UGLY! UGLY, UGLY DRAMA!!
P.S. Can Ishita please stop saying "Main koi abla naari nai hun" to herself and to Mihika, that she is no abla naari...God...her actions dont match the grit in her words...grrr
Not one minute of today's episode was devoid of drama...not one
Pehle toh, it started off with Shagun, trying to incite Mihir, by saying he should finally celebrate, as he's gonna get freed of this forced relationship...blames Ishita and the Bhallas for his current messed up state...That Raman aise hi maar-peet karne lagta hai...that he should ideally DIVORCE Rinki...Mihir, I mean...I fail to understand this guy... itne dinon mein ek bhi din usne Rinki ko ek roommate se zyada nai samjha...and today he goes, "Shagun...MERI BIWI Rinki aur Bhallas ke baare mein kch bolne se pehle das baar sochna..." and am like, HEIN??? He warns her not to behave this way, else she might lose him forever...
Chalo, I was certain...ki AB BHI woh dimaag se kaam lega, and he'll prolly do some damage control since he loves his Raman Bhai and the Bhallas so much...but wat about Rinki? We'll come to that later
Wahan, Toshi and Simmi are howling over Rinki and questioning her ki "tune humein pehle kyun nai bataya?" "Tune Raman tak ko nai bataya"
And then, Rinki, angry, frustrated and hurt...starts speaking gibberish, ki "Sab toh apni life mein uljhe huey hain...mere baare mein sochne ka waqt kise hai" "Bhai mujhse pyaar karta hai...par woh bhi kya karega? Woh mujhe wapas bhej dega Mihir ke yahan...mere life mein pyaar hai ki nai, iski kisiko kya parwah" Moreover, it seems she didnt tell the Bhallas since she didnt want her family members to drown further in shame of having two divorced daughters idling away in their mayka...I dont blame her..Knowing how idiotic Toshi she, she might just start beating her chest and cry foul "Haye haye, mere teen teen divorced bacche!"
By this time, Raman is back in the house and overhears the last bit...and charges her...ki how could you think like this? Have I not done anything for you? You and Simmi are not a burden for me...you can stay here all your life...but Marriage is a lifelong commitment...think before you do anything...
Rinki: Aur pyar ka?
Raman: Theek hai phir...mat ja wapas...maine tujhse zyada duniya dekhi hai...iss pyaar ke chalte maine apni zindagi barbaad ki hai...meri kismat acchi hai ki mujhe doosra mauka mila...Main Mihir ko acchi tarah jaanta hun...woh kuch bhi karega lekin tujhe khush rakhne ki har koshish karega...
What I dont get is - Alright, Raman is the eldest of them all...and almost liek a father figure and trying to make Rinki understand and all of that...but then WHY does his relationship with Mihir cloud his judgment of Mihir as a MARRIED PERSON with respect to Rinki? I mean, the same person can have different equations with 10 diff people no? It seems no one is interested in what Rinki has to say...and I kinda get what she's saying...she isnt like many other women who will put up with a marriage just coz its sacred and eternal and all of that...she has genuinely accepted Mihir has her husband, partner..her soul mate...but since Mihir still has feelings for Mihika and will prolly do so all his life, it looks insincere and disrespectful to Rinki to stay on in a marriage where her husband is physically with her, but mentally and emotionally with somene else...and I truly believe, marriage isnt a charity...u either commit to it wholeheartedly..feeling it in evry pore of your being...or you dunk it in the ocean...for good..and move on...you dont carry on a farce coz a hundred thousand people in the world are doing so...
Mr.Bhalla tells Rinki Mihika is outside to speak to her
Oh god...EVERY BIT OF TODAY'S EPI WAS JARRING...

