Hi Gan, thank you for opening the thread n the collages. Sorry I could not post yesterday as I was so caught up at work that I had no time.
I was feeling so disconnected with YHM these past few episodes. I could not connect on any level. Even yesterday's episode I could not connect, until shalz n hema convinced me to watch. I watched the episode thrice, and the third watching finally broke through my apathy ! As shalz said I was letting the opinion of others and their hatred for a fictional character, affect my viewing pleasure. I was letting the hatred of random strangers affect my guilty pleasure of YHM.

Whilst watching the episode, the realization hit me with the force of a sledgehammer, Raman is madly, deeply, insanely in love with Ishita. When he was searching for her in the aftermath of the earthquake, through the rubble and debris, he was not searching for the love of his life, he was searching FOR HIS LIFE. If something were to happen to Ishita, Raman would be a broken man. He recovered from Shagun's betrayal, but he could never ever recover from the loss of Ishita. Hence his frantic search, for his love, his life and his reason to live. He had told Ishita, during their anniversary, before she walked into his life, he was just existing, Ishita, taught him to live.

It was the same for Ruhi. Before Ishita walked into her life, she was a child though loved by her family, missed out on the love of her parents. Her mother walked out on her and her father when she was six years old. She meets a random stranger, who was also a neighbor, and that stranger gave her the love, the affection, the attention that her little heart craved. Finally, she met someone who made her not only an important part of her life but the centre of her life ! Her Ishima, was her saviour and salvation.

The flashbacks that both Raman and Ruhi saw were poignant and heart rending. Their despair at the thought that Ishita could possibly be dead was totally heart breaking ! How could they both live because, if it were not of Ishita, there would not have been a bridge built between the father and daughter. They would have existed, but never loved each other the way they do now.

Finally, Ruhi opened Adi's eyes to the selfishness of their biological mother. His rejection of her was absolute and complete. I felt sad for Shagun. She lost her last hope. Aditya's feeling of guilt that all that happened to Ishita was his fault, though misplaced was completely understandable. That is how a normal person would react.

I am still not happy at the thought of Adi, addressing Ishita as Ishima, but I shall let that slide.

Now, for the amazing powerhouse performances. No wonder YHM wins awards. DT, KP, RD and the rest are just absolutely fantastic actors. KP portrayed the anguish and desperation of a husband perfectly. Ruhanika at such a young age is a real star ! When they show her standing and screaming Ishima looking up was the most heartbreaking sight !

Gautam is really improving, or maybe now that he is made to act like a normal teenager he is able to identify with the role and give his best !

DT as usual was amazing, the day before and though yesterday she did not have lots to do, her portrayal if lifeless person was spot on !

And before I go, I need to get this one view in. Everyone is always going on and on and on about female lead glorification, and Ishita glorification, everyone seems to have liked yesterday's episode. But did no one realize, yesterday's episode WAS dedicated to Ishita ! Ishita was conspicuous by her absence. But her presence was felt everywhere !The past two episodes, were 100% Ishita glorification episodes and yet people liked them ! How, why ? Has anyone pondered that point ?

Hi Gan,

Awesome picture depicted the whole episode in that one picture.

Once again big congratulation to the whole team of YHM in all departments it was beautifully done.👏
Special mention to CV they can deliver soul stirring episode👏👏. Hope they continue with the show like episodes like this.

I am not sure where to start

I will start with Shagun. AH acted so well👏👏. I never thought I would feel anything other than hate for her but today I only felt pity for her she gambled and lost everything in the process.

I always thought she wanted a hold on to Raman but she loved herself more so that is why she went in search for a better provider to accommodate her needs but she could not stand to see Raman falling in love with Ishita as she thought she will be the only person to hold his heart as it was the case until Ishita came into his life. She also realized that what Raman has for Ishita is hundred times stronger than what he had for her because Raman was young when he married her so fell in love with her outer beauty but with Ishita he fell in love with her inner beauty. The outer beauty is only a shell it can fade away one day as was the case with Raman.

Shagun was always jealous of Ishita because she took a broken man and put all the pieces back together to form a perfect live for her so she wanted to destroy Ishita as she believed because of her only Raman love for her was destroyed so she was trying to take the only thing that mattered to her rival the most was the kids but in the process she lost them.

Apart from her the next person she loved was Adi that was portrayed beautifully when the police takes the childrens to ambulance she only called out to Adi and not Ruhi. Ruhi anger did give a thought may be she did a mistake but It took Adi rejection for her to realize that she has lost everything which are precious in life due to her fault.

Shagun first hand saw what hold Ishita has on the family. How much her husband loved her and was frantically trying to find her. How much her daughter loved her she was shouting to get help from random people to save her mom. How much her son loved her that he would throw away the one thing that had been constant in his uprooted life. How much the family loved her that they did not even bother asking her why she took the kids everyone of them was worried for Ishita. Shagun finally realized the truth which Ishita said to her in the spa that she would give anything away expect her family as Shagun realized she doesn't have anything in life and Ishita has a family who is there to take care of her.

