Chapter-16
TERI MERI KAHANI
"Hypnotize...I just want to know everything and punish him. Use koyi stress nahin hona chahiye aur...pata bhi nahin chalna chahiye ki main us culprit ko harm karnewala hai." Raman hissed seriously at both the doctor bros for which they agreed.
(She should not be stressed or get to know that I'm going to harm the culprit)
The next one week was all about making Ishita mentally prepare to face her psychiartic treatment. Suraj successfully imparted a sense of confidence in her with the help of Raman. Still, it was Raman and his presence which mattered. She became nervous and phobic whenever he is not around.
"See Ishita...Raman won't ever leave you...and you can trust me and Ashok as much as you do with Raman." This is what Suraj chanted everytime Raman disappeared from her sight. She somehow accepted the fact and tried to move on.
A fine day. It was the fixed day for Ishita's hypnotizing. She was nervous is an understatement. Raman tried to comfort her with loving and reassuring words. She knows it is not a big deal when the trio is around but then, she was scared of Raman's reaction. She was settled on the thought that the brute is no more. But now that he is alive and Raman very well know that it is none other than Viraj, what will be the upshots!
Raman made Ishita lay down. Suraj asked her to breath calmly which she couldn't. The trio joked on her on the purpose of making her loose her tension. After successfully claiming her mind in a hypnotico Suraj began to dig the past trauma.
FLASHBACK IN ISHITA'S POV
Me and Shagun were so excited that day because Raman was in Mumbai for a conference. He promised me that he will tell me what is in his heart when he comes to meet me. I was so excited. So was Shagun. We planned a movie nightout and later a meeting with Raman in a cafe because he had only one night to spend in Mumbai.
After watching the movie we headed towards the cafe. It was past nine. Not so late, but I was scared. We had had a small fight with Parmeet which also made our mood go down. We drove past gloomy for misbehaving with Parmeet. He was no less though. Unfortunately Shagun's scooty's tire got puntured making me go panicky.
"Ab kya karun?" I asked Shagun. My face pale like a vampire.
(Now what to do?)
"Let me try a mechanic." Shagun said searching her contacts.
"Bhai se kyun nahin bolti ek car denekeliye..." I asked mockingly.
(Why don't you ask for a car from your bro?)
"Oye...car ya scooty...tire donon ko hai...!" Shagun mocked back.
(Tire is there even if it is a car)
"Haan...sachi...! But one thing I must say, tum sherni ho yaar! Tujhe dar hi nahi lagti!" I patted Shagun's shoulder.
(You're a lioness. You don't have fear)
"Haan so to hai." Shagun beamed in pride.
(Right)
Shagun kept on trying different numbers while a van stopped next to us.
"Lagta hai kuch gadbad hai..." I whispered.
(I think some problem)
"Jab tak Shagun tere saath hai...tujhe kuch nahi hoga. Tum meri hone vali bhabhi jo hai" Shagun assured me.
(Until Shagun is with you, nothing will happen to you. You're my to be sister-in-law)
It was then that three goons came out of the car wearing masks. I was scared and peeked at Shagun. She was doing something in her mobile. I had had trust on her that she will do something. But watching her face wearing a worried frown I lost it.
One of the goons clutched my upper arms and pulled me aside while Shagun kicked him from behind. She tired her best to defend in vain. Finally the other two goons who were standing as just silent viewers came in front. I tried to get out of the grip whilst Shagun walked backwards when the two goons dangerously closed in towards her.
I didn't expect one of the goons to pick out a gun and point it towards Shagun. I began to cry out loud but Shagun stayed calm and controlled. She gestured me to be silent by blinking her eyes. However, I couldn't.
"Shagun...ayyo...yeh sab...Chhodo...chhodo meri Shagun ko." I screamed gaining the attention of the two goons.
(All these...leave...leave my Shagun)
The one who was pointing the gun at Shagun started talking.
"Agar tujhe apni dost ko zinda dekhna hai toh...Jaao uske saath. Aur haan...palatkar mat dekhna..." He warned me.
(If you want to see your friend alive...go with him. Don't turn back)
I decided to obey the goon for the sake of Shagun. All this while I noticed Shagun calling someone. I guessed it might be Raman. I felt a little relaxed thinking that everything will be fine.
She called me from behind when I walked towards the car along with the masked goon.
"Mat jaao...Ish...Ishita...mat jaao...Let me come with you...I'm not that brave...I'm scared"
(Don't go Ishita)
I could hear the goon mocking at her saying, "Dekha kaise gayab hogayi teri dost...ab to tujhe kaun bachayenge?"
