Has RAPE lost its meaning?

Hello everyone I am new here and I joined recently just to share my thoughts on the recent attitude of shows. and i hope to get good support from you guys. please cooperate with me. thank you.😊
Be warned. as I might just start cursing and my language might be offensive. so sorry before hand.😕

First of all I wanted to ask if any of you watched the last episode of Satyamev Jayate. must have I guess considering its a really popular show. There they were speaking about how films show a negative prospect of a relationship between a man and a woman. well they forgot to add something . . . umm . . .🥱EKTA KAPOOR AND HER FREAKING FREAKED UP FISHING SHIT OF A SHOW.😡

seriously?🤢
SERIOUSLY? 😡

When I watched YHM I was expecting so much because this is the first a show - especially Ms. Ekta Kapoor's show - had a really strong female lead, a woman, both independent, confident like a 21st century woman should be and on the other hand keeping the Indian morals in mind she is a naive, golden-hearted woman. An ideal daughter, sister and now a (step)-mom, second wife and good daughter-in-law who still bears all the insolent insults and forgives everyone.👏👏👏

yay for that.🤪

But oh well it was forgivable considering it was a good improvement from her previous serials😉😉😉)

I could tolerate Raman's intolerable aggressive rant, blah-blah. I understand he hates women because of his hateful past but Ishita could have also hated all men, right? She lost a million proposals and was insulted continuously by one of her previous lover's mother but still she was NICE, RESPECTFUL and SWEET. So I do not understand his ugly behaviour. I come from a dysfunctional family so I know what aggressive means and Raman is a toxic person who is not healthy in reality for a girl like Ishita.

Raman is an alcoholic jerk:All of the worst possible things a man could think of is done by Raman to Ishita. He manhandles his daughter Ruhi, if not for Ishita he would have scared the shit out of timid Ruhi. Alcohol makes him a bad and disgusting animal that every wife would avoid staying with. And of course my favourite part (Not the sarcasm)the infamous episode where he threatens to rape Ishita. Now, now before any of you defend this disgusting episode by telling me that -he was jealous - he was in love - he was hurt - he couldn't control himself because he was drunk -AND ONE VERY FAMOUS PATHETIC REASON- he desires her physically and as he thought he lost her love he wanted to show it to her by showing his love.

PLEASE EAT DUNG. thank you.😡😡😡
I will not be surprised if I see him slapping her.

Well guess what before you start telling me he would not rape her, he was just showing her blah blah yada yada, I watched the episode five times - YES FIVE OR MORE - and I clearly saw him push her on the bed, open his buttons and non-stop explaining her how he wasgoing toexercisehis husbandly rights on herbecause he never exerted pressure on her that is why she went to another man to satisfy her sexual desires. He then goes on tohumiliate her andtaunt her character questioning her purity and virginity. Thanks how romantic. NOT.😡😡😡

I didn't find anything romantic, hurting, painful and beautiful in it. All I saw a man trying to marital-rape his wife because of his pathetic misunderstanding. It was more like Raman's manhood, dominant ego was hurt.

Ishita is an annoying, too-good-to-be-true mary sue:Ekta has taught us how to create a beautiful character and then slaughter it eventually turning her into her idealized irritating Mary-sue orsati-savitri.When the infamous scene was taking place Ishita said amazing things to Raman, demonising his behaviour and showing her disgust at his manhandling . . .👏👏👏but then . . . Ekta Kapoor shows us that it was absolutely nothing to make a fuss about. In fact Raman did realise his mistake oftalking to Ishita rudelynot that he almost tried to rape her. Because you know its cool as long as people will forget about it
Believe me when I say this...my aunt suffered marital rape and due to which she has ptsd - she literally had panic attacks while she watched the infamous scene. Does EK realize that it can hurt sentiments? >_<
.

Ekta Kapoor then goes on to give a little romance between them to make up for the brain cells that I lost while watching that episode. But alas, I think it only reduced them because the next thing I saw was the birth of another idiot character - Ishita, Mataji's sister, choti mataji!

Of course Mihika, who else?

Choti Mataji - MIHIKA:She was one of my favourite characters. I absolutely loved her because usually Ekta Kapoor is always making a sister evil but thank god she wasn't. I always loved her strong, assertive personality.

but alas I was mistaken once again.

The Mihika I loved was replaced by the great birth of choti Mataji. She was just too influenced by the greater Mataji. uff

This is the first time I am so frustrated and hurt by watching a rape incident and this is the first time I do not sympathise with the victim. How could Ekta show such a disgusting scene. why was it needed? WHY?

