SS: HER OWN GOOD LAST PART
Everything in his head was telling him to just sit down and shut up and let this all just play out. But his heart and body had a mind of their own. He got up from the bed and walked over to her to check if she was okay. He touched her shoulder to turn her around.
Meanwhile Ishita knew at this point that she had lost and no matter what she did it was never going to change that. When she felt a hand on her shoulder she could not help but just turn around and hold him. She crushed into his arms with her head on his chest and started to sob like crying was the only thing that would make it hurt a little bit.
She slowly felts his arms around her waist as he slowly held her like both their lives depended on it. She broke the hug and looked down as she muttered,
' Sorry I didn't mean to lose control like that.''
Raman watched her as she kept on looking at the ground as if looking at him would give something away. He held her hands and said
'Ishita look at me'' She still refused and he pleadingly said
'Ishita Please look at me'' It took a minute and when she finally did. Her eyes were puffy, red and very teary. He squeezed her a hand and said
' No you never had a chance. Yes I loved Shagun very much but if you had met me before Shagun then you would have never had a chance. Because then I would not have loved you right. Shagun leaving me made me a better man. Sometimes bitter but you came into my life and that changed. I became a better man and father because of it''
' Raman you do not have to explain anything to me.'' She said
' No no its okay I want to. I learnt that someone can love me without expecting anything in return. With Shagun that was never the case. My love had always to be measured with what I got her. With you all I have to do is be there and that scares the crap out of me.''
He gulped down and she saw how he difficultly tried to speak. As she tries to tell him to stop he held up his hand up and said
'Let me finish because if I do not say this know I probably never will. You put me on this pedestal that I fear I may disappoint you, I love you Ishita. I love you more than you know and not like Shagun but much more than that. I want to love you and make sure you never regret having married me. Love you in a way that you forget that stupid man who left you because he was an idiot and yet I am grateful because I would have never been able to know you. I want to just do all these crazy early morning madrasi rituals that I hate by the way because they interfere with my sleep but I would do any way just to see that ludicrous look on your face when you wake me up. I want to be able to wake up to that stupid goofy smile of yours that I absolutely love and be able to tell you how much I cannot leave without it. I want to see that crimson red that appears on your cheeks every time you blush because am looking at you. But am scared''
She looked at him a bit surprised and let out a small laugh as she continued to blush profusely. This man still had the power to make have butterflies in her stomach even when she was extremely hurt and angry because of him
' Why are you scared? What are you so scared of Raman?'' She asked still looking at him
'That you will end up regretting why you married me and hate me because of all the things you go through and that I cannot take. You can pretend that you were not hurt every time Shagun said mean things or Adi did something bad to you but you can not lie to me because I see right through it'' He answered
' Yes it hurt I won't lie but so what. I got over it. Adi is a child who doesn't understand relations and just needs our care. He is our son after all and Shagun I would not careless because I know that she knows she screwed up letting you go. Give me a chance to love you Raman and I swear on everything I hold dear I do not regret anything and never will'' She said holding his face
'Ishita I just ... ' He answered with uncertainty
'Raman please I really do not want a divorce and I know you do not want one as well. Please I am not as weak as everyone thinks. I can take it and as long as I have you I can take it all. Plus it will not always be like this. Things get better I promise. Please ' She said pleadingly
' Are you sure because if we are to stay married, you cannot back down.'' He asked looking at her with a stern look wishing she said yes.
'I swear on my life am not going anywhere. Sorry Ravan Kumar your stuck with me.'' She answered as a small smile crept up her lips
He looked at her and saw the small bright smile on her lips and could not help but feel how on earth he could break such a heart. He thought to himself how ridiculous that divorce idea was and how he had almost lost the most important thing in his life.
There was a minute of silence almost as if they were recognizing that their lives were about to change. He walked forward and slightly touched her cheek as he removed the fringe of hair that was blocking the view of her beautiful bright eyes. He then took her in his embrace like his life depended on it. He held her one hand on her waist and the other on her hair as he felt the wetness on his chest from the tears she was finally letting out.
Before she could move, she felt his lips touching her nape and she froze. Raman hesitated a little as he did not want to make her feel uncomfortable but he calmly continued dropping soft kisses across her nape and her shoulders until he felt her calm down in her arms.
He moved lower, his hand moving up her arms as he pressed light kisses along the pier of her neck as she arched back her neck giving him more access. His lips lowered to her shoulder and he pressed open mouthed kisses from the dent of her neck to her upper arm, slowly moving inwards.
He could hear her soft moans and could not help but chuckle a little bit and he teasingly asked her
'Do you want me to stop? Because if you do ... ?''
