Sorry for the late update. 😳 As always I haven't properly edit my writing so please ignore the typos and grammatical errors

PART 3

[MUMBAI MALL:SAME DAY:LUNCH TIME]

Ishita got to the elevators. She pressed the button and waited few seconds and then she pressed it again and then again one more time anxiously.

"That's very smart of you. You I know I read it somewhere that's it not till the third push the elevator actually knows you need to be somewhere" A voice from the back said.

Ishita let out a laugh and turned to face the person and she froze. It was him. It was Raman Kumar Bhalla. He was the one standing next to her. He was the one who spoke to her. Suddenly her senses became numb, it became hard for her to breathe, her mouth became dry, her hands started to sweat and her feet started to shake. The pin drop silence that took over the situation suddenly didn't help. Without saying anything she turned back quickly and closed her eyes hoping this was just a dream and not happening in real.

Raman was little taken back by the beautiful stranger's reaction to his casual words. Had he said something wrong he wondered before he too turned to look down. A minute later the door to the elevator opened. He waited for her to step inside. Noticing she hadn't budge, he cleared his voice "um that's for us I believe" he gestured at the opened door.

Ishita quickly rushed inside hearing his words , she tried to be careful enough not to make any more eye contacts. The rather short elevator ride felt longer than usual to her. She couldn't resist from not looking at him from the corner of her eyes. To her surprise she noticed him to be doing the same.

Indeed Raman had been watching her all along. Her fidgeting with her bag, her nonstop taping of her heels, her uncomfortable changes of postures were hard to ignore. She was behaving exceptionally weird and that brought a slight grin on his face. She was an unbelievably beautiful women. Flawless features, perfect figure, simple elegant sense of style, she was every man's dream.He had seen her minutes before their encounter ,her getting out of her car, greeting the security as she walked while he watched from behind.She seemed like a friendly and a incredibly confident woman. Then why was she acting like this now? Was it him? Was he that much of intimidating for a beauty like her, he wondered as he stole glances at her?

As more and more people got on the elevator he moved closer and closer to her to her side. Unable to take the heat any further Ishita started to do what she does when she gets nervous. She started hum. As he heard her do that, he couldn't help not to let out little chuckle at her absurdity.

The doors finally opened and he saw her rushing out again. She didn't turn back once. He found him amazed at her, a smile lingered his face. There was something about her, something about her that made him feel she was no stranger.

[MUMBAI MALL FOOD COURT]

"Shut up!" Mihika exclaimed.

"I know, I couldn't believe it either"

"Okay first thing first...is he-"

"He is so hot...it's really shame for everyone else" Ishita finished it off for her.

"and?"

"And he is totally cocky...oh and I think he was shamelessly checking me out"

"No way! You think he recognized you?" Mihika asked excitedly.

"No! He had no idea who I was.We were standing so close. We rode up the elevator together and kept on getting pushed closer and closer to each other, oh man I thought I was going to lose it. I felt like the 14 year old geek again."

"Well you still are, you're just now trapped in a hot 24 year old body."

"Ha ha,so funny" Ishita sarcastically faked a smile "oh and then,and then I was so ridiculous I started humming to the mall music.".

"Brilliant" Mihika teased

"Awful" Ishita said rolling her eyes.

"Okay go on, was he flirting?"

"Well if there weren't other people I think he may of-"

"What...like ripped off all your clothes and forced you to do things you wouldn't want to but secretly fantasize about" Mihika shamelessly asked in curiosity. This whole thing was a big shock to her.

"Uh No... I think he may have asked me out" Ishita said brushing off Mihika's absurd question.

"Wait a minute...wait a minute!" Mihika said as an idea crept into her mind

"What?"

"Let him ask you out"

"Are you kidding, I'm not going out with Raman Bhalla, we went to an all-girls school because of him." Ishita screeched .

"We had no experience of boys until college because of him" Mihika added

"We were raging mess of teenagers" Ishita stated next

"Because of him !" Mihika finished off.

"So why would I date him?" Ishita asked

"No you would be getting revenge. You're going to make that loser fall in love with you and then you're going to dump him just like he dumped all over you"

Ishita stared at the wicked expression on her best friend's face "Miku what are you saying" she asked knowingly exactly what her friend meant.

"You're going to do this, for you. You gotta do this for you and girls all over the world like you. Take his project. Make him need you." Mihika said she she glared back on Ishita, remembering the tears she saw her shed that day when he played his cruel joke.

"Miku...oh my god, he was the reason we were miserable" Ishita said squinting her eyes as she also reflected back to that day.

"Ah yeah and if you pull this off, it's like the ULTIMATE revenge"

Both the girls looked at each other with a evil grin playing their lips "Ahhh you're brilliant, let's do it!" Ishita declared.

[Raman's Restaurant:Next day,11:00 AM]

"Mihir you going to be okay? I'm going to go to the back ,they are bringing in the chairs and I'm also supposed to meet the PR girl from marketing firm."

"Yeah bhai, you carry on" Mihir said as he continued instructing the other two men on how high he wanted the lighting.

Raman walked out of the kitchen into the lounge only to bump into someone else.

"hi"

"hi" he replied

"I just came by to give rest of your stuff" she said as she held out a bag.

"Thanks" he responded taking the bag from her.There was an awkward silence that followed.

"Raman just so you know. If I see you, I'll still be nice and smile at you even though you got dumped like trash on Friday"

"Rinki!" Shagun squealed.

