If the ACP knew the truth of Subbu - why didn't he open his mouth earlier?

How is Subbu's mom so lost?

Ishita thinks she can call Shaila Bua who is in London to find out the truth..

Everyone else has reached the court and they are about to go in when Subbu says shaadi nai ho sakti and everyone is surprised. He removes a paper and shows it to Raman saying, until they sign the papers. They are apparently custody papers of Ananya. Subbu wants to adopt Ananya first and then marry Simmi.
