i'll be visiting the forum because i love the writing here but once the leap happens, or more accurately once raman allows shagun back in his life, yhm ends for me 😭

I get your inhibition and frustration...frankly I'm protesting as I couldn't but..I'm not expecting a miracle that the PH is going to give in so easily as apparently that's how they roll. Sharam together will mark the end of YHM for a lot of us.

I saw a desi serial in 2009 for the first time. a family member warned that the first 100 episodes would start with a bang, the next hundred would do fine, then comes the slippery slide, by the time they get to 350 the show tanks or is shaky ground.

Seems that's how the PHs and SP like to go. They would be better off doing a 6 month tele novella and be done with it, that way the story telling will be crisp and viewers entertained.

Can't write much about the current scenario as it exhausts me and kills the little hope. I need to save it for tweeting et all. I want to say one thing though, I will fight till the end with others. When it is here, I quit. I can't make myself to watch any of the episodes from now on until we get some kind of official announcement as I can't control myself from thinking about the impending disaster.

This ALWAYS happens with EK and BT shows. I was a fool to assume that it would be different this time. I blame no one but me for associating myself with the show. Not entirely sorry because the show gave me many memories to cherish and above all friends for life.
Good luck to all of us and hope and pray that this will be salvaged. Will try to come back later with my thoughts about the disgusting, atrocious and abominable script post-leap. My fight is against that. I loath the idea and am appalled that people could come up with such abhorrent thoughts. I pity them. I am dismayed at their thought process. Also, feel sorry for the fabulous cast. Their talent down the drain.

I'll leave with this song -- Khudaaya from Shanghai

The lyrics describing our love for the show and searching for the YHM that we lost.

"Rehmat khuda kar zara, ik dafaa
Dil dene ka keh zara, falsafa
Ye naachiz ik chiz uski maange hai tujhse
Musafir ye dehleez uski maange hai tujhse

Khudaya tu bata, Kahaan uska pata; Pata kar
Main uske bina be pata hu
be pata, be pata, be pata hu
Khudaya tu bata, Kahaan uska pata; Pata kar
Main uske bina be pata hu
be pata, be pata, be pata hu"

nice song Hema..so apt.
now that I've experienced one BT show I'm done wth that production house no matter how awesome the serial would sound...as I feel they dont give a damn about the viewers or their product...they just pay attention to capture the audience attention in the initial months...once they get that they stop caring as they know it's difficult to get out of a routine of 6 days/week.
their TRPs stay in the top 10 shows ...thats ALL that matters.

Everyone has said everything I wanted to say. I love YHM. This is the first, the very first Hindi serial I have watched since its inception. I saw its promo, I was intrigued, I saw the first few episodes, and I was hooked.

Which is why this nonsensical twist, this leap, re coupling with exes who have humiliated and denigrated them, Ishita leaving the husband and child she has continuously sworn never to desert - this makes no sense.

I have tweeted and emailed and commented on Insta - futile? Maybe. It's just fiction, yes, I know that, I can just stop watching, yes I know that too. But I felt a connection with this show, with these characters. I have made friends through this show, friends I have never met yet whom I feel connected to on so many levels.

So thank you to YHM for giving me my soul sisters. For giving me over a year of entertainment and discussion points. For emboldening me to make public my penchant for writing cliche soppy romances. Thank you for the journey thus far, but if you makers will violate the very essence of the show, then my journey with YHM will probably end now. It will be hard, but how do you watch something you love being butchered.

Yet before I give up, because I don't like giving up, I will try. I have tried. And so yes Gan, I say yes to tweeting and protesting. For if you never stand up to be counted, how can you then protest against the death of your passion?

very well written Vee.👏 yes I have also gained a lot due to YHM ...for you it's your FF which btw have nothing sloppy instead are really well written (wish the cvs stole some from your stories 😉), we look forward to them as ,unlike the CVs ,you're true to the original character sketch of Raman and Ishita...for me it's been the courage to make a daily post with collages...i never knew I have that in me to open a post about a daily soap and keep up with it for so long...because I kinda get bored very easily doing the same thing...I believe it had more to do with the daily hangout we used to have...I miss those but I cant blame folks as there is not much to gush these days.🤢

@bold...that's the reason I'm into this tweetathon...for my own peace of mind that I tried to let them know how wrong it is.

@bold ...perfectly put...the reason we all are against this track

Thank you, Gan.

Oh I'm so sorry, I have been following your collage posts for a while and didn't realize until now that I hadn't introduced myself in your space😳 My name is Indu😊

I absolutely love your collages and write-ups!! You have such a great vision for making collages that capture the essence and emotions of the episode and characters, and your quotes and write-ups perfectly complement them. In fact, to be honest, your thread and all the fab writers here is what inspired me to create an account on IF and share my thoughts.

I think your post said it everything. This is the main reason why all are protesting.
Why should Raman go through the same pain again? Also Ruhi. Raman has found love in Ishita after bearing a lot and now when he is happy and has again started beleiving in love they want him to go through the same pain . Why?

Also Ruhi. She got the love of mother after 6 years.Ishita is the only person whom ruhi loves the most in this world. Also she trusts her blindly. We had seen the way ruhi behaved during that swapping track. She just cant accept that her Ishima can broke her trust.