"Not helping" Raina added.

Raman just continued his stern smile at the three girls before him.

"Well Good luck Raman, I really hope this...this become a success" Shagun wished him. She didn't care and it was clearly evident in her voice.

"Thanks...well I'm little busy right now" He said with the need for her to leave immediately of this place, his sight and his life.

"Okay...well see you around Raman and I really hope there are no hard feelings between us" she said with her typical fake smile.

Raman just nodded and watch her and her friends walk out.

Minutes later he heard another voice. More pleasant then the ones earlier. He turned and was taken in for a pleasant surprise. Here she was.

"Hi" he managed to utter back as a smile drew on his lips "You're that music girl from the elevator" he added hinting off he remembered her very well. Secretly he hoped she also remembered him.

"Yeah I get that a lot" she sheepishly responded.

So you're Ms. Iyer from the marketing firm? The food expert who is going to make me look like a million bucks even though I spend only half of that." he quizzed.

Ishita smiled "I believe that was the job description and please,call me Ishita"

The name sounded little too familiar for Raman but then so was she. Everything about her was.Her smile, the twinkles in her eyes, the way she crinkled her nose, the strand of hair that gently waved due to the wind coming from the opened window, everything. Everything was saying she was no stranger to him. He quickly realized he probably had been staring at her for little too long.

"Well I'm thrilled they send you Ishita. I'm Raman" He said extending his hand for a shake.

"Nice to meet you Raman." She said reciprocating his hand with a weak shake. She was nervous. She prayed she just wasn't too nervous for him to notice. "Wow this ...this place is looking amazing" she added momentarily.

"Well it better or I'm screwed and so are you" He replied.

"What?" she quickly asked.

"I'm kidding...it's a joke" He said realizing she took his tease a little too serious.

Ishita gave a fainted smile. "So lets begin the game plan" she said getting out the papers she had prepared but it slipped her hands and scattered on the floor. She bend down to pick it and accidentally hit her head on the counter nearby.

"Ouch, Are you okay?" she heard him say.

" Yeah..." she respond while rubbing her head.Why was he asking if she was okay, when all this was his fault she thought. It was because of him she had become this clumsy,if only he didn't affect her the way he did. She was on a mission to win him and then dump him.But the way it was going, it looked like she would never be able to outdo him.

"Well I want the opening to be big" he told bringing her out of her thoughts.

"Sure, I was just thinking we can probably do an article on the daily food section." She said strictly looking down on her papers.

"I think that will be great. I really want to highlight the Indian-Italian- Chinese fusion cuisine it just so new to Mumbai you know" he said while watching her flicker her pen.

"Ah yeah sure ...we could definitely do that...maybe we could do a cover photo with you with a beautiful shot of samosa and spring rolls...with pasta fillings or something" she said looking up as she finished her sentence.

"Samosa and spring roll?? He repeated

"Yeah "

He let out a soft laugh "you know nothing about food do you?"

Ishita stared blankly at how easily he saw through her words. He was sharp, her plan would definitely be a flop.

"Ah ...I..um...No I lied a little to my boss." She finally said "If you want to get someone else I totally understand" She added as she gathered the scattered paper on the counter.

"No no no." he said as he placed his hand on hers gently stopping her from picking it up . "I appreciate your honesty. Don't worry we'll get you up to speed. My partner, Mihir, he is the chef he'll show you a few thing around"

"Oh you guys are opening the restaurant together?" She asked.

"Yeah we're friends from under grad. It's my investment...you know I handle the business and he's the food whiz. He actually holds a cooking class every Friday" He said as she nodded. " Which by the way is today at 7" he added looking down at his watch "He makes me go so I'll appreciate him" there was a cute little annoyance in his voice.

"Bhai those lights aren't any good.How do I tell the difference between rare and medium rare under the amber lights !" Mihir hurriedly walked in easing the room up for Ishita.

"Mihir, this is Ishita the PR from the Marketing Firm and this is Mihir the man who made horrible first impression" Raman introduced the duo.

"Sorry I just have this OCD, ADHD blend going on in my head" Mihir said little embarrassed.

"He's working on it" Raman teasingly added

"So is my doctor. Nice to meet you" Mihir extended his hand toward Ishita.

"You too" Ishita said shaking in response with a smile.

"You got a really beautiful smile" Mihir complimented. "Thank you" she said as a slight blush crept her face.

"The lights will be fine Mihir... you just relax" Raman quickly interrupted. Something about their interaction had him jealous. As Mihir left, she also excused herself saying she will be back when she needs more of his input. Raman let out a sigh as he watched her exist. What was about her that had him feeling calm and relaxed he wondered? He smiled as he inhaled her fragrance once again before getting back to work.

Beautiful update..i love the meeting of ishra..elevator scenes are cracking me..puttar already in toughts of ishu..

Ishu is so nervous in raman presence,how she success in traping him...kaisai puttar ko usski jaal mai fasadai yeh?

Miku is thinking like me,revenge game started,i love her plans,but i dnt believe ishu bcoz she will flop the plan by her nervousness.

Puttar felt,ishita is not a stranger to him..oh shaggy,rinki,raina is there in this story.
Something is cooking b/w sharam..

Is sharam broke up?is raman not giving her chance in his life as his lady love tag?

Mihir likes ishita smiles,wow puttar is already in jealous with his best friend..samosa is cracking me..;-);-)now ishu and raman work together wow..
