The episode was sorta balanced tonight though as always it is too much to hope and expect from our show or any Indian show for that matter to delve into the matter of PTSD - our protagonists can encounter death in a 1001 ways and nothing can ever scar them enough, traumatize them to give them nightmares or flashes or anything - kids or adults alike sigh... I so would love for a show to show the aftereffects of something this catastrophic this scary on Indian TV, for once in my lifetime hopefully...
So life will move on as usual it seems in the Bhalla and Iyer clan except that Shagun wont be around for a while as the families inadvertently keep meddling with the love life of our poor couple and their kids, plural now, take up the job and responsibility of being cupids.
I am glad at least that we saw that lovely IshRa scene tonight - the hug was everything expected and more, Ishita seeing that Raman is so scared and still reeling from the shock of almost losing her tried to cheer him up first with a joke but when even that failed she did the only thing that would have worked and did as she hugged him, letting him know she was safe and in his arms and never leaving him, letting him hear the steady beating of her heart to assure the truth of it, such a sweet and lovely moment there Glad it wasnt interrupted else it would have pissed off a lot of people, namely the entire audience.
Shagun should have been arrested however since we always need villains around and the show clearly believes in the funda - the more the merrier when it comes to them, she went away scotfree... so while Shagun' chapter got a pause now it definitely isnt over. I dont know why I was even expecting a thank you from her to Ishita for saving the kids, but alas that didnt happen and I am disappointed and also not surprised at the same time...
Perhaps now we will see a more focused Shagun, a Shagun who would take care not to hurt her children, at least NOT directly when she plans her next move which she will - her entire focus will be on Ishita and it remains to be seen what the transformed Shagun is like and capable of, since she would be sharpening her claws as she licks her wounds in this brief period of absence.
Lastly it was good to know that while Subbu is away the track hasnt been kept entirely on the backburner in his absence and so not out of the audience' mind - the scene between his mom and Vandu shed a light on another aspect of Subbu' marriage - that his wife would have been unable to give him another child post the delivery of their son due to complications at the time of her delivery which perhaps arose due to her negligence while she was pregnant.
A few episodes back when Ishita mistakenly picked that diary up Subbu had mentioned the sob story of Lakshmi miscarrying their second child and hence slipping into depression - we knew it was a load of crap then but this just confirmed things.
Lets see when the sisters talk about this and what happens when they do, if they do that is...since this should ideally make Ishita suspicious of Subbu, which is conducive for Simi and Ananya' sake.
Not to mention that this development makes me feel there' definitely more to this than meets the eye as no woman would purposely be so negligent while carrying a child that it could harm her baby in any manner whatsoever - Subbu it seems to me was the husband from hell for poor Lakshmi...the only question is when will we see things for what they were really and why is Sujata unaware of things if her own daughter was suffering with her husband, plus how did Subbu manage to brainwash her into this revenge from the Bhallas plan if his wife and kid really did die in a plane crash. 😕