And the makers want to show that only. Why?
Why dont Raman & Ruhi have the right to be happy and get the love of the person whom they love the most.

Rather than being angry with the spoiler,I feel very bad for Raman and Ruhi.

Gan I think you should send this to the makers so that they can get back to their senses. They should know that we have the solid reason for the protest and that we are not fools.

aww thank you so much...posts like these make my day 🤗

YHM started as a show for hope/ positivity that however bad past was..life always gives you a second chance to move on...but then they turned it into something so negative that we get one episode of good sandwiched between bad, ugly and worse...with the negative character getting upperhand in everything...it has been because of Karan, Divyanka, Ruhaanika as also the majority of the ensemble cast we have stuck with the show ...but this path if they follow is the last nail...as it goes against the very premise of the show.

@bold...I have done my bit...I tweeted the link tagging the relevant people...would they care to read and take notice? I doubt because according to the creative head of the show, most of us are fools..which probably we're for sticking with them while they have been serving one hogwash track after another.

Aww that pic... di im up for protesting. Der r some bonds which they show hav captured our hearts.. raman and ruhi my most favorite. I watch it for them.ruhaanika s a gift.my family used to tease me for having clips of yhm in my phone lappie and also i hav a seperate hard drive for it.. but nowadays they just leave me to watch. They came to know how much i love them. These ppl who r hell bent in destroying their own child,y cant they understand how much we love these ppl...they are making show for viewers ryt... if not let them watch for themselves. All bt tellys are going the same. Wats new in it. Spare yhm. Sorry for the rant... for their sadistic pleasure they r doing this. Cant they think that they are going to show a child's psychological trauma again.

Posting this from another place with some extra thoughts.

We were told this would be a mature show, and as pathetically sloppy last few tracks have been...we have put up with it & lowered our expectations bc the leads were one. They fought but they came back together.

Ishita using Subbu, a man who just recently called her out on her infertility, to "protect" Raman & her children from watching her go through chemo/dying is not mature.

Raman allowing Shagun, a woman who essentially emasculated him, near his children, whom she has manipulated & almost gotten killed more than once, is unpalatable.

Are women just a place holder to take care of kids? Shagun out, Ishita in, and then Ishita out, Shagun in?

Do families not deserve to fight a disease together? To build some final memories? Is it ever justified to hurt someone you love to "protect them?" Is it fair to take away the right to be there for your wife, whom Raman loves dearly?

The basic premise of this spoiler for me personally is unpalatable, and I've seen it before in a few other shows...so what's unique and is it necessary?

---

Now if the leap is more than 1 year - I don't get the point. It won't stretch the story. If they are hell bent on an ugly, pointless, self-defeating separation - they can do a short leap. reunion. filler tracks. Then a major leap. This could stretch their show at least 1.5 years in itself.

Seriously this seems like the dumbest decision ever.

And if they actually show the next C before the leap...then W*F is wrong with them? Maybe they want to give us a place to quit watching. I hate leaving things incomplete, but if they show the next C & go through with this sickening madness - then I have the perfect place to stop. My journey with Ishita & Raman will be complete & over.

I may keep up via IF but I have no desire, even for the cast which is my favorite, to stick around and actually watch. I was looking forward to an infertility track and seeing how Ruhi/Adi adjust, but now any excitement is gone.

So for the people protesting - thank you for sacrificing YOUR sleep, family time, work time, and mental peace for this show. While EK is off vacationing, you all are showing true dedication to a once beautiful show. It is absolutely disgusting to me that no one will give a definitive answer. 1000s of fans have given up so much & they don't respect them enough to give a straight answer. Are online viewers just to be appreciated when awards are around? Why can they not respect their viewers? It's pathetic to me.

I can only pray SP listens to everyone's pleas bc some people have given up so much for a show they hold dear. Yes it's a TV show but the initial story held issues dear to the hearts of many, so please stop ridiculing fans & respect their emotions & time by at least giving a straight answer so they can decide to continue or move on.

Krishy as always very pertinent post and the points you raised are in the minds of most. Why they are doing this is the most baffling part...probably the simplest answer is they dont care...so long as the TRP audience is happy with whatever is shown, they are ok as the channel only cares about that...unlike us who truly in the past 1.5 years have embraced each character of the show and got attached to them as we invested not only 20 odd minutes watching them but hours talking and analyzing each expression, dialogue or eye lock/touch...YHM is close to our heart...not the creatives' ...for them it's one of their projects which need to look decent to keep the job and the boss happy. And the actors have hardly any say in how the story or even their character will progress...

I'm protesting for my own peace...I dont believe we'll get any official word from the PH or the Channel...that's the way it works...they only need us to watch what they serve...what the audience truly want matters only when the TRP is affected.

Gan, I have also forwarded the link to this thread to some news channels that I could remember off the top of my head. I'm quite new to twitter, had created an account in 2011 but never figured out how to use it, this protest made me revisit and learn the basics of tweeting, RT'ing and quote-tweeting 😃

i am not being able to digest the fact that after making all the disaster at the end of the day ISHITA will be mahan who sacrificed her own happiness.
why cant they show female lead like a normal working woman who is a little bit selfish.
and at the end of the day raman will again be showing in "i am sorry" mood .
