I know I am late again...The week was too busy...
The coming week is going to be busier so I thought of giving u a quick update before I take a break from IF for about a week or 10 days...
I haven't replied to the comments due to time constraints but I have read them all and I am too happy to receive such an amazing response...
I read the comments but click the like button wen I reply to them so that I can keep a track of the comments i have replied to...

We stayed in a side hug probably for the longest time after realising that we had gifted each other the same thing.
But wait! How did Raman know that I am pregnant?
I broke the hug immediately as I was all set to interrogate him "Raman...Ye report aap ke paas kahan se ayi? Aur apko kaise pata chal ke I am pregnant?"
"Yahi sawal mai bhi tumse pooch sakta hoon. Ye report TUMHARE paas kaise aaya? Aur tumhe kaise pata chala ke you nahi WE are pregnant" he threw back.
"Kya matlab hai aapka? Mujhe nahi pata hoga? Mai pregnant hoon to mujhe pata chalega na" I stated the obvious.
"Baat tumhari sahi hai...but tumhe kaise pata chala? Kyunki mai khud gaya tha ye report collect karne aur maine tumse jhoot bola tha ke report me sirf weakness diagnose hua hai aur tumhe rest karna chahye" he blurted.
"Hawww...Aapne mujhse jhoot bola?" I was all furious.
"Haan bola...kyunki mai tumhe aaj ye surprise dena chahta tha. But wo sab jaane do, ye batao ke tumhare haath ye report kaise lagi, jabke maine Riddhima se kehke hospital authorities ko strictly bola tha ke is report ke baare me tumhe na bataye"
"Hawww...Aaapne itna sab kuch kiya?" I was shocked.
"Ye hawww hawww karna band karo aur mujhe batao ke tumhe kaise pata chala? Agar Riddhima ne tumhe bataya hai to mai usko chodunga nahi" he exclaimed.
"Rehne do aap Raman...Dhamki to aise dete ho jaise duniya me aap se bura koi nahi. But jab dhamki pe amal karne ka maamla aata hai to aap me dum hi nahi hota" I mocked.
"Haan theek hai...hoon mai dariya dil...Par is waqt mujhe ye jaanna hai ke tumhe kaise pata chala is report ke baare me"
"Arey aap to peeche hi pad gaye" I commented.
"Jaan batao na please...tum na aise hi tadpa tadpake jaan le lo meri"
Hahaha...my impatient pati! You have no idea how impatient he can get!
"Aap kitne impatient ho Raman" I chuckled.
"Haan hoon mai impatient...Ab batao na please"
"Raman aap kitne vulnerable ho jaate ho. Dekho na meri haan me haan milaye jaa rahe ho tab se"
Impatient Bhalla ko thakaane ka maza hi kuch aur hai...Aap log nahi samjhoge!😉
"Haan hoon mai vulnerable...Ab bata bhi do" he begged.
"Hahahahaha...How cute Raman! Abhi bhi aapne meri haan me haan milayi" I laughed hysterically.
"Yaar tum bhi na...Kitna tadpaogi aur? Bata do na please" he pleaded.
"Haan theek hai batati hoon...Par poori tarah has to loon" I said in pausing my laughing session for a while and then resumed it after having said that.
"Jaao...Mat batao...Mujhe sunna hi nahi hai" he pouted like a kid and turned to the other side.
Awww...how cute can he get! Ab is Cute Bhalla ko mai kaise mana karoon?
"Raman...suno na" I said making him face me but he did not budge.
"Mujhe nahi sunna" he said like an adamant kid.
"Kuch bhi nahi sunna?" I asked.
"Nahi" he replied.
"Pakka?"
"Haan pakka"
"Theek hai...Jaisi aapki marzi...Mai to ye batana chah rahi thi ke mujhe is report ke baare me kaise pata chala...magar aapko sunna nahi hai to..." he didn't even let me complete.
"Sunna hai...sunna hai...sunna hai" he said immediately turning towards me.
"Hehehehe" I giggled at his impatience and innocence.
"Ishita...this is not fair...tum phir se mujhpe has rahi ho" he was annoyed.
"Ok...ok...I am sorry...Ab nahi hasungi pakka" I promised.
