Okay you all are allowed to bash me left right and center for not finishing this story.
Im really really really SORRY. I been busy with life and to be honest I have been avoiding the forum. Lack of interest and imagination has taken over me paired with disinterest in the show. Oh man how do I even justify my self., point is I just couldn't complete this story.There is one person who has been constantly messaging asking for an update so here it is!
Well I'm on week vacation so lets see if I can complete, I wont even say I will say will cause I know lied when I said it earlier. 😆 Bare with me folks😳.
P.S I didn't reply back to my replies only because it was so long ago and you all probably forgot about it,,,but want to say thank you sooo much! Truly means alot! 🤗

Chapter 12
She has single handily destroyed him morning. Whenever he approached to talk her, even in the pretext of work, she ignored him and that affected him. He just couldn't seem to make any sense of her. If only he knew what he has done to get this treatment from her.

"Arey Bhai I was expecting you and Ishita to call in sick today and stay home to recover" Romi teased with a wink as Raman came to sit with them for lunch after the numerous call Bala gave him.
Raman gave him a glare.
"Oops I mean Bhabhi... Ishita BHABHI" Romi corrected himself.
"Just shup up Romi!" Raman stated pissed off. He was in no mood to take in the light tease.
"What happened Raman?" Bala asked.
"Nothing happened"
"Even after all my effort? I spent two hours to set up your room, Bhai you are such a waste" Romi faked a complain.
"I'll break your face in 2 minutes and show you who is a waste" Raman sounded ridiculously angry causing Romi to repent his behaviour.
"Ramannn, what's wrong? Why so much anger?" Bala asked. Raman composed him seeing people nearby looking at him.
"I just can't understand her. I'm telling you, she is going to be the death of me Bala"
"Ishita?"
"Who else?" He mocked. She won't let me do anything"
Romi couldn't help to chuckle, to him it sounded like Raman was angry because of the lack of action on his nuptial night. Unlike Bala, he wasn't aware of the exact nature of their so called "contract marriage". But he knew the way Raman felt about Ishita. He had seen him shamelessly checking her out and enjoying close proximity whenever possible. He has seen Raman purposely initiating arguments just keep her attention on him and he has seen how he bashed any man who tried to near her. Those who payed attention to Raman couldn't miss the possessiveness he had on her and the love for her. Maybe that the reason why most people weren't surprised at their union. It was just bound to happen.
Raman gave him a another frustrated glare. But before he can say anything Romi got up. "Sorry boys I have better things to do rather than be complaining about wife problems" he stated as he walked out to attend his girlfriend's call.
As Romi went out of sight Bala turned his attention to back to Raman. "What happened between you two now?"
Taking a deep breath, Raman narrated their morning blunter. "I just don't know how bring her close to me Bala...One minute she is all okay and then next she does this"
"I don't know what to say Raman, Seems like Ishita is..." but before Bala could finish.
A voice interrupted "Ishita is afraid"
Both Raman and Bala turned to look and got surprised seeing Vandu. Raman became uncomfortable seeing her there, knowing she had heard his conversation, he knew it wouldn't be too long before his madarasan does too. As if things were already bad enough between them.
"Vandu we were just..." Raman tried to rectify himself.
"It's okay...I heard everything Raman, no need to explain. If you must know Ishita isn't in any better state then you."
Raman frowned hearing her speak. What does she mean by Ishita wasn't any better.
"She was angry on herself for behaving coldly toward you." Vandu cleared his doubt.
"Then why is she doing it?" Bala asked on his behalf.
"Like I said she is afraid."
"Afraid? ...Afraid of what?" Raman quizzed. What has he done now to make her afraid, he couldn't help to wonder.
"Falling in love with you Raman"
"whaa...ttt?..." He stuttered as words registered in his brain.
A smile crept his lips as he heard those words. Would she, would his wife really fall in love with him. Oh the sound of those words. He took a pause, those words sounded too good to be true. She seemed so indifferent to him just this morning, then how is it possible.
"Vandu I don't think that's right. She was probably upset for being rude, after all that not like her" He tried to reason.
"Hmm...you are right Raman. I don't think she is afraid of falling ...I think she is already in love...Like you are with her..." Vandu stated narrowing to look directly in his eyes conveying her seriousness about her claim and making sure she was right about him loving her.
Raman didn't deny, which assured Vandita she was indeed right about him.
"She just hasn't realized it..." she trailed off.
"Ah talk about fools in love" Bala joined. "Now I agree with you Raman, she is definitely going to be the death of you" he chuckled.
"Stop it Bala.! " Raman stated, the happiness that came in his voice didn't go missed from both Vandu and Bala.
"Vandu don't take me wrong but don't confuse me more then I already am. I don't want to complicate anything with Ishita based on your assumptions." He tried to suppress the joyous emotions welling up in him.
"They aren't assumptions Raman. Though she hasn't said it herself, I know her enough to say at least this." Vandu stated with an assuring smile. Part of Raman still looked unconvinced. She let out a sigh" I guess all I'm trying to say is don't give up on her...she is fighting off her own feelings and you can't let her win" she said getting up to leave as Mihika called out to her.
"I think we should get going too" Bala said getting to up leave. Raman nodded as he got up.
"Vandu...did she eat?" He couldn't help to ask.
She smiled. "Haan Raman, she ate"
" and one more thing...let this conversation stay between us only" He hesitantly pleaded
" I won't say anything...that's your job" she patted his shoulder before running off to catch up with Mihika.

The rest of the day what Vandu said played in his mind. Could his Jhansi ki Rani really be afraid of love? He knew about her past. He knew about her heartbreak, but that's only because she chose to love a bas***d like him. He was nothing like that man, she knew that didn't she? Then why should she be afraid of loving him.
He reflected back on her "I don't want you to feel obligated to me because of the baby Raman"..."-we don't love each other Raman"..." If you find a women you love, you don't have to stay with me" he recalled her words. Then it hit him, maybe she was doing all this because she thought he didn't love her? Perhaps she is thinking she was doing him a favor by building a distance? Or was she also afraid of rejection like him? Whatever it was she was wrong!
How does he tell her she means everything to him? Should he open up his feelings for her? What if she denies? What if Vandu is all wrong about her, what if he is all wrong?Raman shook his head. These questions could only gave him a headache.
The answer to all his questions resides in her but she wasn't going to answer them. If only he can get just a hint about her feeling for him, he thought. "Arey Madrasan...you have turned me into mad case" he murmured looking toward her cabin.
When the clock hit 6. He saw her coming out her cabin calling it day. He quickly closed up the open files on his desktop and shut down the computer as he headed out to catch up with her.
As she saw him also making way to the elevator, her heart skipped. She was successful in avoiding him in the office, but home was going to be different, it would be difficult.Or maybe she already got tired of own game. She was waiting for him to say something but to her surprise he stood in silence, not even passing her a glance.
The elevator ride down felt longer then usual to her. She constantly threw looks toward him only to see him looking elsewhere. As the doors finally opened ,she saw him walking toward his car showing the same indifference she has shown him all day. She felt invincible to him. How can he ignore her like this, she wondered. She felt a knot in her stomach as she watched him drive off.
Well she succeed on her plan, then why was she so bothered. She hated this feeling,
"Oh god not again? " Her mind complained and her heart simply smiled.