She shyly smiled clutching his shirt tighter and putting her head on his chest. She nodded her head to show that she did not.
He gently moved her hand so he could see her eyes and he could see he had as much effect on her as she did on him.
With his eyes locked on Ishita's, he took a step closer. She wasn't sure her heart had ever pounded so fast in her life. He leaned closer towards her and she was not sure what to expect, or do. So she just stood still.
She could feel his warm breath on her cheeks comforting her and she started to melt. She looked into his eyes and she knew it was coming. The moment she had been dreaming of.
Raman looked into her eyes and they were dark with desire as her lips shivered a little. She gulped down almost as if getting rid of a dry throat and she lightly licked her lips almost as if inviting him. He leaned in closer putting his hands on her cheek and her waist as his lips tangled with hers. Her lips resisted at first but she eventually gave in letting her lips melt with his.
Without even thinking, Ishita grabbed his face in my hands, the warm flush of his cheeks burning against my palms as she run her hand up through his hair pulling it a little. Sorrow's perfectly shaped bottom lip quivered and she finally realized how hard this had to be for him to hold back.
Tilting her head, she deepened the kiss and traced her tongue against the contour of his tender lips. Regret's lips parted then and he could taste her sweet tongue as she ran it across his. She felt him squeeze her lips and lean forward into her warm body as she wondered why they took so long to just let their feelings known and then she heard him mumble something.
' I have wanted to do this for a very long time Ishita?'' a single tear rolled down his cheek
'Ssshhh I know. I am sorry you had to wait this long'' she whispered with his face still in her hands
She kissed him again. The kiss although slow and lingering, had a fire a longing that only two passionate people can light up. Their lips testing exploring and finding out their feelings from a kiss. There was a sound but she did not care to know what it was as she was too engrossed in his kiss and his touch.
Raman pulled back as he could hear the phone ring. He chuckled as he heard her moan in disapproval not wanting him to stop
' Ishita phone ' he whispered
'Leave it. ' She answered pulling him in for another kiss
' Ishita it could be important.'' He pulled back chuckling as he saw the disapproval in her eyes
' If I knew you were this wild I would have tried this a long time ago'' He said winking at her
She smiled and blushed profusely as she watched the love of her life walked across the room and wondered who the idiot was who had this horrible sense of timing.
'Hey Mihir what's up?'' He turned to look at her as he figured she was blushing like crazy and he loved that look on her. She looked very cute and adorable
' Arre Bhai the meeting where the hell are you?'' Mihir asked
' Oh shit I forgot about that. Dammit! Okay push it a little am going to be there in the next 15 minutes'' He answered as he watched the disappointing look in Ishita's eyes
'Do you really have to go?'' She asked pouting her lips as if hoping that will make him stay
Raman smiled as he walked over to his wife. He loved the way she loved him and by now he was certain that marrying her was the best decision he ever mad. He cradled her face between his hands while he gently kissed her lips. He felt her hands move slowly through his hair giving him a sensation that he knew if he explored that meeting was never going to happen.
He gently pulled back while she again protested and said
'Ishita I have to go. If it was not important trust me I would not have left.''
'I know'' she answered biting her lip
'Damn! You do not know the effect you have on me when you do that. That may stop me from going to the meeting'' He said
'Good is it working?'' she said as she teasingly winked while she continued slowly biting her lip
' Ha-ha okay I am leaving but this conversation is not finished'' He turned around to pick a couple of files that were on the table when he saw the divorce papers.
'Ishita I am so sorry about this'' He said with the divorce papers in his hands
' Apologies do not suit you Ravan Kumar.'' She said smilingly
'So we are okay?'' He asked a bit anxious
'More than okay although we won't be if you take long to come back'' she answered teasingly
'OH HO Fine I promise I won't take long.'' He looked at her and added
'I love you Ishita Please never doubt that''
'I know you do and I love you just as much'' and with that he opened the bedroom door and walked out.
Ishita watched as the love of her life walked out of the room a different man. Far different from the one who walked in with the divorce papers or the man she had married. A lot had changed since then and she was glad that she listened to her parents who had first suggested this marriage.
She felt a little bad because she had to literally blackmail him into admitting his feelings for her but she realized that sometimes to deal with a stubborn man you need to be stubborn as well. This was a story they would one day tell their grandchildren about the story of the love and journey. She could not wait until he got back to resume their kissing sessions again because she really loved doing that.
She smiled at herself realizing how far her life had changed and how lucky she was to have everything she ever dreamed of, a loving child, a great family and unbelievably adorable husband. With that she pulled her sari off and went to the bathroom for a much needed cold shower as a new dawn awaited.
