Not that he recognize when he speaks, but she is just his fiance, yet to be part of the family. Unless they are married legally, he would consider him as fiance. Is it confusing?

Yes, Toshiji, his mother is on Ishu's side, but it is yet to be seen if her trust in Ishita is right or not.