(See your best friend left you. Who'll help you now?)
She tried to run away from his grip but the other goon tied her hand from behind. She cried standing under the pointed gun.
"Aahh...chod do mujhe...How dare you touch me...ah..."
(Leave me)
"Teri yeh ankhen...yeh nakh...yeh gaal...yeh nakhre vali hoth..aur yeh gala..." the goon ran the gun over her beautiful face devilishly as if to choose the best place to pull the trigger.
(Your eyes, nose...cheeks...lips and this throat...)
Meanwhile the masked man pushed me to the backseat of the van. I tried to sat up straight. I didn't feel scared because that moment what I wanted was to make sure that I saved Shagun's life. Although it wasn't in me. When the van started moving I couldn't help glance at my Shagun through the rear view mirror.
***SHOT***SILENCE***
That son of a bi*ch shot her on her throat. Oh how much pain she would have felt. I felt the same. I screamed out loud watching the terrifying event in front of my eyes making me go freeze. I was too nump to react. My voice died in my throat. My vision blurry.
I could see the man sitting on the passenger seat removing his mask and glancing back at a dying Shagun. Shagun tried to word out something which I couldn't notice because my focus was to find who that masked man was. Before I could do anything further, I was conpletely unconscious.

FLASHBACK GENERAL POV
Shagun's eyes welled up hearing Ishita's shriek. She didn't have it in her to respond. Her throat was bleeding when she suppressed the cry by gritting her teeth. When she opened her eyes to watch on the direction of the moving van she got the shock of her life seeing the masked man removing his mask and revealing himself to Shagun. Shagun hit hard on the ground with her fisted hands while blood oosed out from her hollow throat as if from a dam ensuing to her raged blood pressure. She couldn't take in the reality that their "guru" did this to them.
Shagun laid there helplessly while the van fade away from her sight. After what felt like forever, Parmeet came there. He ran towards Shagun who laid on the street side covered in blood. He knelt down and kept her head on his lap. His eyes were flowing with tears of fear and shock. He asked her about the reason of it. He couldn't help but scream out seeing the blood flowing out from her throat when she tried to talk. She was unable to do anything.
He saw her mobile laying afar and took it. Seeing Raman's number he asked her about him. She nodded her head and signed him to message that place to her bhai. But Parmeet tried to pick her up in his arms to take her to the hospital. She screamed loudly to drop her down and save Ishita on top of her voice making the injury more deep. She took the mobile in her hand and showed a photo of Viraj to him with her shivering hands. Parmeet fisted his hands while Shagun fell into unconsciousness. He informed Shagun's whereabouts to her bhai by sending him a text. He was so horrified and started his bike to search for Ishita though hesitant to leave Shagun like that. He saw a smile creeping up her face through the rear view mirror. A smile of gratefulness and hope for her best friend.
Meantime, the masked man came to a bunglaw with an unconscious Ishita. He made her lay on the king sized bed and took off his mask. Looking at her defensless state he smirked. When she was almost there gaining her consciousness she looked at the man in front of her. Her vision blurry making him look like a shabby ghost. She could feel his presence beside her. Taking her hand in his, he caressed it a bit longer. When the needle plunged into her vain she was sure of one thing that she cannot do anything...anymore!
Ishita was laying unconsciously on the bed whilst Viraj kept on looking at her nude and wounded body. He was drinking and smoking seeing her sleeping in all her glory. He leaned over her and took her lips in a wild kiss. But she didn't respond. He was about to start a next round of torturous s*x with her in such a weak state. Anyhow, he couldn't do it as he heard the calling bell.
Parmeet rammed Viraj's collars when he opened the door and pushed him on the ground. There took place a fight between them smashing and thrashing each other. Finally Parmeet managed to hit his head with a metallic flower vase. When he fell down he ran madly inside the banglaw to find Ishita.
He closed his eyes shouting "Aahhh...Ish..." when he saw her laying nakedly. He took a duvet and covered her with it and tried to bring her back to senses. When he was immersed in calling her the devil came from behind and stabbed him. He yelped in pain making Ishita opened her eyes.
She felt her eyes so heavy that she took a lot of time to get back to reality. She could sense what all happened with her. She was'nt able to move. She could see Parmeet fighting with the man who ripped her off. But who is that? She couldnt see his face. But she could sense that Parmeet knows him and that made him react so violently. Above all, Parmeet really loved her and was unable to see her in such a state.
Parmeet's cries were what made Ishita walk up to them with the knife. She was feeling terrible ache in between her legs and where bleeding so badly.
