There's a Bollywood movie too that I guess was inspired by the Hollywood film. The only difference is that Ishita and Shagun grew up together (Preity Zinta and Rani Mukherjee respectively).

The Hollywood one was the guy who met with an accident, and the girl got him to the hospital. But then She falls in love with his brother as time passes by. 😛