"Aapki badi kripa hogi" he folded his hands in front of me and added "Ab batao bhi pleaaase"
I could not pull this stint longer for I too was dying inside by hiding this from him for so long. So I went on to narrate my scheming and plotting.
"Apko to yaad hai na ke us din mujhe kitchen me kaam karte karte chakkar aagaye the aur aap immediately mujhe Doctor Riddhima ke clinic legaye" i began.
"Haan yaad hai...Tabhi to Ridhhima ne tumhare blood samples liye the test keliye. Aur usi ke report se to mujhe pata chala pregnancy ke baare me" he narrated the second half.
"Haan to us din aap report collect karne keliye gaye to mai wait kar rahi thi ye jaanne keliye ke report me kya aaya. Kyunki mujhe kaafi dinon se uneasy feel ho raha tha. Waise to mai Dentist hoon but ye sab cheezein in brief humein bhi sikhayi jati hain. To mujhe shak sa hone laga tha ke I could be pregnant. Isiliye maine aapse kaha tha ke report milte hi muhe bata dena. But aapne to call kiya hi nahi"
"Haan wo mai tumhe surprise dena chahta tha na. Apni anniversary khareeb hi thi to maine socha ke isse achha gift kya ho sakta hai tumhe dene keliye. Isliye maine chupaya tumse. Haalaanke mai khud itna betaab tha tumhe bataane keliye" he admitted.
"Wahi to mai sochun ye Impatient Bhalla itna patient kaise hogaya?" I was surprised.
"You have no idea kitna mushkil tha mere liye tumse ye chupaana. Par phir maine khud ko yeh kehke himmat dilayi ke agar ek saal tak apne dil ki baat tumse chupane me kamyaab raha to ye to sirf 10 dinon ki baat hai. Kar lonnga control"
"Maangaye Mr. Bhalla" I applauded.
"But faayda kya hua itni mehnat ka? Tumhe to pehle se hi pata tha" he sulked.
"Mehnat to maine bhi badi saari ki aapse chupaane keliye. Aur pata to aapko bhi tha pehle se hi" I sulked too.
"Pehle ye to batao ke tumhe pata kaise chala" he came back to the main point.
"Aap ne us din report milne ke baad mujhe call to nahi kiya aur mai wait karti rahi. Aur aap mera bhi call nahi receive kar rahe the. Phir maine Doctor Riddhima ke clinic call kiya to pata chala ke aap already report collect kar chuke hain. Maine Doctor se baat karni chahi to receptionist ne mana kar diya ye kehke ke wo busy hain.
Phir aap shaam me ghar aaye to aapne bataya ke sirf weakness hai aur iske liye mujhe achhe se rest karna hai aur vitamins lene hain. Us waqt to mai khamosh rahi but I was not satisfied.
Aap ne to usi din se mera clinic jaana band karwa diya tha ye kehke ke I need rest. To ab mere paas koi aur chaara nahi tha to maine ghar pe hi kit mangwake test kar liya. And it showed positive. Mai to khushi se jhoom uth ti par phir mujhe dhyaan aaya ke ye kits kabhi kabhi inaccurate results bhi bata dete hain. So its always better to get it confirmed.
To maine socha ke Doctor Riddhima ke yahan jaake phir se test karwati hoon but jo report aapne batayi thi uske hisab se to mujhe ab trust nahi raha Doctor Riddhima pe. To mai Vandu Akka se milne ke bahaane se Mother & Child care clinic gayi aur wahan test kara liya. Phir to next day ye report mila to maine bhi yahi socha ke anniversary apko surprise de deti hoon. Isiliye aapse ye sab chupaya" I narrated the entire story.
"Tumne chori chupe itna sab kuch kiya. Chor kahin ki" he accused.
"To kya? Aapne bhi to mujhse jhoot bola. Jhoote kahin ke" I accused him in return.
"Haan to maine tumhe khush kar ne keliye ye jhoot bola tha" he defended himself.
"Haan to maine bhi aapko khush karne keliye ye chori chupe ki thi" I gave back.