Coming to Adi. Kudoos to Gautham for portraying Adi👏👏👏 character so well. In the initial stages hated him, then felt pity for him, hated him, liked him and finally cheering him on now that he broke all ties with a witch.

Today it was a poignant moment for him. He was trying to be a big brother trying to tell his sister that she should talk to elders with respect but got a shock of his life when Ruhi told him that his mom left him in the fire and ran away. He enacted very well as of the kid whose heart had been broken by the person who he trusted most going into shock and trying to process the whole scenario.

In the ambulance he was still trying to process that is why he was quiet when the family came but once when he was with Rinki and the realization came for him that his true mother saved him he wanted to go out to find her and not sit in the ambulance. He was stating it was all his fault that she was in danger.

When they found Ishita and were taking her to hospital and Shagun came and told him that there are so many people for Ishita but she has no one would he not stay with her they subtlety and surety in which he said that she is nothing to him only Ishita is his Ishima was good because this is the same dialogue she used when they moved into the Bhalla house and to give Shagun a place in the family he wantedly took wrong medication to throw Ishita out of the house. Kudoos to CV for giving the same dialogue but with vast difference in showing that Adi has changed for good.

Gautham 👏👏enacted very well in this scene bringing out difference in both the scene in this one he showed he has accepted Ishita as his mom and the previous one showed hated for Ishita for the same dialogues from Shagun.

Coming to Ruhi,Hats of to Ruhanika for superb acting👏

Ruhi was the protective little sister guarding her vulnerable brother from a person who gave birth to them. Ruhi has accepted that Shagun did not love her but a corner part of the heart always was hoping that one day Shagun would reciprocate a small part of the love. She also believed that Shagun at least loved Adi but that belief also shattered when she ran away trying to save herself first. When Shagun come to see if Adi was okay she appointed herself as the guardian for him and shooed the hand which was placed on her brother saying to her that she doesn't have any value for them.

When her brother tried to stop her she explained to him what happened finally lifting the veil from her brother as to Shagun intentions. I liked the way how her eyes spoke volumes than what she was letting out. The final nail in Shagun coffin was she told the police she is not there mom.

Ruhi explaining to the family what happened was spot on as her brother was still in shock and processing about Shagun.

I liked the part where Ruhi found Ishita first. Once again I have to give to the CV for bringing in such subtlety Ruhi is the one who found Ishita for Raman first even though he married her for Ruhi but at the time hated her but now again Ruhi found Ishita for Raman this time around Raman is in love with Ishita so they have completed the circle starting from hate to love both times Ruhi finds Ishita for Raman playing the cupid.❤️

Coming to Ishita, Great acting by Diyanka👏 because it takes such acting skills to show that you are lifeless when in fact you are a normal breathing human being. She did not have much to do today but still I liked the her acting today.

Coming to Raman, Hats of to Karan.👏. There are no words for me to express his acting skills but still I will try.

Starting of the episode we saw a frantic husband searching for his wife. He was stumbling looking at each lady that may be that is his Ishita and hope dwindling when it was someone else. Looking at the corpse with dread and hope rekindling when it was someone else.

He portrayed the frantic husband very well. When the ACP said that Ishita may be no more my god the expression were bang on as he became a lifeless statue because without her he doesn't have a life. I really liked the flashback scene into the marriage because no matter you do it willing or out of compulsion my take on the marriage rituals is the rituals have their own sacred magic in them so he remembers her promise to him that she will not leave him alone during the pheres and comes out of the trance uttering no no no my god that was such a poignant scene.

Then again with renewed belief in the marriage vows he starts searching for her. ACP pulls him out from the debris as he was going into dangerous zone. It took ACP and Romi to hold him back but when he saw that his Ruhi was running into the danger zone he pushed both of them back and ran after her to save her. I really liked the way Raman modulated the voice when talking to Ruhi masking his terror that she should not be running into a dangerous area. It showed the father in him came first.

When Ruhi pointed out Ishita hand there was relief for a second in face and then he made sure Ruhi was safe and went to bring back his wife. The scene where he places his ears on her chest to hear heart beat stole the show for me and the hug with IshRaRu showed that they cannot be separated and I was going awe

The relief he found in find Ishita melted away when he could not detect any movement from her so he started calling her and asking Ruhi to wake her up forgetting he is the adult in the relationship and asking Ruhi to call her too because he knew that Ishita could not stand to see her kid crying at that point it did not matter to him whether she would wake up listening to him or to Ruhi or to anyone he just wanted her to be up.

The scene in the ambulance was good it showed a desperate husband asking the doctor why his wife is not breathing and then a father who masked his emotions to calm his daughter so that her mother can be taken to the hospital.

