Hi Aru, thank you for your post and a reminder why we all began watching this show...

As I have previously said, it was by accident that I chanced upon this show, was intrigued enough by it to actually go back and watch all the episodes that I had missed and realized this was a fantastic series, close to life and something that most of us could relate to. I have never watched Ekta's previous outings and I was not even aware that this was an ekta kapoor show until I was addicted to it !

There are so so many positives to the show :

1. Fantastic ensemble cast

2. amazing story line (at least for the first 6 - 8 months)

3. amazing talent

4. Last of all DivAn whose mere presence not only electrified, but burned the screen.

I stopped watching the show a few weeks ago... during Subbu reentry as I could not even understand the stupidity of his reintroduction track and along with the fact that the actor selected to play to role was worse than a wooden mannequin ... I am sorry I am insulting the mannequin by equating it with the actor !

The next thing that put me off was the recoupling spoiler ... because the recoupling was infact the worse idea than bringing in Subbu. Shagun and Subbu were responsible for the insurmountable hurt caused to both Raman and Ishita.

Shagun, whether we accept it or not, whether we like it or not, has, will and always be an integral part of Raman's life... After all she is the biological mother of Adi and Ruhi. There is no disputing that fact. The reason for absolute and utter dislike of Shagun is because she abandoned a wonderful man, an infant and poisoned an young child's mind.

On every level, if Shagun is brought back into Raman's life is like condoning adultery, condoning the fact that it is absolutely ok to leave a wailing infant behind in pursuit of your materialistic desires.

If Shagun had to be brought back, it is absolutely, totally and completely illogical to bring her back as whiter than white character ... because it is impossible and implausible to accept and believe ! She should have been brought back scheming / fuming at Ashok / suraj wanting to get back to him, leeching on to him, that would have been absolutely fantastic.

Audience will definitely not accept this Shagun, because as a leopard cannot change his spots, Shagun cannot and will not give up her barely there blouses and her designer sarees...

I hope the speculation that is rife on the forum does not come true ... I want to see some happiness in Ishra life, is it to much to ask ?

Please writers, you have an amazing cast, enough tracks to close and a beautiful story to tell. Everything is still not lost... Use a little bit of those grey cells that you have been endowed with and you will have the most beautiful offering for your viewers. Try to stand apart from the run of the mill crowd.

If your grey cells have rusted, that's fine, visit the forum and you will have amazing ideas from the writers here ! Give it a try...

The ones who protested had only one purpose for protesting .. It was trying to prevent our story from going down the drain.. Not any personal affiliation for the leads or any personal vendetta against Anita or Amit. The whole foundation of YHM was based on 3 'rejects' brought together by destiny, each healing each other from their past scars and in the process Ishita and Raman falling in love with each other. THAT is the USP of the show... Story of subtle human relationship.. And through them we came to know their quirky families... Even Shagun in her original sketch made complete sense.. As did all the antagonists, ashok Param. We're truly experiencing a mature urban storyline.. Where even melodrama had a subtle edge.

And then everything went downhill..first Sauten drama that was forcefully dragged for months and character butchering started ...and now this Mother Teresa reincarnate aka reformed shudh golden hearted Shagun...for what? To make ShaRam acceptable ?( it would never be for anyone who truly understands the premise of the show and is not just rooting for their personal favorite actor) Just to accommodate the screen time/ increase importance of one character? At the cost of EVERYTHING that made YHM so unique. Why? I could understand this as Hail Mary pass to save the dwindling TRP.. YHM has maintained its position in the top TRPs forever.. Then what can be the reason for this move?

It's truly baffling.