"Par jo bhi hai mujhe pehle pata chala to mera haq pehle banta hai ye gift dene ka. So this was my gift for you" he remarked.
"Hawww...pehle pata chala to kounsi badi baat hogayi...Mehsoos to maine pehle kiya tha na. To mera zyada haq banta hai ispe. So this was MY gift for you" I argued.
"Mehsoos wehsoos mai nahi jaanta. Contribution to mera zyada hai na is baby keliye. To ye baby mera gift hai tumhare liye" he counter argued.
"Aise kaise apka zyada contribution hogaya baby ki taraf? 9 mahine kok me mai paalun, beemar mai padun, takleef mai uthaaon aur contribution aapka zyada? Kuchh bhi? Contribution to mera hi zyada hai. To ye baby mera gift hai AAP keliye" I announced.
"Maana ke contribution tumhara zyada hoga but main contribution t mera hai na. Mai mehnat na karta to thodi na aaj ye baby tumhare kok me hota" he winked bringing his naughtier side into the argument.
I was no less either. I too invited the naughtier Ishita to challenge him "Maine co-operate kiya tab jaake ye possible ho paaya. Agar mai co-operate na karti to aapki mehnat to bekar hi jaani thi"
"Tum jo bhi keh lo. Is baby pe mera haq pehle ata hai. Aur isiliye use tumhe gift karne ka haq bhi mera hai" he declared.
"Aise kaise aapka haq hogaya pehle is baby me? Koi valid reason to hona chahye na" I demanded
"Valid reasons hi to de raha tha ab tak" he reminded.
"Ek bhi valid reason nahi thi apki. Mere sare reasons valid the isliye mai jeeti" I gave the verdict.
"Ab iska faisla bhi tum hi karogi ke kiske reasons valid the?"
"Haan mai hi karungi. Aur koi to hai nahi is kamre me" I reasoned. "Now see that's called a valid reason" I mocked at him.
"This is not fair. Tum to apne hi reasons ko valid samjhogi na. To ab hum ye faisla kisi third person se karayenge" he said.
"Chalo ek to valid baat ki aapne. Theek hai mai iske liye tayyar hoon. Chaliye apne Judge ke paas" I agreed to his suggestion.
"Koun Judge?" he asked.
"Simmi of course! she is the wisest of all here" I stated
"No not Simmi. I very well know ke wo to tumhari hi side legi. Isliye Simmi nahi, Abhi se poochte hain"
"Very smart haan...Kya mai nahi jaanti ke Abhi aapka kitna achha dost hai? Wo to aap hi ke haq me faisla dega. So no to Abhi. Mihir ke paas chalte hain" I smartly said.
"Ahahahaha! Mihir! Mai to usse poochne se pehle hi bata doonga ke wo tumhari side lega. Akhir hai to Bhabhi ka hi chamcha na. Mihir to hargiz nahi. Maa phir bi theek hai"
"Oh! Maa! Maa da ladla bigad bhi jaaye to wo to apne laadle ko hi saraahengi. So no to Maa" I proclaimed.
"Great! Ab koun bacha? Nirvan! Kya ab hum usse poochenge?" he mocked.
"To kya ab padosiyon se poochenge?" I asked.
"Ek aisa insan hai jo iska sahi faisla kar sakta hai"
"Koun?"
"Doctor Ridhhima"
"No no...wo to aapki batchmate thi...Wo aapki side legi" I was afraid.
"Yaar tum har kisi keliye aise hi bol rahi ho. Aise hi argue karte rahe to hogaya faisla" he was irritated.
"Haan to kisi aur Doc ke paas bhi jaa sakte hain. Riddhima hi kyun?"
"Kyunki is waqt hamari is pagalpanti ka ilaaj karne keliye sirf wahi tayyar hogi. Is waqt pe agar hum kisi aur doc ke paas ye argument lekar gaye to wo to humein mental asylum hi bhej dega. Isiliye it is either Dr. Riddhima who decides or you declare ME the winner" he challenged.
"Waah bhai...chit bhi aapki, pat bhi aapki. Nahi nahi I don't agree" I was not giving up so easily.
"To phir honestly bol do ke tum dar rahi ho faisle se. Kyunki tumhe pata hai ke jeetunga to mai hi" he instigated.