Outside, Mihika tries to apologize to Rinki...but Rinki sunne ke mood mein nai hai... she rebuffs her, "Stop it Mihika..sab khatam ho gaya hai"
In the meantime, Mihir arrives and sees Mihika standing with her hands folded, requesting Rinki to let it all go
Bbas...AUR DRAMA...He marches in and tells Mihika, she doesnt need to be sorry...its not her mistake
This angers Rinki even more... "Dekha aap sabne...ab bhi mujhse zyada fikar Mihir ko Mihka ki padi hai"
I admit...NO WIFE WILL LIKE IT. And Mihir...sweetie...unintentionally, you messed up a lot of things...
he comes over and asks Rinki what happened...she finally tells him, how two days ago he came back home, drunk...and started blabbering about Mihika...And then, she thundered "MAIN TUMHARI BIWI HUN MIHIKA NAI"
Mihir had this coming...for a long, long while
He tries to come up with some lame, "Mere ek kamzor ghadi ko tum iss tarah pakad logi Rinki.."
I fail to understand...HOW AND WHY did a sensible guy like Mihir not rack his brains and try and understand why Rinki left the very night he came home drunk, having had a spat involving Mihika hours ago? WHY? What kamzor ghadi is he talking about?? He's been having that weak moment since Mihika revealed she never married Ashok coz she was a gold-digger, but coz she was doing something noble for him

But for once, Mihir realised his mistake...and sincerely apologized to her...that he would never hurt her...he will never fall weak ...And then Rinki counter argues, ki you said you're feeling guilty you married me...and people usually say the truth when they're drunk...
he's making these promises...and that's fine...but what about love? He will commit to this marriage...but his heart will be with Mihika all his life...what's the use? "Jab Mihir ke dil mein meri koi jagah nai hai, toh main uske ghar mein rehke kya karun" LOVELY...š I like it...ki for ONCE...A female character in this show is standing up staunchly for what she truly believes in...
yes...marriage isnt a joke...but no use nibhaoing a marriage just coz society dictates it to you, while your heart is clearly with someone else...
And I will not agree if somone says Rinki should try and settle for less. No. She shouldnt. She deserves the best. And if her husband isnt capable enuff of it for whatever personal reasons, then she might as well be separated from him. Why drag this compromise on and on? Its disrespecting to her and her partner and the marriage!!
Anyway, Mihir apologizes...Ishita tries to defend Mihir...saying he's a really great guy and will never cheat on her (KYA ISHU...SEEDHE CHEAT PE KYUN AA GAYI)..But then Rinki looks clearly disturbed...she isnt convinced
"Shayad aap sahi keh rahi ho..but shaadi mein pyaar bhi toh zaroori hai...Mihir kisi aur ko chahta hai, toh meri chahat ka kya?"
And with that, she leaves the scene and goes back up to her room
And then...starts the REAL DRAMA
Raman...at the outset asked Mihir to get lost..never show his face again.. "dafa ho jaa" to be precise
Ishita tried to intervene, stating that Mihir is feeling sorry...and apologizing... Raman asked her to shut up as well
And then - Tumhen maafi maangi chahiye kyunki yeh sab tumhari wajah se hua hai...kisne kaha tha tumse Mihir se bheek maange ke liye ki woh meri behen se shaadi kare...meri behen ki zindagi abhi kharab hui toh tumhara jo hashra karunga woh tum soch bhi nai sakti..
AND THIS WAS SAID IN A FULL-BLOWN, THUNDERING VOICE
WHY RAMAN WHY? Barely MINUTES ago you were professing your undying love for your wife...promising her the moon and stars...promising to take care of her feelings and all...and now THIS? WHY DOES HE ALWAYS YELL AT HER IN THIS UNCOUTH MANNER IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY/ WHY?
Toshi and the others tried to intervene...but by now, Ishu is shocked...and reduced to tears...she says - bolne dijiye inhe...el galti ho jaati hai toh bas saara ilzaam mujhpe aa jata hai..bina soche samjhe kuch bhi kehte hain
Raman and she continued to bicker...Mihika tried to intervene, Raman asked her to shut up
I: Aap meri behen se aise baat nai kar sakte
R: Bahut pyaar aa raha hai na apne khaandan pe, toh apni behen ko lo aur dafa ho jao yahan se...
HE ACTUALLY SAID THAT??š” I was thinking it was a plan between then and what not...but what tHE F WAS THIS??! And he's recently acquired a company and all huh? Is this how CEOs behave? Is this how gentlemen talk? To their wives, least of all?
He then tells Amma to take her daughter away...Aise kaun baat karta hai apni saas se yaar/ I WAS APPALLED...
Ishita fumes - Main kahin nai jaaungi...yeh mera bhi ghar hai...
Raman - yeh tumhara ghar THA...Ab nai hai...
WAT THE??? YEH KYA HAI YAAR? WHO TALKS LIKE THIS TO THEIR SPOUSES
And it didnt end with this...to demonstrate he clearly MEANT every word he said - he gestured...showing Ishita the door and said "OUT...OUT OF MY HOUSE...OUT" š”š”
I cannot BELIEVE Raman said that...NO WOMAN SHOULD LOOK AT A MAN'S FACE AFTER THIS KINDA BEHAVIOUR...IN FRONT OF EVERYBODY ELSE, NO LESS...

