Terrific collages and quotes Gan- loved KP & DT's looks today and ISHRA's most persistent cupid looked perfect in her cameo as well.
What a beautiful, balanced episode. Looks like the CVs are really working on the art of balance these days.. hope it continues upon Shagun's return.
Will wait for your post and then comment... unlike Saturday!☺️ Sorry. No more RES-ing for me.
---- EDIT----
Love your post- especially your point about being 'Isimaa' and 'Papa' and Raman finally getting what he yearned for from his son.
A lot more to appreciate in this episode then perhaps I expected. A lot of people talked about the big moments, so I will appreciate the little moments. I loved the immediate change in RKB's aura when Ishu took her seat beside him in the hospital- how much her mere presence means for him doesn't even need to be verbalized. Just looking at his body language, the way the tauntness leaves him and he visibly softens, the way he opens up ... more then the hospital scene when she was the patient for the fast it reminded me of their first real bonding experience, when Ammah was in the hospital- what a beautiful contrast those scenes make.
His ability to be so vulnerable around her and trust that she will be his strength and support
as always is a beautiful thing to behold. And that 'really?' *thud* again, one word, the same word as when she talked about how they had a 'dream wedding' and he was the 'perfect husband' and I'm gone- KP is just too much sometimes...
As for his defense of Ishu, what I really appreciated about that scene was the presence of Mr. & Mrs. Iyer. Until now, they have herd Ishu speak of Raman's love for her, they have suspected it a well but they have never been witness to the change in Raman upon realizing his love. I am discounting their exchange in the hall at Rinki's welcome party because in its flirtatiousness it was quite similar to similar exchange of the past .
And this confrontation with Toshi is the kind of thing that Madhavi had feared- so for them to witness his unabashed support of Ishu and see the strength in her partner when she is standing there not defending herself, to see him not even requesting a defence, I believe that said more to the Iyers about the change in their relationship then any words could have. Of course Raman has always been Ishu's knight in shining armour, as much as ishu has been his but this Raman- this 'don't bash my wife because she is my wife and she doesn't need to say anything because I
know her, you know her ' Raman- that's a sight to behold.
Loved ISHRARU and our princess Ru, always ready with a warm hug to protect and save her Papa and Ishimaa. The only thing I want to point to in that scene is the fact that Ishu was blaming herself. Of course she should have been honest with Raman, but her reasoning there is somewhat understandable. But her reasons for blaming herself- that's of more interest to me.
That again goes to the psychology of her infertility and the inferiority complex it has created within her in my opinion. This particular instance is about the insecurity she feel as a step mother, as a 'lesser mother'...and to a certain extent a lesser woman. She is blaming herself for being blind to what was coming- not for the act itself but the intention. She is blaming herself because if she had connected with him, if she had been what Raman thinks she is (the reason Adhi is starting to connect with him) then this would not have happened.
And maybe on some level, she is mourning that she can never be what Raman wishes she was - Adhi's mother. This ofcourse, is only armchair psychology, but to some extent I think there is truth in here. And , as I have previously stated, I really hope that CVs delve more into this aspect of Ishu's psyche. It makes her more real, less perfect and wonderfully complex.
PS: By no more RES-ing I meant I will no longer reserve empty posts, like I did on Saturday- not fair to you or anyone else. I'll do my best to always say something in my responses, rather then simply reserving.
