Chapter 45

Next morning when raman was abt 2 leave for his office after having breakfast, romi came up to him and requested him to plan something so that he and sarika cud have some time together outside the house. Raman smiled and teased him but romi was no behind and said that he did not mind if mummy, papa and even kids go wid them for an outing while raman and ishita cud have their private time at home itself.

Raman was totally game for the idea after listening to romi's suggestion and if that was not enough romi provoked the kids and simmi and rinki too to request raman to plan something for them. Raman just said-" ok let me see , I will call u in sometime." Saying that he went to bedroom signalling ishita to come after him.

When she entered the room and happily chirped abt how wonderful it wud be to spend time wid family after a while , raman pulled and held him tightly against his chest and said-" sab jaayenge ghoomne but main aur tum nahi. Isliye jab bhi I tell the plan just say that u have work here and u can't go."

Ishita started her ifs and buts but raman shushed her mouth wid his hand and said-" arre yaar tumhe samajh mein nahi aata I want to be alone wid u. jab se we have come here ,hardly have we got any private time together and this is our golden chance. Bachche bhi sab ke saath khush rahenge aur ek din hamein bhi mil jayega akele, next day se toh waapis us routine mein jana h I hai so wats the problem?"

When ishita tried to say anything further , he got irritated and said-" tumse zyada unromantic aur boring biwi maine toh nahi dekhi ab tak , jo mann mein aaye karo jao poori paltan ke saath ghoomne main yahan akele enjoy karunga , kuch bhi karunga and I will not owe any explanations to u samjhi."

And he left while ishita who was used to his anger just smiled to herself and got happy thinking how desperate raman was to spend time wid her. She had already decided to stay back but was just teasing raman and she cud nt wait 2 see his expressions when she announces to stay back. She also made a mental note to ask him what he meant by enjoying akele here? What will mr bhalla do? She thought to herself and then picked up her bag and went to clinic as it was gonna be a hectic day for her after long.

By afternoon raman had chalked out a plan to send family to farmhouse on outskirts of delhi and made arrangements for their one day stay. He called up home and told them that they will leave early next morning and be back by late night the same day or next day morning. Everybody was excited especially the love birds- mihir-mihika and romi-sarika and kids excitement was on another level altogether.

Raman was though a bit upset as he thought ishita will also be going but his ego did nt allow him to say that he wud also join in. when they met at lunch later in afternoon at home , he was surprised when ishita told everybody that she had appointments the next day and cud nt manage to cancel them so she will stay back wid raman. Although romi understood his bhabhi and winked at her , raman refused to believe that she was staying back for him and he muttered to himself-" zaroor patients hi honge warna paagal madrasan mere liye kahan rukegi, huhh boring Jhansi ki rani." Ishita knew her husband was exasperated but she decided to play along and confront him at night.

Rest of the day passed by busily for both ishita and raman and when raman came back home at night , he saw faces of all members being solemn and tensed and he dreaded that something bad had happened and he immediately asked ishita-" ishita kya hua? Sab itna pareshan kyun hain?"

Ishita did not say anything but silently took raman to toshiji's room where the lady was lying down looking pale and tired and raman was immediately worried as he had hardly seen his hale and heart mother bedridden like this. He asked wid concern-" kya hua maa ko? Ishita kya hua inhe? Subah toh theek thi?"

Toshiji tried to cover up saying-" oh kuch nahi puttar who pammi aayi sin a toh thoda excitement zyada ho gaya aur kuch nahi."

Ishita interrupted and said-" nahi mummyji aap toh bolo hi mat bas." She turned to raman and said-" mummyji fainted in kitchen dis evening, sarika called me up and I ran up to come here wid doctor who checked her and said she had a mild anxiety attack and she had been taking too much of mental stress which is nt good for her at this age. Waise chinta ki baat koi nahi hai par doctor said she needs to be happy and eat well. A change of scenery wud do too."

Raman was shocked to hear this abt her mother and somewhere when ishita held and squeezed his hand he understood what had been eating up his mother, yes it was his indifference to her. He had always been most loved by his mother in all his siblings and at that point he too realized that he also loved his mother a lot and had been too harsh on her in past days. He stepped forward and sat down beside his mother saying-" chalo koi nahi kal toh jaa hi rahe ho aap ghoomne aur waise bhi hum punjabiyon ko itni jaldi kuch nahi hota , kyun maa?"

Toshiji was happy to see her son back and just said-" oh haan haan puttar main change ho jaungi."

Raman just wiped his tears and hugged his mother saying-" sorry maa shayad zyada ho gaya meri taraf se , aap ne galti ki par I think bohot saza ho gayi aapke liye, ab bas."

Toshji was ecstatic and ishita too and mother-son duo just hugged and sorted it all out in minutes. As she turned around to leave, ishita saw aadi standing there and witnessing the whole scene, then he started moving back and ishita followed him and stopping him said-" aadi wait.. I know tum soch rahe honge yeh tumhare saath unfair hai par beta.."

Adi cut her in between and said-" nahi nahi jo papa ne kiya I deserve it totally aur dadi ki galti utni badi nahi thi so papa ne aaj bhi sahi kiya hai unko maaf karke. I will wait 4 d day when papa will forgive me, he will na one day ishita aunty?"

Ishita was stunned to see adi behaving so maturely and just said-" yes he will adi , he loves u a lot and I will also try my level best for u two." Shocking her even more , adi hugged her and she hugged him back. Raman was shocked and pleased to see that scene but he moved to his room not saying anything.

Later that night in the room as raman was standing facing the window in deep thought , ishita came behind and hugged him from back telling him-"aapne sahi kiya raman mummyji ko maaf karke , she deserved it. Aap apne aap ko guilty mat feel karna ab bas."

Raman smiled thinking how she got to know everything even before he said anything and just said,-" I know ishita, thank u for being wid me." He then tried to get in his ravan kumar mode again and sarcastically said-" and thank u madam kal mere saath nahi rahogi uske liye bhi." Ishita knew he was getting angry and she just said-" kisne kaha I will not be wid u , aapne suna nahi maine kya kaha, I am not going."

Raman pouted like a child and said-" haan toh appointments hain na tumhare clinic mein, mere se kya matlab."

Ishita held his face and pulled it from chin telling him-" and if I say ki koi appointments nahi hain toh?"

Raman eyes became big and shine came back to his eyes as he said-" matlab tumne jhooth bola? Jhansi ki rani ne mere liye jhooth bola? Really can't believe my luck today."

Ishita moved even closer and said-" haan jhooth bola , sirf aur sirf apne raavan kumar ke liye, aapke saath rehne ke liye.khush ab?"

" bohot khush" he said and hugged her tighter and she playfully said-" waise aap itne excited kyun ho kal ke liye , u know we can't be together in that sense as if now so karenge kya akele poore din mr bhalla?"

Raman now got serious and passionately brought her face close to his and in a husky voice said-" who nahi kar sakte toh kya hua ishita , we can do a lot apart from that so just wait, watch and 2moro feel what I do." His eyes darkened wid desire and butterflies started fluttering in ishita's stomach and she blushed crimson and said-" ok wait karungi kal ka mr bhalla." And getting her chance escaped to lie down on bed though she knew excitement and nervousness of what was to come next day won't let her sleep tonight.while raman just chuckled that he finally got ishita to herself for an entire day and hoped to make most of it.