Somehow she managed to sting the knife in to his body with which he stabbed Parmeet a while ago. In no time he fell on the floor and his blood covered him. Param knelt down and checked his pulse and found him dead. He looked at Ishita who stood there clutching on to the duvet; shyness long forgotten. He rushed to the closet and took out a shirt and pants. He waited outside for her to come out in the mens wear.
He scooped up a fainted Ishita and walked towards his bike to take her to the hospital. Travelling in a bike was out of the question for her. So he walked up to the road to get a taxi. Finding nothing, he walked to the nearby stop and called for a rikshaw. Finally an old man helped them reach the hospital. He ran to the causality with Ishita in his arms. His back was bleeding and he had lost a lot of blood already. Though he didnt backed off from his promise to his enemy; Shagun.
However, what they thought was not what exactly happened. Ishita stabbed Viraj
on his shoulder which made him unconscious and lose so much blood. When Parmeet checked his pulse he was not in his senses and Parmeet didn't give all his attention to Viraj's pulsating heart. When he got back hisconsciousness he scrawled and picked up his mobile. Dailling to his personal doctor he came back to normalcy in the next two months.
Viraj tried to contact Ishita but couldn't. Ashok did hide her identity from the hospital records to make sure that no one comes after her. He tried his best to make sure that she is safe. He was the one who suggested a change of place for Ishita with the help of Suraj to her parents. That was how the Iyers moved to Delhi leaving behind all the past shackles and making it completely impossible for Viraj to find Ishita's whereabouts.
He was on a mission to get hold of her like a psycho. In fact, he is a psycho. When he found the Khuranas he had a little hope that he could get to Ishita soon. Meeting Raman there was the last thing he wanted. He tried his best to avoid him but compelled to go meet his family. He was shocked is an understatement when he saw Ishita as Raman's wife that too in her fifth month of pregnancy. A kind of fury engulfed his heart and mind watching her closeness with Raman. She moved on so easily even after going through such a trauma. He couldn't stomach the fact that she doesn't care about her past. It did hurt his ego!
He didn't mean to hurt her though. He wanted to get rid of someone. Yes. He wanted Raman to bid goodbye from Ishita's life. From his and Ishita's life. All his plans destroyed the night Ishita hit the floor from his hands. He didn't mean to kill the baby or her. He can't think of losing her. But then, he could feel how much she got tensed and rigid in his arms. He could understand that she is getting to know the reality of her life. That he was the one who did that her. He couldn't understand why in the world she herself slipped off from his hands.
The succeeding week, he couldn't get a glance of Ishita and finally the night of realisations smashed him. That night he came to know about the truth that he cannot manipulate Raman to gain Ishita. He came to know that it is not only Raman but the whole Bhalla family know about her past. They are well aware that she is a rape victim.

"Let her sleep for some time. Ashok...common let's wait outside." Suraj said whie striding out with Ashok giving Raman the much needed space to adapt to the situation. The revelations made him go weak on his knees. He was struggling to drink in the sobs when Ishita explained everything.

AFTER THREE DAYS
KHANNA MANSION
It was a hectic evening owing to his unexpected conference. Raman was little frustrated for leaving Ishita in such a condition. However she was chatting and playing happily with the Khanna brothers. When Raman came in, he got all the more irritated seeing Ishita posing ignorance to him. Or is it his presence doesn't make any difference for her now?
"Ishita...I'm going for a bath." Raman said making a straight face.
The trio looked at him as if they saw a lion entering the living room. Shrugging off their confused stares he walked into the guestroom. Ishita looked on sheepishly while the duo coughed to get her back to senses. She felt embarrassed. But the gentlemen left her alone to plan and contemplating in the pretext of an evening walk.
Raman let the bathroom door ajar and let the shower water dip down his body by standing under it. Pressing his hands on the wall above his head he bend down a bit to breath in normally. His lips curled upwards when a pair of spongy hands hugged him from behind. He caressed the back palm of those soft hands lovingly while the sweet cherry lips traced his shoulders passionately.
"Ishu baby...don't play with water...!" Raman said sarcastically.
Ishita replied huskily after pushing him on the wall and pressing her body on him, "No darlooo...I'm playing with fire...!"
He pulled her by her waist making her towel loose a bit almost exposing her orbs. His face adorned a naughty glint making her tilt her head side ways. Her lips throbbing making him all up to make love to her. His hands moved up and down on her back in sync to the flaw of water making the furry clothe slip of slowly...slowly...slowly...!!!
