I can easily say this is the best work done on this forum of exploring Ishita's past and present at the same time without digressing from the main storyline of the show. You picked Mani for that!! Initially I was dubious about your choice but as soon as I finished reading it I became speechless. You not only defined where Mani went wrong but you dug into her past through his eyes as well. You're spot on differentiating the two phases of Ishita's life and you brought Mani ,a third person, to actualize it which brought more charm and freshness into the story.
I wish (won't happen, i know😆) to see this kind of realization from Mani on the show. Thank you Dil Se for this brilliant OS. 👏 🤗

First of all, a big hug for this OS. 🤗 As we discussed earlier, I wanted you to write a piece on Mani as we share common hatred from him. 😆 I thought you would inflict pain on him though we agreed he could've been used as a beacon to reveal Ishita's past as CVs clearly missed the train. But I never expected this! You of all people took that opportunity and delivered an exceptional OS.


I must say without any bias that this is probably the first of its kind writing in this forum that so elaborately delineated Ishita's past without straying from the main show. Since you wanted to stay true to her character, you picked all the descriptions from the show--- her orthodox upbringing, getting in a relationship with Subbu at the eave of her teenage years, blind idolizing of her BIL, Mani's presence in her life as the first anchor. Even the events you described were more or less borrowed from the show. You explored very less creative liberty as a writer and I know why. The conclusions and realizations you drew through Mani sounded perfectly realistic. It felt like you accumulated the hints from the writer of the show and added them up bits by bits to draw a conclusion that the writer , Ms. jaffer, vaguely and masterfully suggested throughout the show. The fact that you selected Mani for this made it all more interesting. A job very well done. 👏

I knew you would point out Mani's wrong judgements and actions, unsaid feelings but you made him realize to control it as well. I would take it as a closure from Mani's side and he certainly needed that to move on finally.

Whether Ishita realized it or not but I too think she's fallen in love for the first time.

I never thought I would be saying this but Mani's presence completely made sense here. You used his POV to peep through Ishita's past and realize his present. Being the best friend of Ishita, he certainly knows Ishita's a nature. He very clearly observed men in Ishita's life- Subbu and Raman. What Ishita might not apprehend so easily that Mani easily can being a close friend. I loved how he suddenly realized after recalling all the events from past to present, Ishita-Subbu relationship was a childhood crush and now what Ishita is experiencing with Raman is actually love. You didn't divert from the contents of the show, rather you tried to use only show's contents to depict the realization. It made it real, it felt like like you just voiced out the hints given by the writer of the show.

I would say it is interesting and different

Brilliant peace of writing dear 👏 you said it all what we all know and think about Mani's character.. he surely have feelings for ishita but obviously its to late.. and you truly said he was no where subbu and ishita relation called off he could have been there as friend and now when ishu have her loving..careing husband .. Mani comes and interfering in there life... he judge Raman and call him bad husband and Ruhi she is reason ishu's happiness.. Mani even called Ruhi as beggage.. but atleast ishita told him that what Raman means to her she loves her Husband Raman.. she have a happy family...

Mani's character was promoted as cupid but then I didn't see that ... anyways once again Beautiful written ... May i know your name please 😊