I know I sound like stone-hearted witch but I am so sorry. Mihika was dumb. period. No truth can be proved without evidence and for that you need afoolproof plan. and also brains which obviously Mihika lacked blinded by the path of Mataji

First of all WHY DO YOU SYMPATHISE WITH THAT BITCH WHO INSULTS YOUR SISTER AND RUINED YOUR BROTHER-IN-LAW'S LIFE?

Secondly, if she wanted to expose Ashok why didn't she discuss it with her sister, or even Mihir?

when Ashok was harassing her why? WHY. . . didn't she inform MIhir? Ok I did love the fact she boldly tells Ashok that she isn't scared of her and won't run away just because he harasses her but normally you at least tell your sister, mom , friend colleague? ANYONE?

but alas her Mataji factor stops her.

Thirdly, why didn't she at least discuss with Ishita or Mihir instead of talking shit and beating so much around the bush? Ok fine then why didn't she at least call Shagun and Mihir and the others while she was busy seducing that lecher? She could have made them watch live while he was talking to her? BUT NOOO instead of exposing the truth she is drugged and raped and now an mms is made which will force her to get married.

why doesn't Mihika kill herself saves us a lot of hassle and brain cells. BECAUSE I AM DONE WITH THIS SHITTY SHOW FOR ONCE AND FOR ALL! GROSS!

Someone should shoot EKTA KAPOOR!😡😡😡

Please forgive me i do not want to offend anyone but I just could not control myself.😭😭😭

I agree with each word of u dear but u know wat the reality is here ppl do preach that they respect woman and they will never portray a woman as an object but its all just bogus in reality every film maker or a daily soup maker do show a woman as an object...we live in such a creepy society where ppl see a woman as an object..they will show until the public watches the shit so its not their fault completely its even the public's fault too who feels that woman is an object to use and throw...

Hohoho looks like you are frustrated to the core... All the daily soaps are like this, end of the day drama sells... Searching logics and expecting a story without drama in a daily soap is just waste of time... Best thing for viewers is to just watch it as an entertainment and not to take the characters seriously as to spoil your mood...

LOL I guess I am taking things too seriously. but all I want too say is that today it is fun tomorrow if it happens in reality you won't find it so amusing anymore. Women are already humiliated in the society enough it is even more insulting for a famous woman herself to betray her sex like that. Shows like EHT are daily soap too but at least they aren't showing women are submissive creatures to be rattled at. It is an insult because they fueling bad ideas to men. 🥱

Thankyou Lata_ishra for reinforcing my belief in intelligent viewers considering how some people are dismissing it as "just a show". I saw a post recently about a married woman defending the infamous IshRa scene as jealousy and lover under the pretext of anger and alcohol. umm doesn't she know its a dangerous combo factor? she goes on telling how she showed it to her husband and explaining her how he was jealous and blah blah.My aunt personally went through this marital rape ordeal. in fact her husband used to begin by doing the exact things Raman did that epi. I wonder if you change the genders what would her so-called husband label that - psychotic witch i guess. thanks I really loved your comment 😃😃😃

Its so sad that man do force themselves on their wives even now...the thought which our society follows is very sick that husband can do anything with wife as they are married but sorry that even a husband doesnt have rights to touch his wife without her consent...but sadly no one in our society follows it...
Thanks for liking my comment...even i am disappointed with the way they are portarying woman...again the same scene is being shown in ekta's other shows...still the trp are raising means we public are giving encouragement to the makers of the show...

Contradictory post! Who in their sane senses ventures to protest against rape, and slangs another woman in bold letters! I did not get your point.

Hi DarkLady. I am sorry as earlier I have already maintained I did not want to offend anyone. I am sorry to say but your comment is a little very sexist. no offense I am sorry. Let me be clear I do not care whether she/he is a woman or man. You are wrong that means YOU ARE WRONG. I wasn't insulting these women I was insulting the characterization, their personalities and their behaviour. It is weird considering I bashed Raman too but you haven't pointed it out to me right? Let us face it Mihika didn't have a plan she took a very big risk with everything in stake. She was dumb and stupid luckily Ashokh didn't rape as I recently got to know. BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THAT MIHIKA ASKED FOR IT RIGHT? I think you do agree with me. At the end of the day Shagun was "punished" (I do feel bad for her) whatever what about Ashokh and parmeet? Will they be free? Even if EK was a man I would have insulted her the same and as she is a woman herself I am shocked by these potrayal. Just because she is a woman it does not mean she can't be hated. I support truth whatever they are showing is gross and disappointing I hope you understood my POV. thanks and sorry 😃😃
