Appa still did not talk with her properly on Monday or Tuesday or Wed morning,

"Then what ma? Appa doesnt have breakfast with me any more, is not up waiting for me, no Finance Ministry tweets for me, nothing..." II missed Appa

She went to her room and threw her silk dupatta, she wore a peach khadi chudidaar set.. she hated the turqoise dupatta for some reason she rummaged through her Godrej and found a magenta silk with mirror work all over
Amma came in "Yen pesa maatan, why wont he talk"
II shut her Godrej slamming the door
"Avana kelu" "Ask him"
"I thought girls these days chatted texted and all" Amma said
"NANNA sanda poduvaan, he will FIGHT with me" she said fuming..
Wearing kohl... and chunky metallic jeweler with magenta accents including jhumkas...

I am saying all this so Appa can realize I am not marrying SRK, I am not singing in the park, not sneaking out on dates, not eating ice cream, not drinking coconut water with one straw" II let out all her frustration
"Can I call Vandu?" Amma asked
Vandu was the doctor, therapis, counselor everything

II looked for some pretext to call him or talk to him... it was over 40 hours AND NOT ONE EFFORT FROM THE GUY
Amma smiled a little, she realized II missed him... she realized R&B was a unexpressive guy, and II was struggling to have him say something
And then also dealing with Appa's moods
"I can tell Appa something do u want to go see him in the evening?'
II stopped by her footboard her dupatta laying on near the post, yanked and wore it..
"I am not desperate Ma" she muttered
"Ishita only 4 weeks kanna" Amma said reassuringly
"I know" "Apram I will just come here if he is mean or ignores me"

"Avan solraan I can only come here once a year" accusing
Amma smiled fully relaxing...EVERYTHING WAS OK IN PARADISE HER BABY WAS JUST PINING FOR THE GUY
"We will assume u live in Paris or something" Amma said softly smiling mischievously
"When he goes to Paris I will come live here"

"If he doesnt take me with him then I cant stay there" II was throwing a tantrum
"If he has to go there very month?"
"Then he has to take me" Ii sulked

Then he cant go" II said softly..

"He spent 5 hours on Sunday no?"

She heard Appa... "Amma I want to transfer money to ur and Appa's joint account" she whispered

"I mean it... my student loan is over half way done, car loan will go for a few years... I have more than enough Ma"
"Ask R&B kanna, u should not be doing these things" Amma said fearfully

Amma looked at father and daughter back and forth back and forth and sat down wearily
Appa refused breakfast and took off for work, she closed everything up and let Selvi in picked up her laptop and went off to work...
Vandu received a text from R&B at around 4 ish on Wed asking her "Will 7 on Friday evening work Vandita?"
She texted Bala excitedly and responded to him asking "Itni jaldi?"
she got back a smiley... "Later?'
"Arey nahi 7 is great R&B" she texted back
"Bala ko bhi la sakti hoon na?"
"I guess..." and a wink

A smiley back... II could have told that meant NOBODY else, but since II wasnt around Vandita interpreted it as "What does smiley mean?" she didnt ask the dude
"I can ask Sam" he said after 15 or so minutes

"Both kids" came back in half hour or so
Amma would call Akka Thursday in the evening before Appa and II returned... to vent wondering HOW they were going to accomplish everything in 3.5 weeks
Vandu hyperventilated a little

Vandu:Nothing Ma whatever they felt they told Bala when we returned that Saturday after she got that ring... last week?

Bally and II had late afternoon, early evening meetings about the out of town showrooms,
since R&B had derailed everything about Gurgaon workshop by not approving HW upgrades, out of town workshops in
many states were way bigger than Gurgaon workshop and most likely would require HW upgrades as well
Excelsior was not willing to address it, KMPG just continued to build for "hold" and proceeded with other Delhi showrooms for now
Nothing about her life changed, though she was going to be married in 3.5 weeks Akka and her were going to go to
Nalli to look for sarees, Appa had written to relatives today or MUST have written
Yet another explosion was likely to happen
II dragged her feet at work not wanting to go home early...Bally said he would drop her home today... she let Amma keep the car...
