Chapter 7:-

It was the day of pongal as well as lohri. N since the reddy's are iyer's elder daughter's in laws, they were forced to call them for pongal despite of the fact that subbu vl also come with mr n mrs reddy, bala n vandita n their son shravan who is 4 months older than ruhi always running n walking. All were sitting in living room. Subbu's wife was also there who was pregnant. Bala, vandita, ishita n mihika were in one group. Nalini ( subbu's wife ) was also there. She doesn't about subbu first marriage n ishita also doesn't interfere thinking whatever happened was not her fault. So she behaved very well with Nalini. She also requested vandita to be normal in front of her. And vandita being one of the iyer daughters was so.

B: Sali sahiba, sunne mein aaya hai ki aapko employee of the year ka khitab mila...

I: bilkul sahi suna aapne jiju... after all mai hoon he itni intelligent... toh milna toh tha he...

N: congrats ishita...

I: thanx nalini...

V: waise nalini tumhe pata hai... ishu toh college mein bhi top karti thi...

N: are waah... Ishita itna dimag kahan se laati ho yaar... Mai toh bachpan mein books dekhkar bheyosh ho jaati thi...

All laugh. Just then Subbu enters

S: kya baate ho rahi hai...

N: kuch nahi bas hum sab ishita ki tareef mein lage hai...

S: ohk...

Mihika after seeing him was about to leave when ishita held her wrist and conveyed her that it will not look good if she will leave like this. Mihika reluctantly agreed. Then the whole group was called by the elders. Mrs. Reddy was purposely taking extra care of nalini to show off ishita and to show that she will never get this care from her in laws. Ishita first feels a little bad then mihika signs her to ignore this. Everyone was sitting in the hall when Mrs. Reddy purposely started a conversation...

Mrs. R: are madhavi ishu beti ki shaadi k bare mein kuch socha hai tumne...

N: haan yaar ishita... its been a long time ki ghar mein koi function nahi hua ...teri shaadi k bahane mujhe badiya party types khaana milega... Inn cravings se mai pareshaan hoon...

I: are nalini tumhe party types khaana chahiye na ...no problem mai tumhe treat pe lekar chalungi sirf hum dono..

N: done...

I: aur koi nahi chalega humhare saath...

Mrs. R: are dekho yeh ladkiyan bhi baat ko kahan se kahan le gayi... madhu tu... Nahi tu chhodh... Mr. Iyer aap bataiye ishu ki shaadi ka khyal hai...???

Mr. R: are tum kya... Chhodo na...

I: nahi nahi uncle its ok... waise aunty shaadi ki kisko jaldi hai... Abhi toh career bhi banana hai ...puri life baaki hai...

Mrs. R: phir bhi ek bar umar nikal gayi toh kabhi wapas nahi aaegi...

I: aunty meri umar, meri shaadi, aap tension mat lijiye...

Mrs. R whispers in Mr. R ears... "dekha kitni battameez ho gayi hai yeh ladki." But Mr. R shushed her.

The conversation was going on full swing with some indirect taunts from Mrs. R to ishu but everyone ignored it. Mrs. R was going to give one more taunt when Raman came and said...

R: are ishita chalo aaj walk pe... Nahi... Jaana... kya...( the dots between the words represent the pause in raman's words)

R: Namaste, aap sab...

I: are raman... aap aa gaye... mai bas aane he waali thi... Akka jiju chalo... Shravu ko bhi le chalo

B: lekin kahan...

I: are chalo toh...

Outside iyer house...

V: ishu yeh kaun hai...

I: batati hoon... relax pehle shravu chitti k pass aao

Shravan climbs in Ishu's arms. Ishu makes Ruhi and shravan handshake. The three were aware of Ishu's love for kids. So they were just watching the smile on her face. Just then Mrs. R called Bala, Vandita along with Shravan, so the three went in. All this was observed by the great Subbu, and obviously he was awesomely jealous... Shakal dekhne layak hogi... Raman asked Ishita...

R: Ishita yeh kaun hai...

I: (was about to say when she sees Subbu observing them, so she just said) batati hoon, pehle yahan se chalo, neeche chalet hai...

R: haan chalo...

Downstairs...

R: toh ab batao madam... kaun the who log... (giving ruhi to ishita)

I: akka, jiju, unka beta, and her in laws...

R: ohk... lekin tumhari akka k in laws aaye hai toh hum neeche kyun aaye hai...

I: hmmm... Actually woh dekh raha tha...

R: kaun...??

I: Subbu...

R: Subbu... Ab yeh kaun hai yaar...??

I: jiju ka bhai...

R: are waah Jhansi ki rani... tumhare jiju ka bhai tumhe chhup k dekh raha tha toh yeh toh achhi baat hai na..(with a wink)

I: Raman woh shaadi shuda hai..

R: le... shaadi shuda ho ke tumhara jiju ka bhai tumhe dekh raha tha... chee chee...

I: Raman who sirf jiju ka bhai nahi hai...

R: toh...??

R: oh sorry... ishita mujhe sacchi nahi pata tha ...m really sorry...

I: Raman aap kyun sorry bol rahe ho... aapki galti nahi thi...

R: waise aaj raat ko lohri mein aap sab ko aana hai pata hai na...

They were about to continue with their conversation when they say a car entering and three men coming out... Ishita saw them and ran away towards them. She hugged all the three. And three kissed ruhi's forehead fondly.

One asked: yeh kaun hai...

I: are maine bataya tha na... Ruhiii...

Second said: haan haan yaad aaya..

I: waise ab aa rahe ho tumlog ...itne late...

