In this video they say that shagun will learn of ishita's past with subbu she meets subbu n tells him that ishra dont shsre any relation of wife n husband they are just friends

after that subbu feels he hss a chance n that ishita still loves him

so he meets raman n emotionally blackmails him to leave ishita

Looks like their assumption but I won't be surprised if it turns out like this. Subbu if turns negative will surely use this fact (not consummating the marriage) against Raman. I guess Priya Ray also hinted that previously.
