TOI:Anita Hassanandani to play Ekta Kapoor on 'Comedy Nights Bachao'

Small screen's favourite vamp Shagun aka Anita Hassanandani is all set to try her hands at comedy with Colors' new show Comedy Nights Bachao. The actress, who considers TV czarina Ekta Kapoor her mentor, will be soon be seen enacting Ekta Kapoor on her new show.

"I will be playing Ekta in one of the episodes. Since I know her so well, I will bring out all the nuances like the way she dresses up and the accessories she wears like the rings, jewellery, the tika that she puts on her forehead and then her anger. And, of course, how she is with people as a producer, which I will do in a funny way. I will obviously try and do my best because I know her," said the pretty actress.

When quizzed if Ekta is aware about this, Anita said, "Yes, I have already informed her. She is very sporting and she will definitely take this in a very good way."



Talking about doing a comedy show for the first time, Ankita said, "When I got the offer, I excitedly agreed to do it. However, I was not sure if I will be able to do it. Then I talked about it with my husband Rohit (Reddy), who motivated me. He told me that even while accepting Shagun's role in 'Ye Hain Mohabbatein' I was very apprehensive, as it was a negative role. But I managed to pull it off well. So after receiving so much love from the audience I am ready to start a new chapter through this show."

I hope she gets so busy with this show that she can't give YHM enough time. Seeing that her acting as a positive character is hideous.