All the characters enacted beautifully but Raman stole the show for me.

Last but not the least three lives( Raman, Ruhi and Adi) are waiting for their soul(Ishita) to come back to them.

Touch wood the CV have delivered the second day too hope this continues.

I never thought I would write this long post but today episode made me see it as a whole package instead of a stand alone episode.

Very well said dear👍🏼

Where to begin about today's episode?

Raman: This man has lived through so much, and my heart constantly goes out to him. He battled his demons of insecurity and sheer hatred to find a beautiful life with Ishita and his children.

He saw his daughter rushed to the hospital, but couldn't give blood to her out of fear that he may actually learn she was not his. He saw the woman he married and respect put herself in danger the night of the riots, but he could only watch. He saw his wife, his friend, in a hospital bed from exhaustion, only to realize he knew nothing about her. He believed he lost his wife and daughter forever when he was told a woman and child were found in the morgue. He saw his son contemplate suicide. And now, this man was informed that the woman, who helped breathe life back into him, is lying under a pile of rubble.

Raman is incredibly flawed, but at his very core he loves passionately and deeply. To see him on the brink of loss yet again today breaks my heart but also excites me to see how he will help his family move forward.

Sort of related, but it's been on my mind for a while so I thought why not include it here. 😃...It may be futile, but I do wish that we will see a track focused on fatherhood or the role of a man in a family. Because we as a society need to celebrate both motherhood & fatherhood. The relationship between a child and their father is important, especially for young boys. When we as a collective society fail our boys, so it would be incredibly refreshing for this show to be a platform for that message.

As for KP - I don't even know what to say. This man is an actor in his own league, and sets the bar incredibly high for desi TV.

Ruhi: She's seen so much sadness and grief in her mere 7 years of existence, but she never gave up hope on anyone. But today, her biological mother has forever scarred her and unfortunately taken a piece of Ruhi's childhood with her. Ruhi is Ishita and Raman's daughter through & through. Every characteristic she possesses is from them. As they touched on during the girl child track, Ruhi may have been born through Shagun, but she was meant for Ishita. Ishita has always been a guiding light for Ruhi, and Ruhi has been Ishita's strongest advocate. Now this little girl, who has often been insecure about her family's stability, sees the pillar of the family in lifeless. That sight leaves a certain kind of scar in a child...

How is RD just 7/8? She is evidence that some people are born with sheer talent, and I truly hope that despite this fame, she grows up in a positive environment and continues to take the entertainment industry by storm.

Ishita: She was not present in the episode, but she was. This is what Ishita needs. For someone rejected by many on the basis of her inability to have children...to have unconditional acceptance and need from a family is more than healing. Raman, Ruhi, and now Adi complete her. She was a happy, confident woman before the Bhallas came into her life, but she was not alive either. Just like Raman was a living corpse for 6 years, Ishita, too, had no compass. Then Ruhi came into her life and brought Ishita this loud, boisterous, mistake-making Bhalla family.

Now the Ishita, who fought against destiny to capture the love and happiness, is fighting for her life, but she would be proud to know of the extensive network of supporters she now has all thanks to her daughter.

DT, while not in center stage, never failed to make her presence known.

Adi: My heart breaks for him. For 6 years, he treated his father like crap because he was told his father abandoned him. For 6 years, his family was centered around Ashok dad and Shagun, but then Ashok drifted away from Shagun and Adi was left to be the man in his mother's life. He trusted her and was willing to put his life at risk for his mother's happiness. Even being abandoned by her during the child swap, his love for her never lessened. He questioned his status in her life, but he never once stopped loving her. When he chose to live with the Bhallas, he still tried to engage his mother.

Now he has realized his mother's selfishness. Does he hate her? I don't know. Can he actually hate her?

GA has come so far over the course of this show, and it will be be wonderful to see him continue to flourish on screen.

Shagun: Today Shagun realized what her selfishness had lead to. Is she upset because she is alone or is she upset because she realized that she permanently damaged the one relationship that mattered to her? She deserves the rejection from her children for using them as pawns in her manic desire to get revenge, but I still felt something towards Shagun. I can't define it. Maybe it's pity that when she lost her life with Ashok, she gave up a part of her humanity to try to "survive." And when that didn't work, she gave up more of herself for "revenge."

I don't blame Shagun 100% for leaving Raman if she wasn't happy. I blame her for being callous to the poor guy and for poisoning her son's mind back then. But the loss she faces now is a result of her darkness and selfishness.

I find it so interesting that the one person she accepted her defeat to was the man for whom she gave up the life that Ishita now has.

This show shows the difference between a woman who can give birth and a mother who can give love, but I think that no matter what...Ishita and Raman will be grateful for Shagun. Because Shagun isn't a parent, but she was the one who allowed Raman and Ishita to become parents. What this says about a woman's ability to conceive...I don't know, but she and Ishita prove that just the ability to give birth doesn't mean anything.