Instead of acknowledging his family's responsibility in the whole situation, he squarely blames his wife and asks his wife to get out...??!! SUCH SEXIST BEHAVIOUR...

As Ishita is busy crying in Iyer house, vowing to herself sh'll never forgive him (really, the precap doesnt seem so?)..and Iyers are mulling over what to do next...the doorbell rings...Appa goes over to the door excitedly, thinking its prolly Raman

Anyway, Subbu asks her what the matter is - Ishu lies and says, she's come home to spend sometime with Amma since she would soon get busy with Vandu's delivery...Appa and Amma all looked WEIRDLY at Subbu
Later, Shagun cmes over to meet Adi and Ruhi...OBVIO NOT...Aayi hai yeh dekhe ki aag kahan tak faili hai...disgusting...Raman tells her off, and asks her to visit the kids and leave...not to interfere in his family matters
And then? This wretched woman says - Yeh mere bhai ka bhi sawaal hai..Rinki ne use bas puppet ki tarah use kiya...aur yeh sab kiski wajah se hua? Ishita ki wajah se...yada yada
She'd have kept her nonsense going, had Adi not arrived in time
Toshi, who was sitting in the couch witnessing all of this realized Shagun might create a huge problem...and decides she'll have to d something about it
and then wat does she do? OF COURSE...SHE GOES AND PLEADS WITH ISHITA "Meri beti ki shaadi tootne se bacha le Iishita" Toshi kitni selfish hai yaar??? She should've first hit herself with a frying pan for being such an idiot...
And Ishita..doesnt even bat an eyelid...says "dont wory Mummy ji...main yeh rishta itni jaldi tootne nai dungi"

When Shagun was busy regaling to him, how she's gonna use her own brother to create problems between Raman and Ishita...he seemed least amused...he in fact, looked APPALLED that this bitch was willing to use her own brother and ruin his marriage for HER GAIN,,,anyway, he asked her to focus on the plan and not bore him with her family drama

P.S. Why is it that the CVs cant leave Raman's character UN-tarnished for a good FULL MONTH? From "Aaj se aisa kabhi nai hoga" he goes "GET OUT OF MY HOUSE?" Its like...they gauge that our feelings for him have started overflowing and decide to bang the gavel on our heads
He is my fav character in this show and it pains me immensely to see this kinda behaviour...really...
P.S. And if they're planning to turn Lambu into the Monk Who Sold his Audi and his leftover brains and metamorphosed into a saffron-clad pious chap, then we might as well have a romantic angle explored involving him and a new fresh character...It will be fun WATCHING Ashok fall in love...it'll be an effortless SITCOMš
