Quite a few interesting developments and moments happened tonight. So as promised earlier I am here with my take on the episode.

Subbu turns out to be a widower who has also lost his child in an incident a few months back. The obvious question is why his mom was so unaffected by the loss. She was still the mean bitch we have known her as in the recent baby shower ceremony of Vandu', a woman who lost her grandchild was still being such a harpy?

Unless she never cared about her grandson and her DIL was only a baby-making machine to her who also happens to be loaded that is really a huge thing that I hope the CVs explain sometime in the future.

Right now the precap scene just is very ambigious, since we dont know if in the follow-up if Raman discloses to Ishita that Subbu is a widower now who has also lost his child. If he does Ishita would definitely feel sorry for him - what made Shagun alone was her own deeds but at the moment given the story thats been disclosed Subbu lost his family in a tragic way but if he doesnt it remains to be seen how Ishita learns of this fact which she is bound to at some point.

Also we have seen what a brief glimpse of less than 30 seconds we dont know the before and the after so hard to tell at this point.

I thought she wanted to stay Shagun is the mother of your children so you need to respect her but it came out as that...
or it's some mistake of dialogue writer
or may be In Ishita's view Shagun is akeli & bechari...you see in the starting too she empathized with Shagun more...like how difficult it must be for her to leave her daughter and go...

Yeah the role reversal is interesting. Also I believe it makes sense you know, when Ishita asked Raman to be cordial with Shagun and let bygones be bygones she was thinking about his kids, with the animosity between their parents Ruhi and Adi were bound to suffer, she wanted him to take them into consideration cause nothing can change the fact she is their biological mother and watching your parents fight is never a good thing for any child. But with Ishita the case isnt the same... she chose to move on in her life and get over him but to forgive him is an entirely different matter. She chose to forget and not forgive because thats not so easy...just the forgetting takes so much time and energy itself in such cases.

Also the break-up scene has him with his back to her, he didnt even have the deceny to face her while he made her feel like she was worthless and good for nothing for something beyond her control.

Subbu and Shagun have only one common trait - they deceived their partners but otherwise so far they are very parallel to each other, so it makes no sense to compare Raman' take on her past and Ishita' take on his.
