Chapter-14

BROKEN DREAMS


Her hand unwittingly clutched her stomach. She couldn't hold on as she felt her stomach weighing more than what she could handle. Her right hand gripped on to the railing weakily while the left on her tummy, her baby.


The mere seconds felt like eternity for her. Her blurred vision darkened in no time. She fell down from there calling out his name on top of her voice.


RAMANNN...!


Viraj came there to take some water and looked towards the direction from where he heard Ishita's voice. He was frozen to see Ishita who was about to fall down. For a moment he felt everything going blank. He didn't know what to do. Her shrieking voice calling Raman was that broke the nightmare. Raman came rushed out from the room meantime Viraj hasten towards Ishita.


For his relief Raman saw Viraj putting his arms around her waist completely taking her weight on him. But what should be happened should happen...no matter what! Raman touched his heart sighing a relief but saw Ishita shrugging Viraj's hands outraged by some unknown terror. In no time Raman watched on helplessly her falling like a lost and lifeless leaf on the floor.


*THUD*


Viraj looked on horrified at the turn of events. Raman stood there like a stone not being able to move a bit. Mr and Mrs Bhalla came running to a bleeding Ishita who was laying there unconscious.


Viraj looked at Raman with a sorry face but he looked dead. Dead to the core seeing the night terror. He felt his whole system melting to nothingness. Viraj walked up to Raman to bring him back to reality. When his consoling hand touched his shoulder the bottled up tears flowed down his cheeks while he hugged Vuraj tightly. The only thing he repeated all through his hiccups was "Why did she...?"


From then everything happened so fast. No one had the time to cry but rush to the hospital. Ishita's family came there in no time. They couldn't bear to see Raman's fragmented countenance.


"Kya...kya hogaya dha Raman kanna?" (What had happened?) Amma's voice brought him to reality. He just hugged her and cried in her arms not finding words or voice. Viraj came to stand behind Raman to make him relax while amma gestured him to say what happened. Everyone were curious because they were oblivious of the reason behind Ishita's fall.


"Voh aunty jab main..." (That...when I...)But Viraj's words broke by Raman's enraged hollering.
"Jo hua so hua! Ab voh baat karne se kuch nahin ho sakta! Mujhe uski saath hona chahiye dha jab mujhe yeh achi tarah pata hai ki use kisike bhi touch se darr lagta hai. I should had been there for her!"

(What had happened just happened. Nothing is going to happen by saying about that. I should had been there when I know that she is scared of some one else's touch)


"Lekin voh kyun kisike touchse darogi?" (Why will she scare?) Vadita's voice broke the trance where hewas drowned in. Ashok's interference helped him escape the situation.


"Raman I'm sorry toda late hogaya"

(I got a like little late)


"It's...ok Ashok. Tum bas use dekho...She isn't responding." Raman said miserably.

(You just see her)


A lady doctor came out of the Operation Teatre. Before she could say something Ashok asked her to follow him inside. Everyone looked on to the door counting each second to see if the door gets opened.


After ten minutes which felt like eternity Ashok came out dejected. He informed the family that he couldn't do anything about the child because it died the moment she fallen down.


"It was a baby..."


"No...please...don't...don't tell me...don't...!"Raman asked him throbbingly. He couldn't hold on. The moments they shared after her pregnancy was so lovely and heavenly which made him cry loudly. He sat on the waiting chair. He looked at his hands which felt the movement of his unborn baby few hours ago. But now...it is over. His baby is no more!


Ashok put a hand on his shoulder which he shrugged off dismayed by the upshots.


"Ish-shita...use phirse kuch..." (If again something...)He asked horrified while the family looked at the duo bemused.


"I promise you Raman...is baar use kuch nahin hoga. Trust me" (Nothing will happen to her this time) He reassured and went off.

Two weeks passed in a blur after Ishita's operation. She didn't spoke a word but screamed out loud whenever anyone tries to meet her. It was only Raman who was allowed to meet her.She neither screamed nor talked to him but looked on lost while he nursed her. He tried to talk and bring normalcy between them but she remained silent which made him worried.


He was scared of a state where she goes back to her old self. She had walked past that phase lately and now she is going back to the same.


"Ishita...baat karo mujhse...tum...kyun aaise kar rahe ho...?Don't you love me? Mujhse baat karo..."He shook her vigorously without being able to hold the pain anymore.

(Talk to me. Why are you doing this to me? Talk to me...)


She crushed him in her arms crying out her worries while he dug his head in her heart. She patted his back soothingly but tears smeared her beautiful but pale face whilst he tried to breath normaly.


"It was a baby girl..." Her voice came out as a mere whisper. He tightened his grip around her and mumbled miserably, "Mujhe nahin jaanna dha...I didn't want to know...it hurts"


"Meri vajha se dobara ek ladki...voh bhi apka khoon..." Her words trailled off.

(Again a girl because of me. That too your blood)


He broke apart and cupped her face. Kissing her teary eyes he assured her that it is ok. And it is all a plan of God. Something bad happens to clear the way for something good. She fisted her hands feeling scared of something. He tried to calm her down while she shivered in his arms. While trying to make her sleep he couldn't help but cry on his fate. But all his questions and worries cleared the moment he heard Ishita's sleepy words.


"He...is not dead...voh zinda hai Raman...voh...jisne mujhe...rape...Vir...Viraj...Viraj...Raman...voh...Viraj..."

(He is alive...who raped...me..Viraj...he..Viraj)

Very very sad update Ishra lost the baby girl😭😭😭 the reason she was save and agin she let her self go off cause of Viraj get hold of her.she talk when sleep about the rape and voic Viraj name should I belive he did that. Caust you are twist queen so I better wait for next update. Thank you for update I just wait eagerly for this baby part but now I crying because of you not save baby.😭😭

Someone promised me 5 updates by 4 am 😡