I personally feel AH did a wonderful job today. I could feel her sense of loss, and while I don't know what I feel for Shagun...AH stirred emotions in me for this 'negative character.'

---

For someone who has been very frustrated with lack of delicacy on this show, I am so happy the CVs have tried to hit the correct emotions with this track. I don't know what the future of this show holds, but today and yesterday restore some of my faith in the CVs and more importantly restored some of my emotional attachment.
---

As for the acting, every member of the cast - leads & supporting casting were on point. When the story fails us, these actors somehow still make everything look beautiful. I am proud to be a viewer of this show for the sheer brilliance of acting.

The cast of this show don't just work as actors. They flawlessly breath life into fiction. I respect the sheer talent these people possess, and EK for having the eye to bring such talent together.

---

If anyone actually read this...congrats! 👏 I just couldn't help myself because for once in a really really really long time I feel really emotionally invested with this show.

Gan - I apologize for updating an atrociously long post before you updated, but I'm running a wee bit short on time today and really needed to write out some of my feels before moving on! 😳

Congratulation to you too for describing the episode so well
Thanks dear

Thanks Gan..Real emotional roller coaster this episode...what a bful set of collages & choice of words..appreciate your efforts..

Coming to episode it was one heck of episode...Emotional flowing from everywhere...sense of loss, grieve..pain...i dont know if everyone in scenes where actual living the scene..as it felt very real..at least their emotions...

Karan was superb today like divyanka in Thursday episode, Ruhi my baccha..you are too good..born actress⭐️..just cant believe how the kid was able to emote such grief and pain..i was feeling her pain right in my Heart..

Bravo to CV for showing the Grief, pain & horror of a husband loosing his Wife, also Again highlighting the Bound between Ruhi & her ishima..

I will confess like others i also felt some things were over dramatic..like only Rui seeing Ishita hand's & Ruhi escaped from Police and romi & Mrs. Bhalla went back & forth.. ...But YHM is Daily soap & thoda toh drama banta hai boss...

@Vee I agree with you ...last two days reminded us why inspite of the comedy circus we still believe in the potential of YHM...if few days ago someone had told me I'd feel pity for Shagun right after the episode where her selfishness almost cost the lives of her kids, I wouldnt have believed it...but yesterday I did feel pity for her. And like you I also dont get Karan's obsession to be another SRK...because from my vantage point..he's quite talented himself.

@nehaarshi09 : "hats off to cvs for showing the loss of life and destruction of a natural calamity" very true...

@umeirah02: Though I wouldnt say that AH stole the episode in acting over KP and RD...I would agree Shagun's plight was very relatable yesterday thanks to AH's best performance in YHM to date. A woman's fall from the pedestal she put herself in and that too by her own children...lowest point for Shagun's life...

@Anu:
The episode yesterday touched a chord with every YHM viewer because it delved into all the aspects of the main characters of YHM...and IshRaru moment and Shagun's moment of acceptance were the most salient moments for the episode for me...in the former the two people whom Ishita healed with her unconditional love was trying to revive and hold onto their lifeline:Ishita...while in the latter a woman who in her own quest to win everything for herself...stood all alone defeated in the hands of the ones who she's always taken for granted because she bore them...just fabulous writing, execution and acting!

@Vidya : "
the flashback to the wedding with the hint to his destiny and perhaps, he would have atleast in his mind accused his fate for incomplete love and life.
The father-daughter bonding became stronger than ever before in the desperation to save their most loved one. " -> loved this part of your post...very well put. Yes last two days have been a showcase of myriad human emotions backed by some powerhouse performances.

@fugitives123 : "Raman loves Ishita alot...and I was able to see and feel that love." and every emotion that Raman felt in yesterday's episode transcended the medium and touched our soul...that was how awesome Karan was in yesterday's episode! Frankly I have still processing the feels from last two episode..so haven't wondered where the story is headed...I just hope the brilliance that YHM team is capable of...continues.

@Becky: Loved your thoughts...yes that's what I felt too during the episode and especially when Raman and Ruhi hugged Ishita that to these two : this is their life...one person whose unconditional love turned their life around gave them the true meaning of living...and to have her gone...they wouldn't know what to do with it. I wrote in reply to someone that these two episodes have been pivotal to the the storyline as it took it back to the original premise of the show Nature v nurture...and though one lay buried alone somewhere under the rubble she was not alone ...and the woman who always thought Ishita could not live up to her...now stands alone...rejected by both her children...

@tvjunk : Yes it was an emotional roller coaster. About the over dramatization...ah well..like you said...it's a daily soap...you need a bit of that to move the story forward I guess...But we can all over look that when what is shown in the core of the story, makes sense...which the last two episodes it did...That to me is a winner.
