tt454641... Someday I Hope to produce a
Show This good for Indian TV 10years
down the Line if Audiences Mature !

Some one plzzz tell YHM cast n the makers that the audiences have become mature they are demanding something mature. Only if the CVs understand this and stop shoving illogical tracks down our throats. So plz stop blaming the audience for all the nonsense that the CVs are showing. Even the audiences are fed up. Change will happen whem the makers change their mindsets and stop running behind the TRPs.

Sorry friends for the long rant. But trust me i am really fed up... but i am unable to give up YHM altogether bcoz of the acting prowess of not just DivAn and Ruhanika but becoz of the talent and acting skills of the entire ensemble cast. Anita, Sangram, Shruti, Pankaj,Raj, Mihika, Shireen, Shenazji and our little kiddo Bhavesh( shravan). OMG.. !! what a cast if we ponder. The best ever on Tv. Only if the makers realise this and make the best use of the gold mine of talent and come with a story line that does justice to the terrific talent they have..!!

Well sorry i can go on and on with my rant. Sorry once again for a looong one.

I totally agree with you! Right now they say the "social media" audience is much smaller than the general soap viewing population, but they never gave the general soap viewing population a chance with their original product. Plus they ran away a large chunk of their modern, urban viewers with the silly drama of the last 6 months. So why should the blame fall just on the audience?

Clearly a mature audience existed for the show to get such good TRPs at the 11 pm slot, but to "expand viewership," they changed to 7:30 & changed their mechanism of storytelling.

All the positivity and subtlety was left at the late night slot, but before they were nice enough to give us glimpses. Now we just get forced OTT drama.

I respect RSA's intentions with the tweet, but you only get what you perpetuate, and their show is currently perpetuating regressive notions, sterotypical & OTT execution of otherwise good tracks, weak leads, and everything else that is seen in almost every desi show.

Someone has to try to shake the boat and that's what Balaji promised YHM would do. The show did accomplish this in the first 200-250 episodes, but then decided that for more viewers, they'll go down the same old gissa pita route without even bothering to change the soch of the general populace.

Plus they broke the trust of their original target audience, whom RSA hopes to target. Now why would anyone risk investing in an Indian show when one of the most unique shows many fell in love with was brutally ruined for TRPs?

So I hope he gets his mature audience some day, but if no one in the industry tries to break the trends, then the audience will never have a real chance to appreciate true intentional television.

Thank you sooo much. You explained my feelings in more concrete terms than i myself did.

I have a request if some one can plz tweet this thread to Raj or someone else frm the YHM cast or makers... it will be great. Let them also get a hint that the audiences are mature enough now.

Awe thanks! I felt like I rambled there, but I'm happy it's along the lines of your thoughts! I don't have a Twitter anymore or I would've tweeted this myself!

Indian TV has a lot of potential, but it is stuck in the rut of sterotypical drama and very few PH appear to want to take a risk. It's reasonable about why they don't want to, but Balaji could've been the best vehicle to bring about change bc it is such a large & well funded organization.

I would love to get the perspective from the other side because at least from our experience with YHM, money apparently beats quality any day.

I have stoppped watching YHM the day shagun snatched Ruhi from Ishita. I just come to forum to check the WU. It seems the story is getting duller say by day. Its hard to find any interest in the storyline now.
Somehow just to make the show running they are coming up with illogical twists

I tweeted the thread. Actually i don't use twitter much. After 4 failed attempts to tweet the thread i finally figured it out, and have at last tweeted it.
