Come on Ishita! You can do it! I told myself.
I hugged my new found sister-in-deed for all the help I got from her, took blessings from Mummyji, got Good Lucks from Mihir and Abhi setting off to conquer PAY BACK SLEEPING OFF THE WEDDING NIGHT MISSION.
I drove to his office. As I entered the confines of his office I remembered my last visit to this very place when I was on an Avoid Talking and Continue Ignoring Spree. I felt remorseful about the silent tantrums I had been throwing at him and spoiling his plans of a perfect romantic date.
The memory of that day definitely increased my guilt but at the same time I was more determined and enthusiastic about making this a special day for him.
I just hope everything goes as planned and this visit of mine will be surprise and not a shock for him.
"Hi I am here to meet Mr.Bhalla" I told the receptionist
"Sorry Ma'am! Mr.Bhalla is not available for any meeting today" she said ever so politely
"Actually he is here to meet me" I said
She checked me out from head to toe. Looks like she was not convinced with what I said as my appearance definitely did not match with that of a client.
"Ermmm Mr.Bhalla is waiting for an investor" she said
"Yeah I am the one he is waiting for"
"Are you sure Ma'am?"
"Yes I am"
"Ermmm you are sure Ma'am?"
"Yes I am! Now please call Mr.Bhalla and tell that I am here" I was irked with her behaviour. Who was she to stop me from meeting my husband? I wanted to tell her Mind your own business! but then I controlled myself.
FYI Ishu! She was minding her own business. That's her job and she is doing just that!
Whatever! I don't care...
All that matters to me is that I want to meet my husband. I haven't seen him since our wedding.
Ok...I saw him this morning but then I was in a sleepy state and then the guilt trip didn't let me look at him properly.
"You may go in Miss?"
"Its Mrs" I said showing my chooda and the mangalsutra
"Oh Mrs?" she asked
"Ishita Raman Bhalla" I said shrugging proudly and her jaw dropped to the floor
With a huge smile, I left her alone to recover from the surprise (shock) she just encountered and walked towards my permanent destination My husband😳
I knew he must be waiting impatiently for the client to get back home as Abhi had briefed me rather teased me about Raman's desperation to be with me☺️
So I entered his cabin without knocking on it.
I appeared determined and confident but within I was a bundle of nerves.
The look on his face said that he was pleasantly surprised which made me happy.
But the way his gaze traveled through my entire frame made me nervous.
No doubt I was wearing his favorite dress of his favorite colour, yet I was scared if I fit into his imagination of me in this dress or not.
I have disappointed him in many ways until now, I didn't intend to do that anymore.
A smile of contentment appeared on his face after a while and I rejoiced as my first attempt of MISSION PAY BACK SLEEPING OFF THE WEDDING NIGHT was successful!
"By God Bhai tujhe dekhenge na teri tareef me poori book likh dalenge."
Simmi's words rang in my ears. You were wrong Simmi. Kahan tum poori book likh dalne ki bath kar rahi thi aur yahan tumhare Bhai ne meri tareef me apna moo tak nahi khola. Bas besharmon ki tarah ghoore jarahe hain aur pagalon ki tarah muskura rahe hain. Maana ki unhe achhi lagi hogi isiliye muskura rahe hain par moo se kuch to bolna chahiye na I mentally communicated my disappointment to her
"Rath ko jo nahi kiya bhai tujhe dekh ge abhi wo kar dega."
"I doubt ke aaj sara din Bhai tujhe kamre se bahar aane dega bhi ya nahi"
"Teri sari mehnat bekar honewali hai. Dress choose karne me tune itni der lagayi usko utarne me bhai seconds bhi nahi lagayega."
Kya tu chahti hai ke meri ye wali bahvishyavani sach ho? I heard her telepathic conversation.
Nahi nahi...aisa hua to mere poore surprise ka pachka hojayega...I conveyed to her through telepathy
Raman's POV
Uhu Uhu the sound of coughing brought me out of reverie.
"Ishita tum yahan?" I asked walking towards her
"Apko yaad hai aapne mujhse kaha tha ke jab bhi mujhe kisi cheez ki zarurat ho to mujhe yahan aana chahiye?"
"Haan mujhe yaad hai" Why was she reminding me of that conversation we had 2 days back?
"Aapne kaha tha ke no matter what aap mera sath doge"
"Haan kaha tha. Par..." I started to raise a doubt but she stopped me midway
"Kya aap bina koi sawal kare mera sath doge?"
"Haan par hua kya..."
"Shhh..." she said keeping her index finger on my lips and then extended her hand towards me
"Kya aap bina kuch kahe mere sath chaloge?"
Did she just say that!?
