Hi guys,
Well I'm not a writer in fact a silent visitor to the forum who loves reading various stuff here. I just penned down something really small and thought to share it here.
I know many of you love ishita and ruhi the most, but for me it has always ,infact even in the beginning been Raman and Ruhi. I don't know what it is or why it is but this father daughter duo has always attracted me more. They seem to me like magic. Without taking much time I'd just like to share what I've written.
**no offence to anyone whatsoever**
"A daughter may outgrow your lap but never your heart!"
The lights, the decor, the guests suddenly seemed dull to him.She had left him. He had tears running down his cheeks. He felt pain like never before. The day which he had been waiting for right from when she was small but somewhere in his heart dreaded the very same day was finally over. With swollen eyes and a heavy heart, he wondered how can a person live by giving away a piece of one's heart. She was his life, his heart, his smile, his love and his daughter Ruhi. He remembered how estatic he was when he first held her, he had tears then, tears of happiness. She was for a moment in his hands but had already occupied his heart - Forever! Such is the love of a daughter. He walked in the bhalla house which was beautifully decorated with lights, flowers all over, yet there was a silence which filled the house. The house which echoed with her laughter it's silence killed him. All his beautiful memories with her flashed before his eyes. He could see his little Ruhi running around the table, trying to dodge him not wanting to be caught. He could hear her voice"Papa mujhe aap se baat nahi karna" when he came late from office or "papa main aapka sar daba doon" when he came home tired. Her once smile would release all his tiredness, his frustration. He laughed with tears running down his eyes as he moved towards the kitchen, he recollected how they used to have ice-cream in the kitchen without the light, so that ishita would have no clue as what they were up to. How Ruhi would argue that chocolate ice-cream was better than his favourite butter-scotch. Papa papa papa.. was all raman could hear! He broke down she was no longer with him, she had gone, gone like a butterfly to another house to spread happiness to spread joy and to spread LOVE, A love like no other! It pinched him that from tomorrow, he won't get his morning kiss from his daughter, he won't get her experimental dishes to eat, most importantly he won't get to see her like everyday and this thought shattered him. He was weeping, his eyes were bloodshot red. The person who could turn his saddest day to his happiest one with her cute little antics, her cute talks was gone. He had tried to control his emotions for a long time but this was his limit. He cursed this rule of a daughter having to be brought up and one day sent away! How he wished it could be the other way round and his Ruhi would stay only with him forever. Why life had to be so unfair.Meanwhile his phone rings, and the name which flashed on the screen brought a million dollar smile on his face.
Raman: Ruuu (trying not to cry)
Ruhi: Papa aap abhi tak soye nahi?
Raman: No beta bas jaa hi raha tha, aap iss waqt.. sab theek hai na beta?
Ru: Yes papa. Bas Aap sab ki yaad aa rahi thi.Aur sabse zyada aapki (In tears)
Raman: mujhe bhi beta, this house is so lonely without you. Mujhe nahi lagta aaj mein so paunga.
Ru: (laughing with tears in her eyes) main aapko Bachpan wali story suna do?
Raman: laughing at her gesture... beta you must go now, they must be waiting for you. Goodnight take care. Miss you beta.
Ru: Goodnight papa I love you. Ab aap jaldi se sojao warna toh dark circles ho sakte hai. Bye papa !
Raman: bye beta! Wondering how she had this ability to make him smile even in such a situation. He realised that a daughter is a daughter all her life. She was his life, his heartbeat, his soul, in his breath, in his thoughts. She was his now 'not so little' RUHI.
