seeing Ruhi, her reason to live. She not only found a daughter in her but she felt that the world is beautiful if Ruhi is with her. She felt complete. Then came Raman Bhalla, the first man to pierce into her heart and consume its contents. He came, as a storm in her life making her a rebellious woman that she didn't know existed in her. Fighting with him, taunting him, picking on him, irritating him, lecturing him all seemed so normal and easy for her like he was her best friend.

His care, concern, him giving his president ship just for her, feeling jealous of Mani just couldn't help but make her fall in love with him. She was scared initially but then it seemed like a blessing to be in love with him.

When they realized it and yet refused to say it out, it was like a game for them a thrilling game, as they knew what ever happens they r death-do-us-apart couples. The fights, misunderstandings seemed a cake wake in their relationship.

Their confession made way into desire, which consumed them fully. There hands strayed towards each other without their knowledge always. Every corner felt like a bliss for them.

Then came the frustration of not being able to conceive. Ruhi's constant request dint seem to damper their lovemaking. It remained lovemaking for them. Soon when she conceived, she knew that god had at last completed her wholly. She didn't mind not having a baby of her own because for her Ruhi is her first and own baby! Adi's entry in her life was also a surprise. He came when she least expected him to and now he was a part of her.

But again life seemed to have thrown her back into the ditch. The death of the baby killed a part of her. It shattered her into pieces. She felt the world split around her and consume her. But one look at Adi, Ruhi and Raman she knew she had to get back. She had to hold on to something because the most precious people in her life where there with her. She got back, acted normal and cried hidden. She knew her pain would hurt others especially Raman who himself had gone back into a nutshell. His pain hurt her deeply. But she knew she was helpless. She tried convincing Raman that everything was okay, that they can try again because miracles do happen but he also knew the truth that she was weak very weak to carry a baby.

And then one day he brought up the topic of surrogacy. She was confused as to what made him come up with this crazy idea. Its not that she dint want a symbol of their love with her. She wanted it badly but she wanted to experience the feel of carrying the baby. She wanted to be able to feel the baby bump, the first kick, the ticklish feeling of baby's movement, the morning sickness, the swollen feet, the back pains, the cravings and the mood swings. She wanted to be the one to be pregnant not have someone else carry their baby. She had immediately refused to agree for surrogacy. He had tried many ways to convince her for it but she remained stubborn.

What she dint expect was want she had heard a few days back.

"I am so happy Shagun. You have again given the biggest happiness of my life. God you are pregnant I cannot believe it."

"Don't be Raman. I would be the happiest to do this for you. I know how much you and ishita wanted to have a kid of your own. I fell sad for Ishita about what happened to her. But if this would give you happiness then I am ready to do it for you."

Raman just hugged her tightly and kissed her whole face out of happiness. He slowly pecked her lips and hugged her tightly again.

That sentence broke her heart like never before. She felt she lost everything today even after having everything. She couldn't believe he actually pecked her lips. Everything just faded away in front of her eyes. She had clutched the door trying to balance herself only to lose it completely. She had to gather herself and stifle the sob that had escaped her mouth. She had run away from there. She drove to nowhere. She wanted to divert her mind only to be back to square one. She dint know what to thing about life anymore. She couldn't believe that Raman had done something against her wish, which would hurt her, haunt her for the whole life.

She had driven to a hilltop. She sat on a bench there in and cried her heart out. No calls or messages were could bring her to lift her head up. When the morning rays had hit her she had realized the time and had gone back home. No one seemed to question her about her disappearance and they all seemed pre-occupied with the good news they had come across. Shagun agreeing to surrogate Ishra's baby and she being pregnant. She couldn't believe her eyes when she saw the whole family accept Shagun including Simmi who recently had been warning Ishita about Raman's abnormal behavior. She realized she had walked in on something maybe she wasn't welcomed into because no one seemed to even notice her presence. She walked into the living room.

