All those gushing over iyer weddings let me tell u what happens when you marry an iyer guy from a different town and have to leave in 10 days to US.
You do sumangali prarthanai,go to atleast 5 temples and do abhiskekams etc etc , then have another reception, then have to go to atleast 10 houses for lunches and dinner , in between ur husband would have squeezed a honeymoon for 2 days where u sleep and are a zombie.
then u shop for US, then you miss ur parents and cry and then they come to send you off and everything is a blur 😆..

and yes u are a walking talking zombie and have to get up at 6:30 to the sound of suprabatham and take a shower before 9 and look presentable 😡.

and so the entire flight i slept 😆😆😆 and all i remember from my wedding is changing sarees, my dad crying my husband singing tumse milke from parinda for nalangu and my family completely switched sides ( he is a better singer than me :-()
SoSy wedding and post wedding i am sooo enjoying more and yes my kids i will enjoy more for sure

Anu thats insane to do in 10 days!! I had 2 and half days but i was gonna come back to India 20 days so I didnt have USA things to pack, But I was a zombie, with so much going around.

yup .. it was really insane so insane that to tell u the truth i didnt enjoy my wedding .. i enjoyed my sons upnayanam so much more ..
I had no control on anything in my wedding 😡 jaise a doll and my husband felt the same so it for me was like 2 grown up people living the whims and fancies of what other people want atleast my husband was mature enough to enjoy himself because he knew this is it..
i was actually sulking 😆 and angry that i had to wear sarees i hated wearing sarees i am too much of a tomboy for that .. now of course i wear and feel its all grace and all but then it was a symbol of my freedom going 😆
