I'm kinda flummoxed. Is this the first time Raman said - "yeh mera ghar hai...aur yahan wahi hoga jo main chahunga"...I mean, why are ALL the Bhallas taking his words LITERALLY this time around? Is it because Raman transferred the company to Ishita?
The fact that Raman is a hot-tempered, impulsive man with a hard outer shell but a buttery heart isnt hidden from anyone. Then why is everyone reacting so weirdly?
Sarika went in to talk to Romi, surprised ki Raman bhai Papa ji se aise kaise baat kar sakte hain? I understand Mr.Bhalla needs someone on his side as well, but Sarika was there from the very beginning and she SAW how the fight escalated to despicable levels, because Rinky wouldn't stop screaming and saying nasty things to Ishita. And then she got nasty with Raman as well...if she can talk to her elder brother the way she did, then he also fought back justifiably. Its essentially between him and her. Why couldnt Bhalla ji have asked what exactly happened before Raman uttered those words...
Now Sarika is also wondering if Raman will end up throwing them as well...WHAT IS WRONG WITH EVERYONE?š” He went to such great lengths to ensure his brother got back his kid, and the girl he loved. If Raman really wanted to do nothing with Romi, he would've thrown Romi out long back ...and there would have been many valid reasons to do so, given that the kaands he keeps getting involved in are enough to piss anyone off.
Romi was mildly annoyed with Rinki, but somewhere I feel BOTH Romi and Simmi could have done their best in trying to make Bhalla ji understand how the fight STARTED in the first place. Coz even Simmi is crying and hurt ki Raman bhai ne Papa se aise kaise baat ki? Well...Mr.Bhalla took a lot of things out of context and he didnt even LET Raman speak..so what's the poor guy to do? Irritating bunch, these siblings are. Its like Ishita and Raman are now all alone. Left to themselves. Ostracized.
I so miss Toshi ji during these times. She would've drilled some sense into Bhalla ji's head.
Also, Romi STILL doesnt understand the gravity of the situation. He assured Sarika they wont be thrown out coz Raman bhai has always taken care of them like his own children...and also, this is a service flat which they are temporarily using...and the original flat is in Bhalla ji's name...so no need to worry...does that mean, dil hi dil mein he is also wondering if his bhai will throw him out along with his wife and kid? Toh maano company bhi Bhalla ji ke naam hoti, toh Romi aiwaeen zindagi bhar aish karke guzaar deta kya?
I WISH Toshi ji came in the picture and sat all these people down and made them UNDERSTAND that the company and the fortune the Bhallas currently enjoy is all Raman's hard work...fruits of his labour...he earned it all from scratch. Ideally, he has every right to hand over the business to his wife...coz its both a moral as well as a legal responsibility. Rahi baat maa baap ki seva ki, Raman has ALWAYS put his family before himself. Always. How can these idiots FORGET THAT?š”
Shagun is coming to Delhi for the NGO work. Oh god. Why, God why? And even though Delhi is a HUGE state, by fluke she will run into Adi/Ruhi/Raman/Ishita someone or the other from the Bhalla family.
WHAT exactly is Ashok up to these days? Wapas Suraj ki company chaprasi ke post pe join ki kya? Coz he is always standing/sitting somewhere and listening in on people's conversation. Iss baar toh Mihir ke apartment ke neeche milne chala gaya...after witnessing an ugly spat between Mihir and Rinky, he butted in to offer some unsolicited adviceš
Rinky claimed she was a materialistic bitch and not a 'sant' like Mihir...Mihir scoffed at her when she called herself his wife...he asked her to go tear a few pages off Ishita's rulebook of 'How to be an Adarsh Wife' and infuriated her even more...Ashok came in to make the stupendous offer and says he wants Mihir to head a new product launch...
"Main agar road pe bhi aa jaunga na, I will not work for you," Mihir ne Ashok ko munhtod jawab diya. Awesome. š All those manipulative talks of Mihir not doing anything on his own and working under Raman his whole life, fortunately, didnt get to him. CVs...he is one of my fav characters in the show. Please dont line him up for the butchering agenda. Please.š
Ashok, the smartass, still managed to convince Rinky to give him a call and accept his offer.
Another thing which I feel is so PREPOSTEROUS by Bhalla ji's standards is the fact that he actually bought groceries and veggies for 'his family'..and taunted Iishita...saying, "Baki iss ghar ke maalik aur uska parivaar apna intezaam khud kare" or something like that...My point is - WHY is he stretching the impulsive jhagda? Why is he being a prick with his DIL? Does he even have an idea of what a disaster his own daughter is with her married life?
