In YHM we have seen and continue to see the amazing chemistry that exists between Raman and Ishita. And with each advancing day its zest does not follow the graph of diminishing returns. To such an extent that people all over would bless them to come together in real life.
However, more amazing than that is the interpretation of motherhood that Divyanka portrays through her role as Ishita .To all those who cannot for whatever reason become mothers Ishita has shown that there is really no connection needed with the umbilical chord for a woman to be a mother. There are millions of barren women and millions of motherless children in this world.
In wake of the terrible rape case which has taken place in the capital and one more incident has been added to the list of shame about which we read in the papers almost everyday I would like to say that Ishita's portrayal of motherhood should find a place in our hearts and beings and thus find a way into the universal memory pool.Thereby becoming a valuable source from which generations can draw to evolve and make the world a happier place. For the hand that rocks the cradle rules the world. And with it would come a change in perception and mind set for the better in all aspects of life and the list of shame would gradually shrink.--- because with this awareness about the power of motherhood which is manifold and strong and cannot be imprisoned in biological confines would emerge a new thinking which would not permit us to think about abortions till it is a male, forcefully demanding a child when the woman is not ready for it and changing a life partner because she cannot conceive. The negative impact of theses atrocities which women have been bearing since time immemorial would get a chance to be wiped out of the memory pool and in its place would be happier memories of children who have discovered new found loving mothers and women whose worlds have opened up ---when her new child breaks into a smile on seeing her--

Truly awesome post 👏
It is indeed sad that humanity needs to be reminded to respect women but we cannot run away for reality, and that is the reality.

YHM and Ishita have certainly fulfilled their responsibility to the society at large, being a popular serial in a media of high impact in a country like India where TV icons, though not as big as film world icons, are equally influential.

Society has long since needed an awakening to the fact that women are not merely a source of lust and entertainment or vessels of child birth. Women are human beings with self worth, talent and the ability to contribute more to society beyond her child bearing skills.

Hopefully Ishita and YHM will be an eye opener to all those detractors that state barren women do not deserve a life or happiness, step mothers can never love a child as much as or more than a biological mother etc

It's time to move away from the cliches or archaic assumptions of society, and thanks to YHM and Ishita it may actually be possible.

While I don't expect much from YHM as a show to teach anything to those around us. For me it's enough that four women among us here at the forum respond and understand your beautiful post! Small drops make an ocean!
To me it is obvious that the makers of show borrowed from changing society and your wonderful words tell me society is changing despite regressive television
Yes Ishita is an example but for me Ishita stands for many women who have already set examples. We must look around us into us only!

Thank you thank you
