Logged on to watch the slap-a-thon but what I got instead was the OTT drama that leads to the slap-a-thon. Completely forgot that Shagun's exit should also be dramatic and she just can't go away in a puff.. it has to be nonsensical, illogical OTT with drum-rolls to kick her out too..

The other day I was cribbing about how the kids are not part of the wedding and that they are not shown.. today I am glad that the kids are nowhere in the vicinity.. good thing they decided to give their bua's shaadi a miss.. nahi tho kya kya dekhna padtha!

Amrita makes a BW style entry screaming Nahi, with a smirking Shagun right behind her. Amrita, shows all concerned the necessary docs to prove her case, which is checked and verified by Mr. & Mrs. Raman Kumar Bhalla. Phir dulhe ki dhulaai, and dulha's bidhaai to the nearest police station along with his 3 and a half family which forms the dulha's entourage. Enter Shagun with her vitriol of screaming, screeching, all-roads-lead-to-Ishita blaming spree.

Many social messages were delivered today.. kudos to cvs..some nayi soch?

1. Ensure that proper background check is done before arranging marriages (I thought we all knew it, but whatever).

Just because dulha is from phoren and happens to be your best friend's nephew doesn't mean a thing. Don't come under any pressure from the said best friend and aim for a quickie shaadi cos, yeah as the saying goes, you get to repent in leisure.

2. When doing the said background check, ensure that some reliable sources are used; not the daughter-in-law's junior- at -college-can't-even-call-as-a-friend who "happens" to be a friend of the groom and "happens" to live in the same country as the said groom.

3. When marriages don't take place please ensure the party to be blamed is the right one, the one who defaulted and NOT the girl. Everything that goes bad cannot be attributed to the girl / bride and just because her marriage is halted doesn't mean she doesn't get a fair chance at life.. [This is really a good message .. bravo👏]

4. Bachelors beware about attending a wedding. You could be the "chosen one: and end up being the groom if the original dulha defaults or bails out!!

5. On second thoughts bachelors go dressed up... it just might be your day [sic] And you wanna look good in your wedding pix.

6. DIL's don't mind your MIL going ballistic; keep your calm and shed a few tears. After all they are like a pendulum; they might strike you when they swing out but they will always swing back towards you. Patience..

7. Men's role in a family is SSOOO Overrated. They usually are stunned by the turn of events that they all are like statues - or rather like a deer caught in the headlights. They twitch or act affronted but at the end of the day they are silent spectators. They usually are standing around wondering - to speak or not to speak and how do i get out alive from a naari-samaaj-free-for-all?

8. Miya biwi raazi ho ya na ho, it just doesn't matter... kyonki shaadi honi chahiye.

9. Kaafi hai na? ya aur boloon?😕

And a few general remarks:

Shagun not only twitched her eyebrows but also had her eyes open during her dialog delivery! (its also known as screeching really, but in her dictionary and that of the CVs, that is dialog delivery and that there is acting too. If you don't believe me try to screech with your eyes open.. nahi hoga na? I told ya.. that's great acting!)😕

When Ishita was walking towards Mihir the back ground music was almost "divine" (I use the word, as this is the kind of BG score in devotional movies when GOD is about to strike.) Sahi hai, after all Ishita is the Savior of Bhallas , so I guess they got that right. She takes a decision and its all for the good.. no need to ask anybody else.

Tomorrow, I guess we are in for more screeching and Romi's entry accusing Shagun of the drama and Shagun's possible kick out.

Mihir's rationale for agreeing to marry Rinki, probably is that his asli sister was the cause of all evils to the bhalla family- the family that he holds dear and considers his family. So I guess, he would do anything to protect his adopted family's honor (whatever that means).

Don't know why they showed Mihika looking aghast at Mihir's upcoming marriage. She didn't expect him to stay unmarried all his life waiting for her, and as far as Mihir is concerned and from what Mihir knows about Mihika's wedding and her pregnancy, he is history.

Aur kya kya dikhaoge CVs? Kaash, you had used a little bit of brain and not done the Mihika-Ashok kaand.. it would all have been ok. Anyways, the logic boat has sailed away, lets see how you can manage to stay afloat..

G, love your post an especially your collage of the mono expression queen... *sigh* this episode was a train wreck from the moment it started to the end...ridiculous in every level and honestly it is a true exercise in futility to try and see the bright side of this one... I'm not even going to try.

