That was enough for Ishita. She was shell shocked. She didn't know how to react to this situation. She had become numb...completely numb. She was finding words to speak. She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out except a gasp. She felt her legs giving away, and *Thud* She fell

Raman turned to witness the shocking sight. She dropped his phone and ran towards her. He sat down near her; lifted her head, placed it on his lap and caressed her face

"Ishita...Ishita...wake up.. Ishita"

He lifted her up in his arms and made his way to her room. He dropped her on the bed and rushed to the dining table to fetch a glass of water.

He sprinkled some drops of water on her and waited for her to open her eyes. After about few minutes,she opened her eyes bit by bit and found raman seated beside her

She got carried away of what he had told her earlier and sat upright and moved herself away from him.

Raman "Arrey,Ishita you woke up?"

Ishita "I don't wanna talk to you"

Raman "But why?"

Ishita "Kya karu? Shall I run? No... He'll catch me. I don't even know anything here properly"

Raman "kuch kaha tumne?" [You spoke something?]

Ishita "nahi...haan... haan.. woh " [no...yes...yes...that]

"Bolo" [speak]

"I'm going... I'm not your Bhabhi"

"bhabhi..." It striked to him of what he told her earlier

She ran throughout the room fumbling some words in tamil whch raman guessed was a sound scolding for him. She was picking her scattered things and packing it. He tried to stopped her. But she was ISHITA... stubborn enough to continue her work.

He held her by arms and shouted "Listen to me". She struggled to be out of his clutches

"Chodo raman.Leave me"

"I'll not. Listen to me"

"Ab aur kya baaki hai bolne ko. You have told me everything" [What else is left to speak?]

"No I haven't. Ishita listen... I was...umm... well I was lying Ishita" he released her

"What?" she caught her head "You lied?"

"Well yes. I just wanted to lighten your mood"

"By almost giving me a heart-attack. Cool... I appreciate your style of so-called stress buster"she told in a sarcastic tone

"No actually you were scared of that lift incident and I just wanted you to come out of it"

"Yeah! Coming out of it and getting into another one.."

"Arrey yaar. I told you I just played a small prank on you"

(My note: Even I played a prank on you. Hope you'll forgive me)

"Prank... Raman pranks are played. I agree, it gives us lot of fun but...but it should be done at a proper time"

"I know"

"And?"

"And I'm sorry...really I meant it. I didn't at all think that it would hurt you to such an extent"

"who was on call?"

"Oh him... That was my school friend. He is coming here"

"Here..as in?"

"Here.to meet me"

She gave him a look and walked out of the room.

NEXT DAY

Raman woke up and shouted "Ah"

"Why are you shouting ? Bhoot dekhliya kya? I'm Ishita" [Did you see a ghost?]

"Tum yaha kya kar rahi ho meri room mein" [What are you doing in my room?]

"Who...aapke liye coffee laayi thi" [I had brought coffee for you]

"Kyu" [Why?]

"aap pe phenk ne ke liye...kyu matlab... coffee se log kya karte hai" [to throw on you...what do people do with coffee?]

"Kya karte hai?" [What do they do?]

"Normal log isse pee the hai.Aap ho..normal?" [normal people drink it.Are you?]

"What doubt in that...hoon main normal"

"Then take" she handed him cup of coffee and sat beside him

"Tell me on thing... why did you get scared seeing me?"

"Oh that. Suddenly I saw you so..."

"Darr gaye aap" [You got scared?]

"Waise I'm sorry for yesterday"

"Oh that's fine. I forgave you long ago"

"Itni jaldi kaise?" [This much quick?]

"Oh actually I just thought about that whole night and then realized that you just wanted to make me happy. You didn't have any intention of hurting me. So, I thought of forgiving you"

She that he hadn't drunk his coffer yet and told "It's not poison.Drink it"

"Oh.." he sipped his coffee

"accha laga" she asked [Is it nice?]

"nahi...bahot accha laga" [No..it's very nice]

Weeks passed by and Raman and Ishita's friendship grew stronger. They were now each other's best friend. They used to help each other in their works and supported at times of need. The bond they shared was unnamable.