"Mai darnewalon me se nahi hoon, ye aap bhi jaante ho" I said proudly.
"To theek hai, chalo mere sath Riddhima ke clinic. Aaj to uski night duty bhi hai"
"Theek hai chaliye"
In an hour we were at Doctor Ridhhima's clinic. Raman explained to her why we here at this hour of the night. She looked baffled at first. She tried her best to explain that we had equal rights on the baby but we both were too adamant to hear her out. We demanded for proof. Finally giving up, she said that she would do an ultrasound and on that basis would decide who had more right on the baby.
I don't know what logic it had, yet we agreed.
While I was changing into the hospital gown getting ready for the ultrasound, I found some lone time with her.
This was a golden opportunity to influence her decision.
"Doctor...I know ke aap Raman ko kaafi saal se jaanti ho aur aap log kaafi acche friends bhi ho. To obviously aapka jhukaav unke taraf hoga. I just wanted to request you ke aap unki side na lein" I smartly began to instigate her.
"Hehe...Don't worry about that" she assured.
I was still not satisfied "You know na we WOMEN are so emotional. Hum AURATEIN facts se zyada rishton ko ehmiyat dete hain. After all WE are WOMEN" I emphasised on the word Women and Aurat and then WE so that she would be influenced by my words and give the verdict in my favour.
"Tum mouqa dekh ke Riddhima ko apne side karne ki koshish kar rahi ho?" Raman screamed from behind me.
"Wo meri side kyun lengi?" I asked.
"Women women kehke tum use apni side karne ki koshish me thi. Kya mai tumhe nahi jaanta? Achhe se sheeshe me utar liya hoga tumne use. Ab to wo tumhari side hi legi" he expressed his fear.
"Kuch bhi Raman? Wo to aapki dost hain to aap hi ki side lengi na" I stated my worry too.
"Order! Order!" Riddhima hit her table with the back of a scissor and we stared at her blankly "Judge mai hoon na? To mai faisla karungi. Now Ishita silently lie down aur Raman tum wahan khade raho chup chaap"
We nodded and followed her instructions. We silently watched cluelessly as she performed the scan and stared into the screen curiously.
After about 2 minutes she smiled widely, looked at us and then back at the screen and her smile got wider.
We exchanged looks nervously waiting for the final verdict.
"Haan to faisla ye hua hai ke..." she took a longish pause.
"Raman itni door kyun khade ho...Idhar aao" she signalled him to come closer. My heart already began to sink assuming that now she was going to tell that he has won.
She took his hand and guided it towards a tiny lump like thing displayed on the screen and said "Raman ye TUMHARA baby hai"
Raman looked at the screen and then at me with tear filled eyes and held my hand tightly. We were so overwhelmed to catch the first glimpse of our baby that for a moment we forgot we were at war. Well that moment was worth forgetting everything!
Such a blissful moment!
"Aur..." said Doctor Riddhima bringing us out of the reverie.
She said TUMHARA baby to Raman...that means Raman has won, I began to sulk.
She now guided my hand to another lump like thing on the other side of the screen and said "Ishita, ye TUMHARA baby"
I was taken aback. I was not sure what she meant. Raman too was not sure I could tell from the expression he carried.
"Hum kuch samjhe nahi. Aap kya kehna chah rahi ho?" I asked.
"Mai ye kehna chah rahi hoon ke tum dono bekar me hi lad rahe the. Kyunki yahan ek nahi do do babies hain. Aur tum dono khushi khushi ek doosre ko ye babies gift kar sakte ho. Problem solved" she explained.
"You mean twins?" Raman asked to confirm. I had lost my voice as I was overjoyed.
She nodded with a huge smile and left us alone to relish the moment.
"Ishita" is all Raman could manage to say but his eyes spoke a lot.
"Raman" I whispered hoarsely.
We took each other into a tight hug and cried the tears of joy.
"Thank you so much Ishita. Thank you" Raman said still in the hug.
"Thank YOU Raman" I said.
"I love you Ishita. Thanks for everyting" he hugged me tighter.
"I love you too Raman" I replied poring out all the love I had for him.