Third said: are mat puchh ishu... yaar itna traffic na... pareshaan ho gay eek dum...

I: koi tension nahi ...amma ne bahut saara achha khaana banaya hai... tum sab ki saari thakaan dur ho jaaegi...

All this while, Raman was a mute spectator, he was quite ...hmmm you can say... jealous... that who the hell were these with whom Ishita was so comfortable... Just then he called...

R: ishita kya hua...??

I: are tum log chalo Raman se milati hoon... Raman yeh sab mere school and college friends, Rohan, Abhimanyu and Arjun... Aur yeh Raman ...Ruhi k papa...

Ro: toh aap hai raavan kumar...

I: rohan shuuu...

Raman glares Ishita... Ishita has her eyes closed.

R: raavan kumar... Puri delhi ko nahi bataya...

I: sorry woh...

Ab: are leave this... ishu chal upar kya kar rahi hai neeche... chal na

I: ek kaam karo tum log jaao mai aati hoon..

Ar: aati hoon kya aati hoon... chal na..

I: nahi Arjun mai nahi aa sakti...

Ar: kyun nahi aa sakti..

I: actually upar tum logo k liye 1 surprise hai... Toh tum log jaao...

Ro: aaha ha... Surprise... toh chalo...

Ab: chalo...

After sometime, the three came back... all in frustration...

Ro: kya yaar ishu ...aaj k din toh baksh diya hota...

Ar: wahi toh...

Ab: pura mood kharab ho gaya...

I: hua kya...

Few minutes back...

The 3 were climbing upstairs. They stopped just outside Iyer house.

Ar: yaar kya surprise plan kiya hoga ishu ne...

Ab: god knows... bas itna soch lo ishu nahi aayi hai toh kuch khatarnak hoga...

Ro: haan yaar... Kahin aisa toh nahi ki madhu aunty ghar pe nahi ...aur humhare pongal ki daawat chhoot gayi...

The two slaps his forehead ... saying bhukkad

Ar: tujhe toh sirf khaane ki padi hai...

Ab: abhi bakwaas band karo aur chalo...

And they turned to leave. Just as they turned to leave, what they made them screamed together ..."aaahhh"... And she was none other than Mrs. Reddy.

Mrs. R: are beta tum sab yaha... Aur mujhe dekh k chilla kyun raho...

Ro: (faking innocence) aunty... Woh aap aise achanak se aa gayi na... toh hum sab darr gaye...

Ab: haan

Mrs. R: chalo koi nahi mujhe laga ki kisi chudail ko dekh liya...

Ar: (muttering under breath) chudail se kam thodi na hai yeh (only audible to Abhimanyu and Rohan)

Mrs. R: beta kuchh kaha tumne ...

Ar: aah nahi aunty... meri itni himmat jo aapse kuch kahoon...

Mrs. R: khair... rohan beta tum yahan kaise...

Ro: Aunty mai yahan... haan shu se milne aaya tha...

Mrs. R: achha achha... Waise subbu bhi aaya hai... Mai abhi boolati hoon...

Mrs. R always used to that maska lagana to Rohan for Subbu's tarakki and promotion. Subbu comes and Mrs. R left...

S: hi guys...

Unison: hi

S: tum sab yaha kaise

R: bas aise he...

Ar: achha yaad aaya..abhi chal na neeche chalet hai...

R: haan mai bhi chalunga...

S: haan toh chalo mai bhi chalata hoon...

Downstairs...

I: hahahaha... lekin ek min tum teen...

Ro: usko ek phone aaya toh wahi attend kar raha hai...

Ab: waise Mr. Raman aapko sharam nahi aati hai...??

R: kyun...??

Ab: are itni sexy girl aapki padosi aur aapne abhi tak chance nahi maara ispar...

I: abhi shut up...

R: kya bakwaas kar rahe ho... yeh aur sexy...??

Ro & Ar: oye (literally screaming)

I: yaar please ...ruhi darr rahi hai...(holdi her head like protecting)

Ar: ohk sorry...

Ro: lekin Mr. Raman ...

R: first of call me raman

I: (commenting) sirf raman...

Raman stares Ishita remembering their first meeting.

Ro: haan toh raman... kya bakwaas kar rahe ho ...iska new year performance yaad nahi hai...

R: haan who toh tha he kuch alag... (winking at ishita)

Just then subbu enters... making ishita a little uncomformtable, which didn't go unnoticed by the four... But raman was the most affected...

S: kya ho raha hai...

R: tumhari shaadi ki planning...😡

S: but I am already married...

R: toh kya hua phir se kar lo...😡

S: teesri bar ...nahi baba nahi...

This comment by him generated anger in raman... Like he did a favour by marrying ishita and each and every girl is behind him...

S: anyways, tum sab ko aunty upar bula rahi hai...

Ro: haan theek hai tum jaao... hum sab aate hai...

S: are kyun 7 mein chalenge...

Everyone was silent for obvious reasons... especially ishita... something pricked in raman's heart and then he started a conversation...

R: so Mr. Subbu tum karte kya ho...

S: richlife finance... junior executive...

R: le... tumse senior post mein toh ishita hai... Haina

I: raman please stop this...

Everyone was enjoying this so thought of continuing it...

Ab: oye ishu kya stop it... sahi bol raha hai... Subbu office mein machhar marte rehte ho kya...

Ar: god knows...

Ro: what god knows... tu bhi toh same office

Ar: haan toh tub hi toh same office..

Ro: are mera cabin to 100 kos dur hai... Lekin tere cabin se perfect dikhta hai na...

Ar: mujhe mere kaam se phursat mile toh na ...

I: guyz stop it... or chalo amma bula rahi hai...