Raman walked up to her "Ishita I am so happy today, so happy I cannot tell you. Where were you last night? I tried calling you but when you dint answer I thought you were in some emergency. Anyway guess what, remember I had taken our signature few days back on a document. Well it was actually a surrogacy consent paper. I know you dint want it but then I know you would be happy seeing our baby being born. Shagun is surrogating our baby ishita. I cant believe it I am so happy." Raman hugged her without even looking at her face for her reaction. If he had seen he wouldn't have missed the expressionless face of Ishita whose eyes seemed vacant. After he moved back from the hug Ishita just walked away from there.

Raman was confused and dint know what happened. He was about to go behind her when Shagun called him for some talk about the baby. He got so engrossed that he forgot to even ask Ishita about not giving any reaction.

On the other hand Ishita seemed lost. She knew one thing she had to do. Go on a break and think about the things happening. She packed few clothes of her and other necessary stuff. She came back to the hall only to see Ruhi and Adi laughing and smiling sitting next to Shagun. This hurt her a lot and fresh tears filled up her eyes. But she knew she shouldn't fall weak.

"The family seems complete now. Maybe I was the reason for their separation. If I wouldn't be there then these four would be together forever. My stay has separated Ruhi and Adi from their real mother. I shouldn't snatch away their happiness anymore. Raman.. Raman seems so happy with Shagun. But he loved me dint he? Was it also a pretense? Was I again deceived in love?" When you see your world breaking you cant seem to be optimistic about everything. Ishita just looked at the now happy family and decided to leave them once and for all.

"Ermm... Ruhi Adi bacche aao na idhar" her voice cracked but she tried being normal. Adi and Ruhi ran towards their Ishimaa. (Adi Ruhi come here na)

"Ishimaa aapne suna humare ghar mien phir se baby aa raha hai. Shagun mumma hume baby de rahi hai. I am so excited." Ruhi squealed out of happiness. (Ishima did you hear we are getting a baby in our house again. Shagun mumma is giving the baby)

"Haan Ishimaa I am also so excited. I really wish it's a boy so that I have someone to play with me. This Ruhi Chuhi will only play with her dolls. Uff these girls ha" Adi teased Ruhi.

"Haww Bhaiyya girls dolls ke saath hi khelenge na!" "Anyway Ishimaa aap kahi jaa rahe ho? Aapne suitcase kyun pack kiya hai?" Ruhi questioned her looking at the suitcase ear her leg. (Haww girls play with dolls only na) (anyway Ishima where are you going? Why have you packed the suitcase)

The family members who were till now enjoying the bickering between the kids had the same confused look upon Ruhi's question. Raman walked over to Ishita who was looking down.

"Ishita answer Ruhi where are you going?" he questioned her.

"Ermm... Raman I have a conference in Chennai tomorrow for a week. So I have to go for that." She answered him little nervously.

"But Ishita how come suddenly. Till Yesterday there was no such plan right?"

"Well I was informed yesterday itself. Anyway its time for the flight. Ruhi Adi aapna khayal rakhna and study well, eat on time and sleep on time. Mummyji if you need anything call Mihika for helping you. Shagun if you don't mind can you stay back till I come back. Take care of the kids and Raman. Raman aap apna khayal rakiyega. Bye"

Ishita hugged every member of the family who were still trying to comprehend what happened. Ishita left from the house in a hurry. Everything seemed too bizarre and hurried. They found something fishy. Raman rushed behind Ishita only to see that she had left. He had a very uneasy feeling about everything that happened.

On the other hand Ishita couldn't stop her tears. She had left the place and was now flying to an unknown destination.

After 5 years

"Ishaan beta utho na, see its 7 already!!" listening to his mumma's voice Ishaan couldn't help but smile. (Ishaan, get up see its already 7!)

"Dood molning mumma" Ishaan got up and stretched.

"Good morning my baccha. Ache se nini aayi?" (Good morning dear. Had a good sleep?)

"Haan mumma. Mumma papa kaha hai? Mujhe unhein kuch batana hai!" (Yes mumma. Mumma where is papa? I have to tell him something)

"Papaaa... Papaaa where are you papa?" Ishaan ran without waiting for Ishita to even answer his question.