I'm not as frustrated as I was after reading all your posts and venting along with you... you've all express so very eloquently everything that is wrong with this episode. So I'll focus on the promise of what's to come instead... it's my only solace. There are two things (besides the idea of a woman being incomplete without marriage - which you all discussed beautifully) that need to be addressed from todays episode that I hope get a constructive conversation in the coming episodes.

1. Toshi & the GKC Fever

Half of us can be frustrated while the other half heartedly try to justify her words and actions for love of the show- that she represents the viewpoint that still exists rather prominently in our society today. All that aside, this is the first time in my recollection that she has addressed Ishita as 'other' infront of Raman and presumably it's the first time the GKC Fever will show its full effects infront of Raman in the yet to come episodes.

I hope that Raman addressees the wrongness of this kind of thinking and tells his mother that Ishita is his wife, his family and not an outsider and should never be addressed as such and also clarifies the stupidity of the GKC promotion while his precious daughter is so present. I've said it before and I'll say it again- the only person that can correct Toshi on this matter with any real effect is RKB and he needs to do so now. Considering the fact that theirs is a family where the only two children currently being raised by them are Ru & Ananya, this is absolutely ridiculous and needs to be sorted before they begin to truly understand the implication of those words.

As for the 'othering' of Ishita , I love that Madhu came to her defence but she shouldn't have to. One can dismiss it as an impulsive statement, but I subscribe to the belief that even the things you say on impulse are things you do consider as true to some level. Mrs. Bhalla in some part of her mind still separates Ishita from her family, that is the saddest realization of this whole affair to me- to have done so much, to have given so much for this family and still not be considered one of them... how painful. I hope Raman makes it clear that ISHRA are a unit, ISHRARU are a unit and Ishita is not separate from him- his mother needs to hear this.

2. RKB the silent spectator

I refuse to believe that this is my RKB. The very last thing my RKB is , is silent in the face of injustice- especially against his family. The man that fought for her when they were barely friends (Param) , when they were only friends (licence) is now standing in the sidelines while she is getting roasted when he knows she's th love of his life? No. That's not him. From the OLVs it sees he won't be doing much defending during the big ousting either.. but I have to believe that he will take his stand about his relationship and his woman infront of both his mother and ex very shortly. Like with Romi, I choose to believe that Raman is staying silent and taking it all in until he can give it back. He is letting Ishita have this moment to defend herself because he knows she can do it, that she doesn't need him to rescue her... just to be her silent support.

I have to believe that like with the New years party where he remained mute and then told Ishita his real feelings in a calm manner in the privacy of their own room he will do the same here once the dust clears; to both his mother, and to Shagun when the opportunity arises. But most importantly, for me, he needs to tell Ishita. This is not about the little C -- this is about saying 'this this what you mean to me, do not even think for a minute that anything they said is true.' They need to have an honest conversation about everything that Shagun and Toshi alleged about Ishita and the ISHRA relationship and Raman needs to make certain she understands that no matter what they say- he is always by her side, that she matters to him, matters more then them and matters in away that they can't understand. She needs that reassurance. And he needs it too.

As to the matter of Ishita's fertility and ISHRA's bedroom activities, I really hope that it does not get addressed infront of the family. I am sick of their personal relationship being aired in public as if that connection itself is some sort of joke. What's between them is private and it should remain so. The fertility issue is more Ishita's business then anyone else's and TBH I would rather everyone, especially Toshi, keep thinking of her as infertile until she is completely accepted and the Adhi/Romi issue resolved. Her body, her decision and the physical relationship that blooms between them should be out of desire to express their love and nothing more or less then that. They shouldn't come together in order to fulfil Toshi's desire for a child or to prove Shagun wrong about their private life. After all the ways that this aspect of their life has been teased and dragged, it should mean more then this. Despite how they have messed up most of the track, on this issue atleast the CVs have been rather consistent and I hope it remains so.

The episode being what it was, it did bring up a lot of pertinent issues and I hope that atleast the CVs will respect their audience enough to address them in a mature fashion after spending so many months repeatedly bringing forth the same frustrating topics to the forefront and not giving them proper consideration.

All that being said... tomorrow is the beginning of the ousting and atleast one slap!!!!!!