If he really is hell-bent on sharing things, then they should just split everything. He is doing too much drama IMOš”
Also, when Raman gave the cheque for the last instalment of the original flat (in Akash Ganga society), Bhalla ji stormed in and tore a cheque leaf and gave it to Manish, thundering Raman down, saying "Yeh mera ghar hai aur main nai chahta ismein kisi aur ka paisa lage..." "Main aaj bhi apne ghar ko chala sakta hun" and blah blah...
He didnt have to create a scene in front of the instalment guy...Raman tried to speak to him and apologize, but YET AGAIN he didnt give him a chance. This is ANNOYING. Even if you're a parent, you cant behave so high-handed and irrational. š”
Also, when Simmi asked him where he got the money to pay for the instalment of the flat, he said he withdrew his FD money and paid for it. "Maine apne budhape ke liye fixed deposits aur insurance policies bana rakhe hain" ...Fair enuff. Praiseworthy. Smart. If that's the case, then why do you say you never thought you'd use the money? And then put all responsibility on your ALREADY burdened son to bear ALL the liabilities of the household??
I totally get it that children have a duty to take of their parents as they grow old. But then if parents HAVE been saving up for their last years, then what is the point of over-burdening the child with more responsibilities just because in their head its a son and they have been thinking, "Mera beta mere budhape ka sahara banega" all this while?š” WHERE has Raman said he will not take care of them? Or is Mr.Bhalla pissed that Raman transferred the company in Ishita's name? WHY IS HE BEHAVING LIKE RAMAN HAS BEEN TORTURING THEM FOR YEARS? I dont get it. Its annoying. Coz Raman is doing MORE THAN HIS FAIR SHARE OF HIS RESPONSIBILITY. Why cant Bhalla ji expect the same from Romi and the others?
Rinky was talking about Mihir's right, which obviously translates to her right...but she should remember that with rights come responsibilities...and judging from the way she assumes everything at the drop of a hat and is out to be nasty to anyone who crosses her path, it doesnt look like she is the kind who will ever realize her responsibilities or fulfill them...
If Bhalla ji has so much money, then why has he been sitting on his arse all these years and not spending a dime on ANYTHING in the household??š” He is a fine man, and still healthy...why cant he go to work? Like Appa does? Appa deserves WAYYY more respect than Bhalla ji...coz he runs the house with his own money EVEN after retirement...sorry...I dont mean to say all retirees MUST work...but then if you HAVE financial independence, why would you constantly rely on your overburdened son for sahara? Heck! Why cant YOU support your son in running the house, doing whatever little you can?? so just because you have a head full of grey hair, doesnt mean you start whiling away your time in the house and become completely dependent on your children...
Personally, I feel its not right to expect so much out of one's children. Times are tough, life can get unpredictable...why be a thorn in your child's future...why not make provision for your old age early on?? Money doesnt matter, the fact that you're still active and going at 60/70/80 and can contribute your own little bit to the family is a matter of pride...its best to be independent...for as long as one can be...and hope your children will take good care of you when the going gets really tough...
I could totally understand how HURT and dejected Raman felt...and though he got pissed and didnt mean what he said, its kinda tough to take on the blows EACH SINGLE TIME. Bhalla ji NEEDS to rehash whatever happened and realize his folly. Give Raman a chance to talk.
Poor guy...this is how men feel...overburdened, cagey (coz they cant explain themselves or express themselves coherently), misunderstood, emotionally blackmailed and what not. Society expects SO much of them, they cow down under the pressure...no wonder Raman is so comfortable with Ishita and so carefree leaving things to her. Poor guy needs SOMEONE he can rely on.
As for RInky, she DID go and meet Ashok...and said, "Yeh mat samajhna tum mere aur bhai ke beech mein misunderstanding create kar sakte ho..yeh sab main Mihir ke liye kar rahi hun"
Yeah right. Mihir ke liye, it seems She is doing it all for herself...to enjoy the privileges of being a CEO's wife. God. She is becoming just like Shagun urf Ruhi Arora She actually BELIEVED Ashok when he said he wanted to make Mihir his partner?? Like, really? She should go pack her bags and go for some IQ-accelerating classes...how can she be so dumb? TRUST ASHOK, OF ALL PEOPLE? The man who single-handedly ruined her Bhai's life for a good 6-7 years and didnt leave ONE chance to put Raman down...and she doesnt mind if Mihir works for Ashok? She really needs a lesson in common-sense and loyalty. Disgusting.
PRECAP - Ishita is informing Raman about the baby welcoming due to happen in the evening...Sarika's baccha's grih pravesh...and says this is a good chance to show Papa ji they still care about them and whatever happened was all a load of bullshit...
Something tells me, Bhalla ji would not be easy to please. He is gonna stretch the drama further. And if he DOES, then Raman really should let them go to hell and not take this torture day in and day out.
P.S. Raman and Appa were in the same restaurant where Rinky and Ashok met, but Raman couldnt see Rinky. Hope he gets to know about it before that dim-witted sis of his does more damage...