Ishita sighed and sat down on the bed looking at the picture of Ishaan in Raman's arms. The picture was taken just as Ishaan was born and held by Raman. The picture brought out the overwhelming feeling of having everything perfect in her life. She zoned out to the day when she got back her world.

After Ishita had left the house on the pretext of going to a conference Raman had been restless. There was no call from his Madrasan for a day and he knew something was definitely wrong. He tried calling her and when she dint answer he booked his ticket to Chennai without thinking about anything. When he reached there he tried finding out for any Dental conference only to fail to find one. He was hell worried. He dint know where she went. He broke down many times trying to find her. In the Bhalla and Iyer house everyone was hell worried about not getting any info about Ishita. Mrs. Iyer, Ruhi and Adi dint seem to stop crying. Romi and Mihir also tried to help Raman in finding ishita. Vishwa and Mr. Bhalla took care of the house. In between all this one person who was forgotten was Shagun. She felt that all the attention bestowed on her were gone. She knew she is somewhat losing the game. Hence tried blackmailing Raman emotionally to come back to her as she is not feeling well and that the baby needs his father etc. Raman however dint seemed to care so much about Shagun and the only person who occupied his mind was Ishita.

After searching for a week, they found Ishita admitted in the hospital in Delhi itself. Romi had found her when he had come to get information about Rohit's vaccination, which he couldn't miss out on. He saw her in the general ward while passing by the corridor. He had immediately called Raman informing him about the same and rushed to the reception to inquire more. Raman took the next flight available to rush back to Ishita. He was broken to know that she was in the hospital. Romi and Raman had decided not to inform anyone in the house yet and hence Shagun remained unknown to the fact of ishita being found and Raman coming to the hospital. Romi was informed that a stranger claiming that he had seen her unconscious and bleeding near Gurgaon brought Ishita to the hospital. When Raman and Romi met up they moved towards the ward. Seeing the doctor examining her they waited impatiently. The doctor came out to get to know about them and informed that she was pregnant and that she fallen unconscious, as she had not eaten for days together. Raman was super worried for Ishita. He sat there waiting for her to get conscious and Romi could do nothing but be there and support him.

When they were sitting there they had seen Shagun move towards the doctors office. Romi went to see her and ask her for her visit only to see her laughing with Manoj. He had overheard the convo about her lies to Raman about the baby and had barged inside to slap her for interfering in her brother's life again and breaking his heart.

Raman was once again broken to know the truth about Shagun. He got to know about the scam taking place in the hospital and got the culprits arrested. However, he had lost trust on god for doing this to him. He was now only waiting for his life to come back to life. Nothing else seemed to be important for him.

After 5 hours Ishita and woken up to see Raman next to her. Her eyes instantly filled with tears and her hand went to her tummy. She wanted to make sure that her baby was alright. Yes she knew she was pregnant the day she left the house. Infact she had gone to his office to inform him about the same only to see him and Shagun together and the bitter truth about the surrogacy. She dint want to look at Raman who was gazing at her continuously. A lone tear escaped Raman's eyes and he without thinking anything hugged her tightly and broke down. And then the confrontation took place and Raman and Ishita apologized for their behavior. Raman told her the truth about Shagun, which somewhat made Ishita happy as she dint want her and Raman's child to be born for someone else!

From then till now Raman regretted what he did. After that day when everything got sorted out Raman made sure Ishita took care of herself very well. He dint let her do any work, nor did he allow her to go to clinic. Ishita felt all that she was craving for. She felt the ticklish feeling, the kicks, the morning sickness, the cravings but she enjoyed everything only because Raman was with her experiencing all these with her. He made sure she is confortable all the time.

That is how our sweet little, naughty cutie pie Ishaan had come into this world. He had stolen everyone's heart by the first look of his especially Raman, Adi and Ruhi's. They loved him to bits and spoiled him to the core.

She came out of her thoughts when Raman came into the room carrying Ishaan in his arms who was busy chatting with his dad. Soon Ruhi and Adi also followed him and soon everyone just cuddled on the bed. This was a usual sight in Bhalla house cherished by Ishita always.
